Okay guys, I was losing track of all the posts discussing a new contest, so here's an easier way to tally who wants which competition! I've listed out everything that's been suggested in this thread so far.

I can't speak on Anastar's behalf since this poll is not staff-endorsed or anything, but the contest with the most interest would probably stand the best chance of being held, since more competitors = more fun!

That said, by voting, you're not required to enter, but it'd be nice for you to enter the one(s) you voted for. It'd be pretty jarring if 20 people voted for the Fanfiction Only Contest and only 2 actually submitted anything. ;)

Something to keep in mind for the Combo contests-- we'll have to ensure that everyone has a partner, which might limit the number of submissions somewhat. I have an idea for a voting process that might help open it up to members who don't have/want a partner, but I'll discuss it later. ^_^

Yeah, I was actually keeping a list of who wanted what, but it just became too cumbersome and I wanted a graphical way of seeing the results in one glance. [/lazy]

I voted for the Fanfiction one shot and the Fanfic and doujinshi pair up because that sounds like a really brilliant idea ^_^

I voted for the doujinshi choices... I'd rather come up with some half assed story and some decent art rather than just some half assed story. o.O;

I voted doujin. But for the doujin+fanfic do you have to present both the fic and doujin? Cause that may serve as a problem for me and SG. I've tried writing this story in fic before and I just can't seem to do it. It was made for Doujinshi.
I hope we can do pairs just doujin alone or doujin+fic.

For the Fanfiction + Doujinshi Combo-- yep, you have to submit both a fanfic and a doujinshi separately.

If you don't have a fanfic version to submit, then the Doujinshi Only category is the place to go. Don't worry, you and your sister can list yourselves as the creators (i.e. work as a pair)-- if your entry wins, you're both considered the winners. ^_^

[EDIT] The poll results are getting interesting. Didn't expect this much interest in the doujinshi idea! XD

Good, I voted for doujin alone. Even if another contest gets chosen we're going to do the doujinshi anyway and post it in the fan art area cause we need the experience.

I voted for doujinshi also. I have an idea for one that I would like to work on. XD

Although it looks like everyone who's interested has already voted, I'll leave the poll open for a couple of more days, just in case. After that, it'll be closed and I'll let the staff know the results.

Just my opinion, NOT the staff's-- since Fanfiction has gotten the best response so far, it'll quite definitely be included. The two combo contests got pretty good responses too, so perhaps we'll end up with either a Fanfic+Doujin or Fanfic+Fanart combo.

Apologies to everyone for my late return, as I've been plagued by internet problems. I'll close the poll now, and we'll see what happens. ^_^
