ladystrife is right! i think Aeris already did confess her feelings first :P. But I think Cloud should have confessed his feelings first and should have just already told her how he felt about her. Especially during the time Cloud and Aeris were in the Sleeping Forest, right before Aeris left to go to the City of the Ancients (Forgotten Capital) :D.

I would say Aerith, she did already confess her feelings and Cloud isn't exactly the type of guy to confess his feelings like that.

Given the opportunity, I think Cloud would've confessed first. It's true that Cloud isn't as outgoing as Aeris, but you don't need to be, to confess how you feel for someone. I picture Cloud confessing in a very subtle, but sweet way. That's more of his style, I think. I always had this feeling that Aeris knew Cloud, at least, cared for her in a special way and would have waited for him to confess.

I see Cloud, once he gained enough courage and confidence, going up to Aeris and takes ahold of her hands. Then he tries to work his nerves and try to form words that sound like a subtle confession, but get so flustered, he ends up saying nothing at all. Instead, he just looks at her with an expression mixed with shy embarressment and seriousness. That sounded confusing, but believe me, I've made this expression before. :blush: Anyways, Aeris, I think, would have instantly picked up on what Cloud was trying to do and simply smiled at him and maybe even squeaze his hands in a gently sorta way, as if she were confessing back at him.

And if you think about it, Cloud kinda did confess first. It wasn't a HUGE confession. Not like those hollywood glam confession of course, but a small indictation that he cared for her. Remember in the bonfire in Cosmo Canyon?

Cloud: But I... we're here for[with?] you?

Again, it wasn't huge, but subtle slip of the tongue. :whistle: Yup, that's more of Cloud's type of confession.

Of course, I'm an old fashion-type-of-romantic. I like the idea of the guy confessing first, followed by the girl. ;)

There's a high possibility that Cloud wont say anything (knowing how the game goes). not to be negative or anything :whistle:. But if Cloud did actually say that to Aeris......well Reibenichou lets just hope that the Clotis can be put to rest with all their constant bickering and harrassment against us :sweat:.

But there could be a bad side to that. If Cloud was to ever bring up any hint of feelings for Aeris, not trying to say that he shouldn't :whistle:, dont you think the Cloti's would go rabid and tyrant against us? :/ I mean, dont you seeing how some Clotis think they saw Cloud and Tifa together "happily" in AC and DoC, are getting some Cleris fans fustrated and disappointed with all these rumors that aren't even true? Well, Cloud bringing up feelings for Aeris, or supposedly, may, and probably will the Clotis worked up the same way.

Im just saying that if it were to happen, no one should go blowing it in any of their faces and trying to get back at them for all the dirty things the rabid Cloti fans did to us. :sweat: :D

I didn't really mean to imply that Cloud had already confessed that he loved her. He did, however, confess in his small way that he cared for her. It's not a huge, 'I love you', confession, but a small, sort of accidental confession that he cared for her and that he is there for her.

And, I wouldn't say that we, cleris, have won anything, since I don't consider the LTD some sort of competition. :sweat:

I agree with RE for this-- I think Cloud would confess first. It won't be a big confession, but something small would be enough for Aerith.

Reason is that I think she wouldn't want to throw a confession all over Cloud without knowing, for sure, that he was ready for it. And I'm not calling Cloud inept or anything like that, but he does have quite a lot of past and self issues to deal with. A romance is a big thing, and not something he can just take on, on top of trying to live a normal life, without being prepared for it.

So I think Aerith would wait for Cloud to steady himself first. Perhaps she would make the first move when she felt he was ready, but what's a better way to know he was ready than for him to confess first?

And BLAH, who knows, maybe I'm a hopeless romantic too. :hide:

I think Aeris definately. She's just more the type to do things like that. Clouds a little shy. Aeris would definately confess to her little honey. :D She's just very open, and isnt afraid to tell someone how she feels. :cleris:

Although I think it would probably be Aerith who would say "I love you" first because it coincides more with her personality, I like to think it'd be Cloud. I guess I'm into that old-fashioned kind of romance. As far as I'm concerned, the way that Cloud behaved towards Aerith in the game and AC might as well have been a confession of love on his part. Aerith made it pretty clear that she was interested, but I'm not too sure that we could see she loved him until after her death.

I still think Cloud will need time to approach Aerith on his confessions. Beneath that tough exterior, he's probably really shy. And Aerith, she's not afraid to confess. But sometimes it'll be in a way Cloud cant comprehend it.

I beleive the point is somewhat moot.

Aerith has already done much, much, more then simply confessing how she feels to Cloud, to the point confessing in a classical sense would be almost redundant. Because of the nature of what Aerith did, Cloud...doesn't have to say it in words anymore. As long as he feels it deep in his heart, in his spirit...she'll know.

I would think since Aerith is now a spirit and connected closely to Cloud's soul she would probably already know. If they include this into advent children I think it would go like this (at least in my mind anyway):

Cloud opened his eyes to see that he was in the flower field. He looked around trying to figure where he was, then; he felt her back against his.
"So, you've come back. I'm happy that your here Cloud." Aerith's sweet voice ringed in his ears. He needed to tell her. Should I…? Oh, come on Cloud! You need to tell her…he thought to himself.
“Aerith, I-” Cloud was stopped when he felt Aerith’s hand go into his arm.
“I already know Cloud. You don’t need to hide any longer.” Aerith said almost into a whisper.
“If only, I could convince myself…” Cloud said bitterly at himself while, trying not to get distracted by her feather light touch. He turned around and saw Aerith, smiling as she always did her hand into his laced.
“Maybe, I could convince you Cloud.” Aerith looked up at him, had both hands onto his cheeks and kissed him.
“I love you, Cloud,” Aerith said after a long pause.
“I...love you too Aerith.” He replied. Cloud was now into a deep red blush, which she was giggling at. Then, he started laughing as well.

