Title: Screencaps

daydreamer198 - February 25, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
I need some pictures from a dvd movie.
I have no idea how to get them out, printscreen on the computer doesn't work.
:( I need help. How do you take some screencaps from a dvd movie on the computer?

If you have PowerDVD, there's a little camera icon that you can click to capture screencaps. The pictures will be saved, most likely, in a new folder created automatically in My Documents.

You might have to fiddle around with the settings first before being able to capture screenshots, though. Poke around a bit and keep on trying.

ok does anyone know how to do this or where I can get a tutorial on how to do this, for some reason I'm having a hard time getting the screen shots. The prnt Scrn will print the pic but when I open it up and then once I close the dvd the pic turns into a blank screen that's one prob I have and the other if the pic actually doesn't turn into a blank screen when I try to print more pics they just replace the last pic that I saved. If anyone knows where I can get a pic of the scene in I my me strawberry eggs where fujio's hair comes lose after she confesses her feelings for fukea that would save me all this aggrevation. Anyway if anyone knows please help.

What program do you use to take screencaps, cloud_and_aerith? If you're using Windows Media Player, go to Tools ---> Options ----> Performance ----> Video Acceleration and click on Advanced.

Then, make sure the overlays option is turned off.

And you should be able to take screenshots.

In VLC Player there is a special button for screencaps. Go to Video --> Snapshot. Or right click and choose Snapshot. You can pause the video at the screen you want to take.

To edit where the screenshot will be saved, go to Settings ---> Preferences ---> Video and under the Snapshot option, look at Video snapshot directory and set the folder you want your images to be saved to.

Hope that helps! :)

Oh....err...I'm not sure then. Try http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ or http://www.download.com/VLC-Media-Player/3...4-10210434.html

Hope it works for you. ^_^
