What are the most "ot there" cloti reasons you've ever heard? Now, this isn't meant to bash all Clotis. Some Clotis don't make up stuff saying Cloud loves her, but they just like the pairing and don't try to make up evidence. There's nothing wrong with that. That's like liking a pairing that doesn't happen, like a crossover pairing and more like a "what if..." thing and admitting that they won't be together but they just think it's cute. That's one thing and there's nothing wrong with that if they don't try to make up reasons and just say they like the pairing, but don't say that it's the offical pairing. However, there are some that have the most craziest reasons. This top is not for all cloti reasons, it's only for listing the craziest reasons you've found. There are many topics about reasons and stuff, but this is for only the craziest Cloti reasons you've found. Not just regular Cloti ones, the most oddest Cloti claims. Only list a few and tell your reactions.

I have supported Cloud x Aeris for many years. I once supported cloti about six years ago for a very short time before Back during the short time, (which was basically only during the time I was in Midgar) I haven't supported cloti in about six years and supported Cleris right after that short phase. (Started out Cleris, became Cloti because I thought it would be that way and Aeris was my favorite and I didn't want to be sad during her death so I tried to convince myself to be Cloti, which didn't work, I was very sad during her death and went back to Cleris shortly after, this was about six years ago). Anyway, the only one of those reasons I believed was the "childhood sweethearts" part, which I used in a discussion back six years ago, even when I supported Cloud x Aeris shortly after I used Cloti reasons on some boards just to state an old opinion, and when I got to the lifestream scene back then, I was basically like "Oh my gosh!" and I realized that all those things I wrote were inaccurate and the posts from the pasts I made about them about the childhood things were completely inaccurate. Six years ago I remember making comments on some boards before getting through the game, big mistake. I've played and finished all the Final Fantasy games (Well, all the ones in the main series that were out) and ever since six years ago I've remembered not to try to make a comment until I've beaten them. I supported Cloud x Aeris even when I was making those comments and after the lifestream scene, I remember thinking how the whole childhood comments I made were so invalid. Lucky that that was one of the only one of these comments I had used. Ahh! Give the top five out-of-there reasons you've seen. The reasons will be disputed with a response.


The number one

Zell is their grandchild! It says it in his room and in a picture! And Zell uses dolphin blow and Meteor Strike! Oh my gosh! He inherited those moves and the picture on the wall says their related! His hairstyle too, too! Zell is just like him!

Bum bum bum! What is with all these fics where Zell discovers his grandpa Cloud and they have a tearful reunion? If it was true then they'd have some kind of hints, but it isn't. Also, for those who say that Zell is "just like" Cloud, I don't even think you need a comment for it. Cloud and Zell couldn't be any more different personality wise if it were possible. They are as different as they can be. Also Zell's hair and Cloud's hair aren't in the same style and the moves weren't taught to him by his grandparents, because he lived in the orphanage, so he wasn't raised like that. There were no hints at all.

She wanted him since she was a child and never stopped wanting him.

Sure.

Once you see the lifestream scene, you learn that this isn't true. No matter if your Cloti or Cleris, you know from the lifestream that Tifa didn't want Cloud since childhood. Tifa didn't like Cloud during childhood. Tifa had her own clique and the popular kids liked Tifa. Tifa didn't care about Cloud because he wasn't in the in crowd and when Cloud started picking fights, Tifa noticed Cloud and thought he was strange. She showed she didn't care about him during the well scene, until he mentioned that he might be famous. She didn't want him at all during her childhood, she even seemed confused as to why he would invite her to the well.

They got it on during the highwind scene. Tifa said that they were watching and she got embarassed!

That's why they are wearing clothes when they wake up. Anyway, if the members of the party were watching them having sex, I think they would say a little more then that they were watching. Tifa would have gotten a lot more embarassed and Cloud would have freaked out. Cloud didn't make any comments like that to her after the scene. She said that they were watching (listening in the Japanese version.) She got embarassed because they were listening in on their personal conversation and saw them. If you were having what you thought was a private conversation with someone, you would also get embarassed or upset that people overheard things you said and start thinking back to them. If they were having sex then she wouldn't just say that and the party members wouldn't react that casually. If Barrett found that out, he would certaintly give Cloud a speech about it, knowing how Barrett is.

Her theme is two people singing!

