Throughout the lifetime of this forum, our lyrics and poems section have been flooded with entries of all sorts, some only vaguely Cleris, some hitting right on the mark. Well, which one for you, is teh ultimate Cleris song?

For me, it's always Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. I *swear* this song was written for them!

My Cloud x Aerith anthem is a Greek song called "Den Xehniesai, Den Xehniesai" ("You are unforgettable, you are unforgettable") by Yiannis Parios.

He's basically singing about how impossible is to forget his love because she exists in everything. It's a such a beautiful, bittersweet song. I get all melancholy whenever I listen to it.

Mine would have to be The Garden of Everything. The lyrics and melody are just beautiful, and I always imagine Cloud and Aerith singing Steve and Maaya's parts respectively. :wub:

I love that song, it's so catchy and Clerisy!

My Clerith Anthem would have to be "Last Kiss" by Pearl Jam. It's a really sad song. Since it's about a guy who lost the woman he loves, it fits Clerith pretty well (except the story of how she died). This line from the song really reminds me of CxA in particular:

I agree, To Where You Are is the ultimate Cleris song and would definitly be my Cleris Anthem. It fits them beautifuly and is a beautiful song.

Well, I have three Cleris anthems--the classic Cleris anthem, the canon Cleris anthem, and the this-song-was-written-for-Cleris Cleris anthem. :D My classic Cleris anthem is undoubtedly "The Rain, the Park, and Other Things" by the Cowsills. My canon Cleris anthem is, obviously, "Calling" by Kyosuke Himuro. My this-song-was-written-for-Cleris Cleris anthem has got to be the amazing "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. But I think I pull Cleris out of just about every song I hear. :lol:

My CxA anthem would be Out of My League by Stephen Speaks. words/sentences in bold emphasizes. I do find some CxA-ish parts...

Man, I have many Cleris songs. A lot of them were already mentioned anyway! ^^; But my 150% Clerissy one has got to be "Everything" by Lifehouse. Although they're not my favorite band, the song is just so moving... it's so amaaazing. ^_^ I just heard it while driving in the car with my mother. She had the CD and played it. It was so deep and... my, it's indescribable. :lol:; Cleris was on my mind as soon as I got into the feeling -- and, o'course, the lyrics.

Man, this is a toughie! I have a whole list on itunes dedicated to songs for Clerith. . . Mmm, lets see if I can narrow it down to a couple of my personal favorites. ..

Pale~ Within Temptation- Well, come to think of it, this is more a Aerith song, though there are hints of Clerith in it, like the line "You are the reason I have to stay." Bleh, ok, this is more an Aerith song, forget it!

Lady in Red ^_^ Can't help it, I just think of Cloud and Aerith whenever I hear this song.

"Somewhere" by Within Temptation. I first heard this song to a Cleris vid, and man, it is perfect. The way it's sung is so beautiful, too.

"Wonderwall" by Oasis also reminds me of Cleris. They even have the lyric about "all the lights that lead us there are blinding". :lol:

The song that makes me think of Clerith the most has got to be "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer. It's a beautiful song, (and I can't get it out of my head right now).
