Has anyone heard of these? They're really good. Kind of Soft rock. They're most famous songs have been Bring me to life, My Immortal and Going Under. If you've heard them what do you think? And, if you haven't, you can listen to some of their songs and watch their videos here:

Evanescence

The band is actually relatively new. They only really became famous in 2002 with Bring me to life, which was on the Daredevil soundtrack. Then their album got famous too. Tell me what you think...

Yeah, Evanescence is very cool. Her music is kinda depressing, but she has such a soothing voice. Her songs are just plain sad..... like "my immortal" thats a really sad song.... :sad:

Yeah. I think Amy Lee's voice is really strong. And the guitars and drums are fantastic!!

The new album is coming out in October. And, considering the lead guitarist/co-song writer left, Amy Lee says that the songs on the new album are more true to her own heart.....(so excited, I can't wait!!) :hyper:

I was obsessed with this group back in 2003. I had to listen to their album at least once everyday, that's how good it was.

Even still I can still listen to and find every song great. Besides the singles, my favourite songs are Imaginary and Tourniquet (sp?)

I love the darkness in their lyrics and music, there's always a sense of despair. Stories of ghosts and monsters in their lyrics, I love it.

I'm very much looking forward to the new album but with Ben gone, I wonder if it'll have the same darkness to it.

People used to tell me "would you shut up about Evanvescense already", lol, I loved them :lmao: .
But now, i'm sort of bored of them. They need new songs.
And since Ben used to write the music, I don't know what will happen to them.

y'see, i didn't like Ben that much. There was just something about him that i just didn't like. *shrugs*

But, yeah. The new album is due to be released October 3rd.

I think it will have the darkness in it without Ben, but i don't think it'll be the same. It'll be more of Amy's style in it, which i think is good, because she rocks!!

i was obsessed with evanescence for two years. i dont listen to them much now, but i still love them, and i cant wait for their new album to come out!

God, I'm obsessed with them right now (as you might be able to tell by my sig). I love them and their music to bits. They are so down-to-earth too. Which, i think, makes me like them alot more.

And I also just noticed their lyrics are in your sig :)

I have their live DVD of them in Paris...the backstag footage is insane. It shows the entire band drunk out their minds, throwing furniture across the room. Weird.

I never liked them as a live band but they're pretty good on the DVD.

YAY!! Yeah. The DVD footage made me laugh. They are all so funny. When they played the practical joke on Terry. That cracked me up.

Oh, I know I'm a big Evanescence fan myself, first heard My Immortal and just had to hear more. I love lots of their music. Anyone heard their song Anywhere? I really like that one a lot, (perhaps because it reminds me of :cleris:) along with some of their lesser known songs like Even in Death, Broken, and stuff. I like their popular stuff too, but whatever, lol. Their new album's coming out in October?! :fangirl: Yessssss!! It's about time! Way excited for it! Amy Lee has an incredible voice and I'm sure the new songs will be just as awesome as the old.

I just recently found a duet that Amy Lee did with Big Dismal, actually. It's a really cool song, i listen to it loads, but Amy's only really in the chorus....Still a brilliant song, though. :D

For some reason, Even in Death always reminds me of Lenne and Shuyin from ff10-2.....

Ooh, really? I don't think I've heard that song yet! What's it called so I can find it and listen? I dunno if I can wait for October. . . I want their new album now!! Lol. I'm excited to see what they've come up with this time.

Evanescence is one of the first English-speaking bands I love! The others are just Chinese bands I heard on my parents' disks.

I got interested when I heard Bring me to Life. Now my favourites are Bring me to Life, Everybody's Fool and My Last Breath.

I especially love My Last Breath, since it's about a person dying in their lover's arms. :sad:

Woot!! Guess who got to go to an Evanescence concert last night?!?!?!?!!? It was so so friggen AWESOME!!!!! :woot: :fangirl: I was soooooooooooooo excited!!! And I can assure you all that it rocked!!! I was fairly close to the stage and loving every second of it. They did songs from both Fallen and their new CD the Open Door. Their new bass guitarist did phenominal as well!!! Ah, it was such a wonderful experiance!!!

Also, small request? I lost a bunch of Evanescence's older songs when my laptop crashed. <_< Does anyone have Exodus and Breathe No More? (not the live version though!) I'm missing others, but I can't remember them. :cry: Long live Evanescence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wub:

xD I LOVE EVANESCENCE! One of my favorite bands of all time. Evanescene's songs tend to pwn my AMVs. :fangirl:

The ones I've used are Bring Me To Life for a Vincrecia, Away From Me for a Clerith, Whisper for a Vincrecia, My Last Breath for a Clerith, Eternal for a Vincrecia/Clerith/Fack, and Angel of Mine for a Clerith...Though Angel of Mine is an iffy one...
And who knows about the ever-elusive Angel of Mine? I made a Clerith movie to it, and I heard it's by Amy Lee, but I've also heard it's not. Confirmations? Denials?

(Also, a LOT of other Evanescence songs are Clerith - such as My Immortal and Imaginary. :D)

Oooh, Evanesence. Great Band, I heard 50 Cent got mad at them for winning 'Best New Artist/s of the Year' at some award ceremony.

I really like their first CD (Fallen, right?). All their songs are great, but I really liked Everybody's Fool, Bring me to Life, My Immortal, Going Under, Hello and Imaginary. And I'm sure people here know Broken by Seether ft. Amy Lee, that's a great song too.

Although, ever since their song writer left and the 3 year delay on a new album, I don't really like the new album they have. Oh well, maybe I just have to grow into it.

*eyes gleam* I don't have Away From Me, Eternal, or Angel of Mine. Mebbe Lute-chan could load them up somewhere? I'm not sure if Amy Lee sings Angel of Mine. I don't think I've ever heard it, so I'd have to listen to give my opinion on whether its her or not. . .