Alright, I don't think that too many people actually believe that, but that theme thing is way out there and some people believe that theory. Thinking Tifa's theme is composed of a high voice and a low voice sending messages. That doesn't even need an explaination or rebuttal.

The final one

In the end when he caught her from the cliff, he was only for her and he chose her because the hand became a glove and he chose life over death.

In that scene, Cloud is thinking about Aeris. He has a vision of Aeris going toward him and he looks happy. He sees her hand become Tifa's and he looks dissapointed. When he catches Tifa he says that he can meet her there, meaning Aeris. He was thinking about Aeris and said he was thinking about Aeris. He also said he could meet her there, not they. He was thinking about Aeris during that scene and didn't choose Tifa's hand. If he did choose Tifa, he wouldn't be saying he could meet her there. This can also be compared to the scene where Aeris mentions Zack, but says that they are different. Aeris gets over Zack in that scene and puts Zack in the past. She likes Cloud now and says that things are different and tells Cloud that she wants to meet him. Aeris chooses Cloud over Zack in that scene and doesn't mention Zack. In the scene with Cloud, he chooses Aeris and says that he wants to meet her. If he chose Tifa and put his feelings to rest, he would talk to her and say that he wants to get to know her better. Cloud didn't say that, he said he wanted to meet Aeris and was talking about Aeris. This shows that both Aeris and Cloud like each other. Aeris let go of Zack and Aeris chose Cloud, because she talks to Cloud after that. Cloud held onto Aeris and his feelings were still there, he doesn't talk to Tifa like that and thinks of Aeris in that scene.

Tough, tough question! There are just so many out there reasons that CloTi's come up with out of desperation (they have a friggin petition!). You really named the one I hate the most, that they had sex under the Highwind. That one really gets to me because it's just so far-fetched and totally out of character for both Tifa and Cloud. Even if it were true, Cloud doesn't show any real extra affection for Tifa after the Highwind Affair. If they had sex, I imagine that it was because they loved each other, otherwise Cloud wouldn't have done it. But at the same time, why would he continue to treat her like all the others if they confessed their love for each other that night? He was certainly VERY protective of Aeris throughout the entire game.

This isn't evidence that CloTi's provide for CloudxTifa, but rather just a list of things they say that I can't stand:

1) Amano's artwork holds no weight in the LTD at all.

This is just completely ridiculous, I don't even want to go into it.

2) Tifa didn't "force" the promise on Cloud at all; that's such an old argument.

*Sighs* Simply ignorant :no: . If you pay attention to the dialouge, yes, in fact, she DID force the promise on him. No, she didn't point a gun at his head, but all he can say is "what?" until she finally nags him into it. It's obviously true because he later doesn't remember the promise at all.

3) *AC SPOILERS AHEAD* Aeris walking into the light at the end of AC means that she's letting Cloud and Tifa live their lives together, providing him with closure.

The bonus ending contradicts this completely. We see Cloud riding away to a field of yellow flowers. We see Aeris standing in that same field. In the last thirty seconds of the movie, what do we see? The flowers from that same field and pictures of the field strewn across Cloud's work desk. He clearly went to the field to find her. There wasn't closure at all. He still loves her.

4) In AC, when Tifa pounds her fist on the bed, she's wearing a ring on her ring finer. She and Cloud MUST be engaged!

Just plain stupid. First of all, it's on the wrong hand. Second of all, if he loved her enough to get engaged to her, he wouldn't hide his feelings from her to the extent that he does. Third of all, Barret and Denzel wear rings.

5) In the last FMV of FFVII, Cloud reaching for Aeris and finding it's Tifa is Aeris's way of bringing him back to reality, showing him that his future lies with Tifa.

Even if you can grasp this totally out there idea, AC disproves it. Nomura stated that the hand reaching scene in AC when Cloud is fighting Bahamut is a homage to the original hand reaching scene between him and Aeris in FFVII. Since this is true, then the intended symbolism, point, w/e of that scene was NOT to say that Aeris is showing Cloud that his reality lies with Tifa. The point of the scene is to demonstrate that Aeris empowers Cloud, emotionally and physically.

That's all I can think of for now, but I'll post later if I come up with more!

And I'm sure EVERYONE has heard the Cloti theory that Denzel is Cloud AND Tifa's child. Well first of all that is impossible because Denzel is like what 8? and Tifa and Cloud are both in their early 20's? Sometimes...

