Hey I want to make an AMV using FFVIIAC but I don't what programs to use or how to use the DVD to make the vid.

emm.. if you have a prgram called windows movie maker you could make one but its not soo good thats what am stuck with just now but if you want better programs you have too pay for them and the good ones can be quite expensive <_< soo some ppl are just stuck with WMM..... you need to get specail programs to put your dvd on too you pc but am sorry am not sure what the names are :unsure:

Basically, though, what you'll need is a song (audio file), scenes (you can rip footage from AVI files using freeware programs such as VirtualDub) and a movie maker (Windows Movie Maker, Nero Vision Express, Adobe Premier etc.)

Well I got tired of waiting so I made a music video with scenes from FFIX,but don't know if I have to ask for permission from Square or Linkin Park before I upload it anywhere.

You got tired of "waiting" for... what?

Clips? A step-by-step guide from one of our members? Links?

As for permission, ideally you'd of course need to get permission from the original creators of any product before using it. I'm not sure if you're likely to get a response from SE or Linkin Park if you email them about this, though.

I believe most people who create fan music videos just upload them to YouTube/GoogleVideo/etc. to be freely distributed without SE's permission-- I guess so long as you're not profiting off your video, it shouldn't matter.
