A Flash of Pink
Pure Fluff

Cloud first saw Aerith in a dark and evil city where even the sky was black. He would have passed her right on by if he hadn't seen a flash of pink. Pink? Who wore pink in the slums? He had wondered when he turned around to face the girl, or at least he hoped it was a girl... It was. Or maybe it was an angel?

Her face seemed to emit a... glow of happiness, her eyes were brighter than any emerald, as emeralds can't dance in laughter as her eyes did. Her smile was what made her truly beautiful, as if life was a huge joke made to be laughed at. Her hair was a soft brown color, twisted into a ponytail and topped with a pink bow that would have looked childish on anyone but her. That's how Cloud would always remember her, even after she was gone.

She left him so suddenly, he almost expected to see a flash of pink and hear her almost musical voice yelling, "Surprise! Boy did I have you fooled..." He almost expected to hear her laugh at his worries and remind him that some people were worse off than he was.

Cloud had seen another flash of pink after his second AVALANCHE mission. Pink? Am I dead? He had wondered. But, it was the angelic flower girl in pink, bending over him tenderly and asking if he was ok. Cloud couldn't help feeling better. She had that affect on people. She was a flash of pink working to make everyone else's burden a little lighter even if it meant increasing her own.

Even after all these years, Cloud still turned whenever he saw a flash of pink, hoping it was her. Though it never was, he was still calmed. Pink was her color after all. Even if she was gone.

Pink, a miraculous color, wouldn't you say? It seems to bring out the best in people. Maybe, just maybe, if we could all be a flash of pink, the world would be a happier place. Wasn't that the message Aerith left behind? Give, give, give 'til you can't give any more and find your Promised Land. Messages were left to be followed, just as flashes of pink were made to calm. Aerith inspired and saved a person in need of the pink. The world needs more PINK.

A Sunset
This is really OoC and Fluffy. You've been warned.

Cosmo Canyon is a beautiful place, especially when the sun sets. But Cloud never noticed it until Aerith said, "Hey Cloud, wanna go on a walk with me?"

"What? Why?" he asked startled.

"Because it's pretty out there and besides, if I went on my own you'd get all: I can't believe you went by yourself! It's dangerous! Blah blah blah...." Aerith said her hands on her hips, her lips forming a small pout.

She's so cute when she does that... The thought squirmed unbidden in his mind, causing him to smirk. "Fine, but little three year olds who pout get their hands held..." he said capturing her small hand in his own.

Aerith blushed. "Cloud! Let go! I'm a big girl!" she said trying to pull her hand from his firm but gentle grip.

Cloud laughed, pushing the porcupine-like bangs from his eyes with the hand that didn't hold Aerith's hand. "No way! It's either this or I could let you go on your own and get eaten by a penguin..."

"Cloud!" said Aerith trying to stifle her giggles. "Let go of me! Unless of course you'd prefer for me to make you..."

"I'd like to see you try!" scoffed Cloud smirking.

"Can't say I didn't warn you..." remarked Aerith.

And with that said, she kissed him sweetly on the lips. It wasn't a huge, passionate kiss or anything. Just an innocent kiss on his warm, soft lips. Just enough to make his grip go slack... Aerith pulled her hand free and jumped out of his range and began to dance rather badly, singing "Can't Touch This". Cloud stared at her before saying, "That was pathetic!"

Aerith stopped abruptly. "What was?"

"Your... dancing!" he said.

"Oh, you're no fun!" said Aerith pouting.

She didn't notice the glint in his eyes as he took a step closer... "Cloud, look at the sunset!" said Aerith gazing at it's golden glory right behind the mountainous spikes that covered Cloud's head.

"I don't need to turn around to see something beautiful..."

"Oh, get out of town! That's the oldest and cheesiest line ever!" said Aerith laughing.

"Teach you to laugh at me!" said Cloud in mock anger as he closed the distance between them and started tickling Aerith unmercifully.

"CLOUD!" laughed Aerith, tears of laughter streaming down her face. "Mercy! Just stop!"

Cloud smirked. "Who's the coolest?"

"You are, Cloud!" said Aerith between fits of laughter as she tried to squirm away unsuccessfully.

"Who are you going to let hold your hand if you pout again?"

"You! Just please stop!" laughed Aerith.

Cloud released her, smirking. "Guess what?" asked Aerith smiling cheekily.

"What?"

"I had my fingers crossed!" said Aerith laughing.

"Why you-" said Cloud.

"Don't call me little!"

"But you are little compared to me..." said Cloud.

Aerith pouted crossing her arms. After a moment she said, "Hey, aren't you going to hold my hand?"

"Oh now who needs to get out of town?" asked Cloud flipping a long spiky bang from his eyes.

Aerith glared at him in mock anger as she started to stick her tongue out. She never got to, because that's when Cloud kissed her. It was deep, slow kiss that told of all the things they'd never been able to say. It was one of those perfect, magical kisses in the sunset, the kind where time seems to stop in the name of love.

Cait Sith, who was watching it all, remarked to Yuffie, who was also watching, "Poor Tifa..."

Ummm, I'm not sure why I wrote these... But thought maybe someone would like them sooo...yeah. Anyway criticism is very welcome.

Nice! I actually thought the first one made a good point: "The world needs more PINK." :D Of course, the second one had some really nice fluff in it! I would really like to see the other fic that you have; dark and angsty are just my type!

Both are so cute! ^_^ I found the first one's ending just so adorable, especially at the words, "The world needs more PINK." :lmao:

For the second one... it was just so fluffy and sappy! XD I love it to bits... though I also like a shy wittle Cloudie.
