Anyone willing to help me get something started, here?

I'm mostly wanting to do something...perhaps...post AC based. Which means, post movie, with canon characters. But I seem to have a devil of a time getting anything off the ground! So, if anyone wishes to work with me, I'd appreciate it.

It has been suggested to me I actually need to put a PLOTLINE together before people actually take a look at it. Sorry, I'm too used to MU format where I just put peope on grid and go 'do whatever.'

What's left to deal with?

Ignoring Dirge of Cerberus for a moment, let's assume the following:

Rufus ShinRa wants to rebuild the City of Midgar to its former glory. And he's offering everybody in the city of Edge the chance to work. At much better rates then they're working previously. So he's starting to get the city of Edge to rebuild the city of Midgar. The problem, of course, is that to rebuild the city of Midgar...well, they'd have to get the Reactors going for power. And if the reactors get going...Dejavu all over again.

The first to hear of this are Tifa and Barret (Cloud has mysteriously disappeared. He was SUPPOSED to be coming to the party, really he was, but something 'distracted him' Guess who?) At any rate, the rest of Avalanche hears about this at the party short one guest of honor. Who has turned his cellphone off.

It'll take a long time for ShinRa to get Midgar up and running again...years, probably, with the damage to infrastructure it has...but it looks like they're ready to start trying. And the heroes of the world, twice, must now decide how and if they're going to stop them.

Meanwhile, during this time, Cloud is alone in a Flowerfield. With a spirit of a flowergirl. Yes, she was waiting for him there, and her presence soothes his weary soul even as it reminds him that it is possible to love her beyond the grave :cleris: and makes him turn off his cellphone so he can forget about life for a while.

There's gonna be hell to pay when he finally looks at his phone...

The most important characters are the many Features, of course. Pick those up before picking up originals.

(And I know there aren't a lot of guys around, so I trust nobody will object if I play Cloud myself? If nobody takes Rufus, I'll have to NPC him to keep the plot going, though)

I like the simple plot, it makes it easier for us rpers. ^_^ I don't mind complicated materia systems, but rpying is supposed to be for fun, and not a job or something with responsibility xD

I don't mind playing any characters, I guess, except for Cid and Barrett ^^' But I think Rikku would like to play as Teef, MT to play as Yuffie and Taco to be Aeris. :3

Okay. If they will post here and claim them, I will meanwhile get the main thread started on the other board.

Part of the reason for a post Advent Children format was:

Who cares about Materia? I'm not gonna keep track of materia. And most of the people we're going to be playing have proven in AC the movie that they really don't need materia.

Aaah, exactly! :D Who needs materia when you have two buster swords?! xD

I like to play Aeris and, well, nice characters, but I dunno who to choose now xD *waiting for Taco to come and claim someone* :B

Gah, um, I lub j00 guys, but I don't really like RPing without original characters, so I'm gonna have to pass. :sweat: I'd love to and all, but it'd definitely be a problem with me, because of FF7's fanbase and shiz, and my clotiness. ^_^ So...have fun guyz! :heart:

I'll allow some OCs too. (But take one of the mains too, if you want. I'm going to be multiple people, it seems likely others will too.) I'm not used to posting board format, but I did want to fill the FCs up.

And Rikkulicious, it's okay if you're a CloTi playing off my Cloud. It makes the 'Tifa' more realistic. Because I do not deny that Tifa has feelings for Cloud. I never did. Therefore, I believe your motivations would be very realistic for her. In fact, that's a dynamic I'd almost prefer. I do take the triangle part of the triangle seriously.

And yeah, I'm Cloud.

I dun mind at all playing Tifa, specially cause i'm half cloti, so yeah. But if Taco wants to play as Teef, I can be Aeris! ^_^ Although it's kinda hard to play as dead Aeris. :( How can she be used? Just popping up outta the blue and flirt with Cloud? o_O

As the one who invented the SpiritAerith theory, don't worry, I know exactly how Aerith can be used.

Basically, she lives in Cloud's consciousness full time, and his guilt is such she can appear to him. She can currently only manifest to him right now, though others can feel her presence at times (qv, kids in church). She also has access to her limit breaks while dead.

She can 'talk' to him anytime she wants, even with other people around, though he's the only one who hears her.

...And she can raise dead (or raise almost dead) whichever she did to Cloud.

Hum, I dunno if I wanna play as an Aerith that can only speak to Cloud :( I guess I'll play as Teef then... ^^'

Well, as the story develops, (and as Cloud learns to share), she'll be able to manifest to other people too, but that'll take time. Cloud's...underestandably sort of possessive. His grip needs to slacken, however, before he can have the love he wants...Aerith surely wants to speak to her other friends too!

And, Tifa it is then.

Aerith, being a spirit, is far more complex then usual.

Hey there! I'm not certain if I'll join at this point, but if I do, I might try out Barret, since he rarely gets taken. I am a little nervous about trying to get the right style of speach, and still gotta make a final decision, but if I do pick him, please be gentle if I don't do well. Plus I haven't tried playing as one of the actual characters, much for the same reasons as Rikku, other than lack of being a Cloti.

*pokes head in* Yikes, I don't come into this section often enough. *waves sheepishly at the RP Queens here*

If nobody wants Aerith, and seeing as how I suddenly seem to be quite free, I'd like to give her a try. The only other time I've RPed as her was on a GJ RP, and that was in a completely alternate world where every video game character in existence all lived in one apartment complex. :P

I've read a bit about your spirit!Aerith theory, Angelalex, so I'll try to make sure her actions fit into it. ^_^

This would also be my first time trying board RPs, and I haven't written anything (fic-wise or RP-wise) for months so-- be gentle!

Howdy all, I'm back! I wasn't sure that I was going to join, but I suppose I will give it a shot. I'll give a post soon, I'm just settling back home, so I think I'll wait until tomorrow probably to post.