That's an interesting question: Who would confess first.
Although it would be most likely Aerith to be the one to confess first (based from observation that she's the more outgoing one), maybe at some instance, it could be Cloud who could confess first. XD Heheh... like maybe if he's drunk or if he gets enough encouragement from others... or if he just feels like bursting with emotions. :P

There's a good example of how Aerith would be the one to confess first. I still thik she has the courage to speak up before...but in a way it would take Cloud to understand for awhile...Like this quote "I want to meet you...."

I could never see Cloud admitting first. Both me and him and leo's (best star sign sorry guys) and although we can be extremly confident we are so shy when it comes to expressing our feelings. I mean it's weird I can get so hyper and do the most random things but when it comes to the whole feelings thing it's so uncomfortable :blush: . I mean yeah at some point he might tell her or maybe not and let his actions show how he feels. He basically did that in the game right? (I know I'm such a loser I never played the game but don't worry I jusy bouth a PS1 and the game yesterday off ebay :D !!) My best friend is an Aquarius like Aerith and they are such romantics and definately more open.

I guess if they were to confess, it wouldn't be done in words. It would just be the knowledge of knowing that you care for one person so much you would die for them. I cannot imagine them actually saying "I love you," but just drawing together naturally and possibly getting more physical without actually admitting undying love, because I think it would be already known. To me thats more romantic anywhoo. ^^

I mean everybody can tell that in the date scene she was confessing him her feelings and Cloud also did the same at Cosmo Canyon....
We know that Cloud sees Aeris first than Tifa the proof it's on the final of the Ac movie when he just sees Tifa only once and because he also was seeing his friends but then instead of looking at Tifa again when he sees Aeris he stares at her, proving us that he Aeris is more important than the others^-^

Anyway, if there was a confession scene sometime then I'd like that Cloud tells her his feelings, that'd be so sweet. Like first when she appears in front of him he would and hold her cos of the time they haven't seen each other then um..perhaps they can go out together somewhere and they could start talking and then cloud would touch Aerith's hand in an unconcious way and then he'd blush and then Aerith would put her head on his shoulder and he would blush more and would get nervous and then he'd say that he loves her in a direct way or in an indirect way^-^ that's what I'd like seeing

There was never a doubt in my mind that Aeris was the one in Cloud's heart. You can tell just by the way he looks and talks about her how much he loves her. As for who would confess first well I'd say Cloud because Aerith already confessed her feelings for him a number of times. :D

I have to say, although Aeris did kind of confess her feelings to Cloud already- guys like him are usually very cutely sort of thick. X3 Eventhough she drops a lot of hints, as does Tifa- Cloud never seems to think to much about it. This isn't to say he doesn't care back but that maybe he's just a bit too simple to realise- or perhaps to shy to admit either of them do?

In any case, although I do think Aeris would probably be the first to entirely admit "I like you" so that he was 100% sure, it would be very, very cute if Cloud did.

I can imagine, as said previously that he'd do it in a very subtle way.
Maybe in a sort of quiet moment with her, perhaps after something big happens. They get into some conversation, then Aeris sort of encourages him to talk about relationships by asking about Tifa, and then he slowly confesses he likes Aeris, in a way where he'd be all "Umm.. well, yeah." sort of way. SO CUTE~ :heart:

It makes me think of the times Aeris would coax relationship answers out of him by asking if Tifa was a girl friend and he could say "No way!" Which made Aeris happy. :cleris:

Cuz I do not think Aerith realizes what she means to Cloud even she always is more active. We already know that she feels surprised when she watches Cloud cry in the death scene through Lifestream.
And therefore I think Aerith's first intention is to tease his boyish (but OMG still cute!! ) behavior. She would be so shock by Cloud's embrace that she loses the ability to keep that joke :lol:
And Cloud, still on the blind side, assuming that Aerith is taking off, would awkwardly says how he wants her to stay......But again, Cloud may only squeeze out one word: "Stay..." Very simple but that would be the limit for Cloud

Then, in his arms, it would be Aerith's turn to be awkwardly shy :lol:
She'll prabably try to maintain her calm by giggling:
"I'm not saying to leave for a long time. why u behave so nervous?"
And Cloud, after spending all energy in saying that word, could only desperately searching for next step.... (I would laugh loud to imagine his look~~must be cute! )
After Cloud murmuring repeatedly "But..but I.." and releasing her a little from the hug, Aerith would start to feel sorry for making him anxious. Aerith would now want to comfort him.
She may put his one hand on her cheek and says "from now on, I won't go anywhere, not without U" with a breath-taking smile (Uh....OK for me it's breath-taking...0////0 )

OF COURSE Cloud would then realize her feelings but still in dubious expectation, staring AFFECTIONATELY at her and questioning: "Do you mean it?"
Being stared by such pretty eyes, Aerith would shy away (I know that I definately will ) she may lowers her head and then whispers : "Cuz I love you, Cloud"
