ive wondered this evr since I read cloud vs tidus.
so who do you think would win.

On pure abilites, Cloud has the edge, but Auron is more experienced and a better technical fighter. He's going to know better fake outs, sneak attacks, and technical moves.

There's two wild cards that can really change the outcome of the match though.
Auron has trouble keeping his cool and Cloud has a hard time staying down. It's be an intresting match to watch.

What is with all the "Cloud vs *INSERT NAME HERE*" threads? Seriously...

I think the most useful thread for all this would be something like, "Who do you think could beat Cloud in a fight?". It would avoid the mess of these threads all over the place.

Anyway, Cloud would win. Just because.

I'd like to see a Cloud vs a box of twinkies or something. D: Can skinny pale blonde boy resist...

hey well its not how big the swords its how you use them and if overdrives are available auron would win because his are more power ful

to me it wood be in a way because if yoo saw his sword yoo wood get scared and loose the advantage and also because Cloud is an ex soldier he kicks butt soo to me Cloud all the way :cloud: :hyper: :bikey: :punk:

Sorry, I would have to side with Auron here. ^^ Any guy using his giant sword + jug of alcohol = instant win for me.

I would have to say Cloud on this one.

If you pay attention you'd have to say it's Cloud's win.

See Cloud's stance when he holds his sword. He holds it up with his own strength at all times and attacks with a swing and brings it back to his stance.

Auron shoulders his sword and attacks by letting the sword drop down onto the enemy and then he shoulder's it again. He does this stance in an FMV sequence as well.

Sorry, Cloud, I love you and all but I have to go with Auron on this one. Why? Because he's a legendary guardian for crap's sake, dude's been around. :P

I've thought about it, and I have to say Cloud.

Someone has already noted, but compare how they handle thier weapons, Cloud massive blade isn't a problem for him, he swings it around easily.
Auron on the other hand seems to actully be affected by the weight, if i was him i would use a lighter sword.

So Cloud has the speed advantage, and is better able to use his power, while Auron will have more difficulty in attacking.
Experiance is something Auron has more of, but cloud ain't no rookie, so it won't be a major advantage.

you know what how bout this Auron,Tidus,and Kimari vs Cloud, Barrett, and Aeris.

OK now this is what would probably happen if Auron's party and Cloud's party fought

tidus is a football playing wuss, and has been pointed out could be the past life of cloud as spira and gaia have been linked. so hes not even a question. anyway.

auron vs cloud. Well, auron has good technique, good tech skill, and decent usage of magic. Hes a bit old and has a little trouble with his buster sword, and while very skilled in the arts, hes still mere human. Though a dead human mind you. Cloud, has operated on and injected with raw mako and jenova cells, delivering him super human strength and creating a living weapon, to the point of being able to flicker around a buster sword as if it weighed nothing. While possibly not so trained in the arts as Auron might have been, its seen he has some innate skill as he's able to skewer sephiroth who was, and is a SOLDIER. Not only this, but his tsurugi, which yes, would weigh much more then his original buster, and is just, "insane" he can wield the thing when its fully pieced together, if it even got down to the point, i think his omnislash5.0 would probably be enough to finish off auron. Cloud, just has too many serious moves to have Auron even be considered a threat, though i do respect aurons skill, style, and selection of weaponry. Anyone who spits sake on a blade and lights it on fire, and keeps his arm in a sling though its not even injured just to "rest" it for a serious swing, is ok in my book.

Now, who is competition to Cloud? its been beat to death, but squall. Squall has a gunblade, a quasi buster weapon that has a flaming charge effect everytime the trigger is pulled, if he gets one hit, its going to do some serious damage. He also has lionheart which was a 100,000 hp multi slash attack, similar to the original omni slash, so it would be cool to see them go blade to blade in succession with one another. Squall also has his KHI lionheart that turns his blade into a giant buster lightsaber. ill. Hes not as fast as cloud, and doest seem as agile, isnt injected with mako to become a killing machine, hes just a kid with some gunblade skill. Though their attitudes do seem rather similiar, so before KH i still had to wonder if they were connected in some way, thats just my theory though. Give Cloud a gunblade, then we will see a fight.

Sephiroth is still the strongest, and still the most insane. Cloud just has the ability to best him every now and then from a surge of emotion and will to stop him and get his revenge. He'd still own anyone else. You heard it from Cloud himself.
