I have to say four. It was really cool, I guess. XD. Okay, Okay in depth! Well, there was no job system like in FF5 or...that other one that had the jobs. XD. I hated the job system, personally. But FF4 being on of the hardest FFs would win a point. Plus, The storyline was...cool (to me, at least). With Cecil being the Dark Knight blahh blahh...and Rydia getting older. That was cool. Although this one still followed the old "We have to save the world and get all the crystals before it's too late!" concept, I liked the fact that FF4 had those 4 element dudes and tons of really creative bosses.

Oh, and when Tellah calls Edward "You spoony bard!"...+10 points. :lmao:

You forgot all the other FF's! You only included the mainstream ones! Personally, I liked Mystic Quest, Crystal Chronicles and Tactics!

VI. Darn, I remember playing that game like crazy... ^^;

Real_Emotion - March 12, 2006 05:55 PM (GMT)
From the ones I played, FFX would have to be my favorite. I loved the story, the characters, the twists, and just almost everything. The graphics are what definately got to me, though. I still can't get Yuna's Kilika dance and the spring scene out of my mind.

goddess_in_pink07 - March 12, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
My very first Final Fantasy was 10! It was the first one i ever played, and i give all the credit to my dear sister! She started playing Final Fantasy, and soon a later i did!

She thought its a good start for a beginner Final Fantasy, cause the RPG system waited for you to attack, and gave you time to sit down and think about what move you would make. :D

So Final Fantast 10 all da way! :fangirl:

FinalfantasyForeverx3 - March 12, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
Ff10 all around fantastic game, intruging storyline, fantastic music and FANTASTIC GAMEPLAY woot.

Lesca - March 12, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
FFX for me and probably always will be my favourite. It's the game that really turned me into the Final Fantasy nutter I am today. I wanted to buy it when it first came out but I couldnt afford it, so I got it when it came out cheaper, was worth the buy! The story, characters...I just really love playing it :)

Schala - March 13, 2006 12:08 AM (GMT)
I said FF9! Seriously, that's one awesome game. The only thing that really brought it down was the poor battle system. I mean, what was with the whole Trance thing? Storywise, the characters were so lovable, even Kuja! I still think that Zidane is one of favorite FF guys! Anyway, I loved exploring the cities and talking to moogles (so cute!). The plot was like a fairy tale and yet so captivating, especially the part in Terra. FF9 is definitely a close second to FF7!

FF10 was good too, but I don't know... Tidus never really won me over, neither did Yuna. Unfortunately, FFX-2 kind of spoiled everything for me though. Why oh why did Yuna have to become so different?

Lynn - March 13, 2006 09:05 AM (GMT)
ZOMG ladystrife, you didn't put in FFVII! :lmao: Smart move, though, I guess, considering the forum we're in.

I voted FFIX too. For all the reasons Schala listed:

The moogles' role was absolutely terrific, and I did so love the "traditional" setting of the world. After two futuristic worlds in the previous FFVII and FFVIII, going back to swords and magic in the most traditional sense completely enamoured me. I guess the world is what I loved most of FFIX, followed by the characters.

And who can resist the absolute cuteness that is VIVI?

Same here. I never really caught up in FFX, let alone X-2. The Tuna relationship didn't enthrall me that much, and neither did I really enjoy the world of Spira (which I wholly and completely blame the lack of an explorable world map for). Only a select few characters really interested me (Lulu and Auron).

But I do admit, some of the FMV scenes were utterly breathtaking. Yuna at Kilika and the Suteki Da Ne scene were gorgeous.

Luna-Nayru - March 19, 2006 03:58 AM (GMT)
I picked FFIX. I absolutely adored the fun medieval feel it had, and the system of leveling up your characters, in my opinion, was the best of them all. Vivi is my all-time favorite Final Fantasy character, Zidane and Garnet won me over completely, Eiko's Zidane fangirlism was hilarious, and Quina is my God/Goddess. Seriously, this game even wins against FFVII for me. Oldskool + Newskool = Kickass. :D

yin-chan - March 19, 2006 01:16 PM (GMT)
*votes for FF8*

 I know, I know - the story is muchos lacking when compared to FF7, but I think what really captivated me the most are the characters. Somehow Squall and gang were such a breath of fresh air for me. Plus, I absolutely fell in love with Rinoa right from the start, so that just made the game all the more appealing to me. I'm a real sucker for love stories too, so after Aerith's tragic death in FF7, I was delighted to have a FF love story that didn't end in tragedy! Lots of people think the Squinoa-ness is waayy too corny and sappy - but that's just the way I like it!

Actually, I don't think the story was that bad...it just focused a lot more on the 'love' aspect, which is just what I like. ^_^

FFX didn't connect with me that much. Tidus and Yuna lacked character appeal to me, aesthetically pleasing though they may be. They just seemed so..... dull. And until today, I still don't fully understand the whole story. No, I still don't understand why Tidus had to go, and that whole dream of the fayth thing? :dizzy: *doesn't understand*

ladystrife - March 30, 2006 10:53 AM (GMT)
yeah yeah i no u all are desparate to vote for ff7 obv sorry about that every1

*back on topic*

Kuki Prower - March 30, 2006 11:08 AM (GMT)
I voted for FFV. I like the fact that the main cast is only five characters which gives a lot of character development to be done. Also the plot is wonderful and well prepared with lots of twists. Plus there's three world maps to explore and of course the wonderful job system :) I love it to death.

Hades' Daughter - March 30, 2006 03:46 PM (GMT)
*HD picked FFVI*

I'm old-school :P
FFVI has always been my favorite game. I just had to buy Anthology for the PS when it came out. It contains a memorable cast of characters, an excellent *non-confusing* plot-line, and some of the best music E-V-E-R.

I was so young the first time I played it, and I didn't realize at the time that Cid could be saved.
"HD, you fool! You fed poor Cid poisonous fish...and you were wondering why he died?! "

:lmao:

It's embarassing to admit, but I also cried more than once while playing it. Such an emotional game *sniffles*

LadyNelZelpher - March 30, 2006 06:04 PM (GMT)
I loved FFX.
The strory I thought was very beautiful and well written, and the battle sistem was amazing as well!
FFVII is my second fav, but Cloud and Aerith are the best FF couple ever! :cleris:
