Who do you think loves more, Cloud or Aeris? Do you think that Cloud loves Aeris more, or do you think that Aeris loves Cloud more? I know this is kinda random, but I am just curious as to what you guys think. I personally think that Aeris loves Cloud more because she had her eye on him since the start, but you don't know if Cloud did because he didn't really express his feelings as much as Aeris. I think he seemed to love her more than he did after she died. :sad: Well, anyway, that's just my opinion. :D

Hmmm... it's kind of hard to say. I know that Aerith admitted her feelings for him in MOTP but Cloud never came out and said how he felt about Aerith. But he isn't that type of person to express his feelings like that either. It's really hard to tell who loves who more.

I'd say Cloud, just because moping around for a dead love for two years and abandoning all other human interactions just to grieve - is pretty extreme. Not to mention he still doesn't give up after said two years has passed and instead indulges himself with the pleasantries of the flowerfield kind. :lol: I would kill to have someone that devoted to me.

Aerith too - I mean - just read MoTP. You gotta love all the love she has.

AJshakjsakjs why are we even debating this. It doesn't matter who loves who more - it's a mutual love and the both are them are quite willing to risk life and limb for each other, even beyond death - and that's all that matters. ^_^

I disagree. I think it's possible to love someone deeply without having to say it aloud, at least not all the time. I grew up in a family where we don't say the words "I love you" often, if at all, but we still know that we love each other. It's a silent understanding, if you will.

I can never imagine Cloud actually uttering the words or being all that vocal about his love-- to Aerith or to anyone. I can't even see him buying back presents or flowers (which is why the idea of Cloud "surprising" Tifa and kids with a party doesn't sit well with me at all).

The "romantic expression" I can see for Cloud would be in the simple things-- things like covering Aerith with a cloak or an umbrella while they're walking in the rain. Working extra hard at the Battle Square/Gold Saucer to win that plushie she had squealed over earlier. Just walking over to sit by her during the group's nightly campfire while they were travelling.

He's an awkward character who cannot afford to recite romantic prose, or plan a romantic escapade, or beguile women with fluid pick-up lines. All he can do is show his feelings through simple, everyday means.

Well, I always had the impression that Cloud loved Aeris more simply because he still keeps her memory dear to him even though she's dead. Aeris does love him, but I still think that Cloud cares more.

I always thought that they loved each other the same! While Aerith is more outright with her feelings, Cloud shows them in a more secretive way. But that's just their characters. I think MOTP definitely confirmed the fact that Aerith loves Cloud a hell of a lot, and the fact that Cloud still carries the pain of her death through AC and still travels to the flowerfield in the end to find her shows that he loves her just the same ^_^ . Cloud and Aerith clearly love each other, and I don't think there's any real way of determining who loves who more because their personalities are so different from each other and they therefore express their love in different ways :cleris: .

So totally Aeris loved Cloud more! Aeris is more the type to express her feelings with her words, while Cloud does with action! But all together, definately Aeris was more in love! :D :D

I like Aerith loves Cloud more, but I'm a bit neutral on who loves who more. But I will say that Aerith loves to flirt with random strangers. Hott strangers, but random ones. lol.

Oh, I didn't mean to say that Aeris didn't love Cloud. It's just that she didn't seem like the kind to mope around or fall apart if Cloud had been the one to die. Plus, she always came across like she was flirting casually. Of course, they both love each other! It's just that even in real life, though the relationship works, sometimes the love is unequal.

The only guy I recall her "flirting" with was Cloud, but then again, there's nothing wrong letting someone know that you're attracted to him/her.

that's what I was wondering. I haven't seen her flirt with anyone but Cloud, but maybe that's what the person meant that Cloud was a stranger to Aerith before she really got to know him....... I guess.........?

well, i think cloud loved aeris more than she did. Aeris, in the game, showed cloud her feelings towards him but he never retourned, not with words. But, when she died, i think he realiced how much he loved her...that is why fe felt gilty too, not only fom leting her die but because he never showed her his feelings...and aeris, well, she would have renounced to cloud if she knew that he loves tifa ( for example). Her love was strong enough to do that. ( sorry for my bad english!!)) :unsure:

I would say they both love each other equally, but i think Cloud love Aeris more. Basically becuase of the those times he would reminisce over her for what she had done for the planet. Its a shame though Cloud couldn't understand Aeris' message "I want to meet you" until it was too late :cry:.

I think Cloud loved Aerith more, since he got away from everyone after her death.. almost as if he didn't want to go on living.
Tifa says so to him, something like "you are thinking that it's ok if you die".

I think that they loved each other equally, even if Cloud couldn't express it, he could still FEEL it. I can feel it in the end of FFVII and in the end of AC.

That's okay. ^_^ I was wondering if you meant she loved him for Zack, but I'm glad you don't. Yes, Aerith fell in love with Cloud and was probably the one that wanted to find the 'real Cloud' the most. If anything, I would think she was the first to notice that he 'wasn't himself'.
