I was reading the latest edition of the Play magazine in Scotland ( I'd bought it for the FFXII review, it had a huge picture of Penelo on the front :fangirl:) when I came across this comment in the Kingdom Hearts II review that was a surprise I found in it " Mena Suvari plays Cloud's lost love Aerith"

Yeps, know watcha mean, HD... at the orthodontist, I was waiting for my turn to go, so I decided to take out a game magazine -- and this one I picked out talked about our beloved FFVII:AC! :woot: And there, I saw, a pic of Cloud and Tifa with the caption under it: "Cloud holding Tifa in arms in a touching moment." (something like that) :lol: ~> And, um, meh... PSH. 'Chyea right. :rolleyes:

But, this is soso cute, FB! Thanks for cheering my day... hehe, "lost love", ahh... :huggle: I guess, magazine people also share divergent views about the tangling LT. ^^;

Yep! Ever since AC's release, I haven't heard much from magazines calling Tifa as "Cloud's main squeeze" or anything of that sort. :whistle: Before, it was all "Oooh. Cloud and Tifa, Cloud and Tifa!". :P

Of course they'd refer to Aerith as Cloud's lost love cause that's what she is :P . I love these adorable CxA references popping up in game magazines recently though. :fangirl: Yay for Cleris!!!

Eek! That's adorable. ^_^ AC was very Cleris, IMO, so I think most people would be either very blind or very deep in denial to see that Cloud and Aerith definitely have got something going on.

" Cloud and Tifa share a tender moment" is ok. That's not anything conclusive or specific don't worry! *^_^* Tenderness can be shared betwen all sorts of relations including friends! Or familty or as good samaritons. Since it didn't say " Cloud and Tifa share a tender moment as lovers" or " Lovers Cloud and Tifa ..." people are free to assume what they want, Clotis can assume lovers but that doesn't me what it is!

But, depending on magazines, they all say different things.... i had a FF magazine before and it had Tifa's picture and it said "Cloud childhood sweetheart Tifa Lockheart..." I was really pissed because that is soo not true.... then under Aerith's pic, it said " FFVII's beloved martyr appears in what must be a poiganat dream sequence. At least we hope it is...." That just pissed me off even more! How dare they!

I think what goddess_in_pink07 is talking about here was in a magazine prior to AC's Japan release. It seems even EGM has become more Cleris now, but before (a while ago when no one really knew anything about AC), they were referring to Tifa as "Cloud's main squeeze". :P

I see. Well, still I wouldn't say that most of the magazines gave more CloudxTifa references, I would say that it was even.

Also, for what I've seen, Japanese mags have always had CloudxAerith references, and the only reference I've seen for CloudxTifa was:"More than friends, less than lovers".

Even though, I think that what the mags say proves nothing. Nomura and Co. are the ones with the last word. Wether they decide of ever sharing it.

finally these mags are starting to get the picture, of course Aerith is his lost love. So beautiful :) About the Tifa and Cloud being childhood sweethearts, well I wouldn't say they were sweethearts, it was more like Cloud had a crush on Tifa, Tifa ignored him and then she fell for him or her fantasy of him as a hero without getting to know the real him.

I don't mean to start a debate or anything, but I'm not a strong believer of Cloud having had a crush on Tifa. I think it's possible, but I think it's also possible he'd just wanted to fit in.

Besides, calling them "childhood sweethearts" is far off from the the truth. How could they be childhood sweethearts when they didn't even really know one another to begin with? They weren't even friends. Cloud was constantly left out, and they call that a friendship? o_O

The EGM issue I have annoyed the heck out of me because the writer of the article has a bias for the Cloti pairing, so this post about Cleris friendly magazines made me feel much better about magazine writers these days. Usually I can't help but notice the increasing number of Clotis even in the media. :no:
