Why do you guys love Zack so much?

I have to answer with:
Because he's like a breath of fresh air in the FF universe. He's not overly emotional like Cloud and Squall (no offence to Cloud and Squall lovers), but not too childish like Zidane and Tidus (no offence to their lovers as well). Sure, he has his times where he wants to be childish, but it's not too bad nor overbearing like some of the others. He's just... how do I say it? Equal, in his emotions. He didn't show too much fear (I thought he laughed in the face of fear), not too much childness. Everything about him was perfect to me. He was like a human instead of a robot that's programmed to be emo like Squall or Cloud (though they do change through out the games).

I completely agree with you, Damaged. SE has taken all the good qualities of their heroic characters and left out the bad ones when they made Zack. ^_^

I've always found Zack to be a great character. Even in FFVII when we didn't know much about him, I thought he was cool. CC's ending made me really respect him, after everything he went through, he truly was a hero and a great friend to Cloud. I found his fate so unfair. D:

I did see a lot of similarities between him and Tidus, but that's just fine. :lol:

I don't really want to go into my feelings for Crisis Core as a whole, but since it's here and there's not much I can do about it, I'll say that I'm glad they chose to have it center around Zack instead of another minor FFVII character.

Okay, back on topic. I see tons of similarities with Tidus as well, but Tidus to me, was too whiny. I don't know how to explain it in a way that even I can understand, so lets just say that I did.

The way Zack treated everyone was just... wow. I thought he was selfless. Just look at what he did for Cloud and Aerith. He like, paved the way to their relationship (that is teh true canon!!!).

I agree, I got the same impression of Zack. He was very selfless, and everything that goes with it. He's truly a great person--he stuck by and even gave his life for Cloud. Now that is a true friend. I would love to have a friend like him. D: And yeah, I can definitely see Zack as being something of a catalyst for the C/A relationship.

I would love to see someone as handsome as him :D

Anyways, I know for a fact that if I was in a similar situation that Zack was in, I would be peeing myself; but I would still fight to protect my honor and my friend (who just so happened to be in a comatose state nearby).

And not to mention, he looks good shirtless :D

Anyway, when Zack approached that huge group of soldiers near the end (anyone who has played CC knows what I mean), I literally thought to myself, "Oh, f*ck." And Zack took them all on, not scared one bit. I thought that was awesome.

He was willing to sacrifice it all to help his friend, even if it meant that he wouldn't see the ones he loved again. Facing that many people under normal circumstanses is hard enough on anyone, but he had all those guns and such pointed at him, and he took them on, not even afraid to die. Yup, he's a hero in my book ^_^