Elmyra is wealthier then she looks. She has the best house in the slums next to Don Corneo's mansion. Also, they do call it /MAIDEN/ of the Planet. Maiden being a synonym for virgin.

5:Well, it might take a long time, but eventually Cloud will settle for what he can have instead of pining for what he can't have.

As long as Aerith continues to manifest in spirit form on a regular basis, he'll never forget her. And he CAN have her..spiritually anyway.

Well, we hope so. As far as Calling suggests, it seems that there is some possible connection that Cloud and Aerith have at a flowerfield. It's been discussed in some topic... I don't remember the title because it was completely off-topic, but it was a great discussion!

Okay... so now for my craziest reasons.

1) Aerith is DEAD, people. Do you really want Cloud to hump a corpse?!

I hate when Clotis say something along these lines. I'm not trying to insult them, but they must have a really shallow perception of love. What makes Cloud and Aerith so romantic is that they're love for one another is clearly sustained after death. It's like Romeo & Juliet except Romeo doesn't kill himself.

2) The Cloti date is default because Interrupted by Fireworks was written for their date.

It really doesn't make sense to me that a date which is NOT the easiest one to get nor the one that the date mechanism obviously favors can be considered the default date. Why do people even bother arguing this? It's so the Cleris date. I know this might sound horrible, but I don't even consider that an opinion as much as I consider it a fact.

Not sure why, but some Clotis are really obsessed with corpses. They also seem to think 'love' is something that's solely based on one's ability to hump another. <_<

I refuse to believe that these Clotis will no longer love their boyfriend/girlfriend, a parent, a sibling, a friend, etc. once those people have passed away. Ridiculous...

My friend (Who is pretty much a neutral fan, but he admits that Cloud and Aerith = <3, haha) attempted to make Cloud a player during the game, and he still ended up with Aerith as the date. :lol:

I have always laughed at the Denzel = Cloud and Tifa's child theory. Because if its true, then Tifa must have been pregnant for a week, and that kid sure aged quick as hell since the movie is TWO years after the game.

Actually, to get Denzel at the right age, Cloud would've had to knock Tifa up in the Nibelheim inclident. Or possibly just before he left to try and get in SOLDIER. I don't know Denzel's exact age. But from AC's point view, Nibelheim is 7 years ago, Cloud's forced promise to Tifa is about 9 years ago.

not really, to tell you the truth, cloud barely smiles, he dose smile with aeris, and with tifa too. Cloud is such an ass. But in Sdvent Children, cloud and tifa work together, and have a family (orphans) cloud and aeris were always just friends to me. In the game, on the date, all aeris said was "cloud, i want to get to know you" i want to get to know, the real you" she knew he was being zack, her first love, and one she never broke up with. in advent children also, tifa had a really pretty ring on, it looked like a wedding ring. Cloud and Tifa had a huge connection in the movie, some people may not have noticed it, but i sure did, and loads of other people. and at the end, her and zack are their, and they leave together, and when cloud says he found what he was looking for, it was tifa and his family and friends. Marline and Denzel treat cloud like a father, and barret said to Denzel "protech your mother" which is tifa, and cloud and tifa live together with denzel and marline. and in the game, cloud and tifa had soo many sweet moments together, and not really with aeris and cloud. and in kingdom hearts, that made everything confusing, aeris dies in FF7, and then out of the blue she's back in KH, and tifa's not their... but then in KH2, tifa is their, its all confusing, then AC came to america and she's a ghost/spirit their. I truely think cloudxtifa is a true couple, and zackxaeris is another, but you can like cloudxaeris all you want, it kinda bugs me,

i did X3(refering to advent children) and she's dead. i really saw no connection between cloud and aeris at all, freindship, but no love. Cloud and Tifa are together in the movie, they have a family..., and with this special scene with going over the game, cloud asked tifa to close the bar and the work place and would see tifa. Its just what i belive, and loads of people belive, you belive what u belive, and i belive what i belive X3 i dont want to get into an argument, lol

Of course...the fact that Aerith's consciousness continues to live on in Cloud and the fact that he can continue to see her doesn't say anything about a connection/a bond. The fact that she's able to come back and the fact that she's still a part of his life would mean nothing to these Clotis.

Yet, to these people, Cloud closing himself off to Tifa and leaving his whole family for the majority of the film would mean that they DO share something special beyond their family relationship. <_<

By starting (as they do) from the supposition that Cloud loves Tifa, they can easily prove Cloud is an ass by the way he treats Tifa...which is not the proper way one should treat one's significant other at all.

Of course, WE don't think that way cause when we look at how he treats Aerith, there's no evidence of him being an ass at all. Just...being somewhat reserved. Which is what one would expect from Cloud. But Aerith can tell what's going on inside of him, and so, for that matter, can we.

Angelalex242, what you said about this is so true. Clotis are always saying that Cloud's a nut job or he's a jerk or an ass. Why? Because they think he "loves" Tifa, but he sure has a funny way of showing it, doesn't he?

And Cloud and Tifa were always just friends to me. As far as I know about them working together, Tifa owns the bar, and Cloud owns a delivery service. I don't think they actually work together. I just think that if Cloud's not home, Tifa takes down orders for him, but I don't consider that working together. And really, Cloud and Tifa don't have a family in the sense this Cloti means it, but I'll go into that later.

That's not all she says actually. She says she wants to meet him which many (maybe most) Clerises take to mean that she wants a relationship with Cloud. Also, about him being Zack, she knew he was acting like him, and it bothered her. It's not like having a second Zack was some sort of kinky fetish of her's. She even says that Cloud is different... things are different. And if you've read MoTP, you would know that once she finds out who the real Cloud is, she continues to love him.

But it was on the wrong hand for a wedding/engagement ring, and Barret and Denzel both have the same ring. A lot of Clotis say that Tifa's ring means something *special* in comparisson to Barret and Denzel because there was a half second close up on it (I really think the close up was on her hand pounding the bed but whatever). Isn't that the same thing as saying Cloud and Tifa are symbolically bonded by their pink ribbons because their's are more visible throughout the film than the others' ribbons?

I think Cloud and Aerith's connection is a million times more obvious, and their connection has even been confirmed by Nomura himself! Aerith's consciousness continues to live on inside Cloud. Hello, blatant connection! I do believe that Cloud and Tifa have a connection as well, but I personally think it's a connection between siblings. So I'm sorry that you didn't see the connection between Cloud and Aerith, but it's a canon connection...

Why do you think Cloud was talking about Tifa and his family? Didn't he have them all along? As for Marlene and Denzel treating Cloud like a father, Marlene already HAS a father. I really want Clotis to stop acting like Cloud adopted her, because she's already got a dad. As for Denzel, he looks up to Cloud like his hero. Father? maybe, but I certainly don't think so. I thinks he looks up to him like a brother. Barret saying "Protect Mom" is, I believe, only in the English version. I could be wrong here, but in the translated copy I had of AC before I got the English DVD, Barret always said "Protect Tifa here." Lastly: Cloud, Tifa, Denzel, Marlene, and BARRET live together. Why is it that Clotis take Barret out of the picture just because he's not there often? Cloud isn't there often either.

I disagree 100%. In terms of Cleris moments, there were countless. The prediction that Cait Sith makes saying that Cloud will "lose something dear." The other prediction that Cloud and Aerith are perfect for each other while Interrupted by Fireworks plays. When Aerith makes Cloud laugh (the only time he laughs in the entire game). Cloud refuses to help out his dear old childhood pal for less than 2,000 gil, but minutes later he promises to be a stranger's bodyguard for nothing but a date. When Cloud thinks Tifa is dead, he moves her aside. When Aerith dies, Cloud falls apart and cries. The famous "But I'm... we're here for you, right?" line at Cosmo Canyon. THE HAND-REACH SCENE. There are plenty of moments (much more than what I mentioned), and just because you didn't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. I thought all the Cloti moments came off as completely one-sided. The Promise? There are conditions to that promise, conditions that Cloud never met. In order to come save her, he has to become a famous hero.

Now, this is worth looking through. Cloud even brings up the conditions as a reason why he can't fulfill the promise. What does Tifa do? She doesn't object to the fact that there are conditions. She says that he made SOLDIER, so that meets the conditions. Guess what? Cloud DIDN'T make SOLDIER.

Sorry, it kind of bothers me when Clotis insist that ZackxAerith is canon when MoTP states as clear as can be that Aerith loves Cloud more than she ever loved Zack. Aerith even tells Zack that he could never be a lover. That really doesn't suggest a true couple in my eyes.

I know i,m going off the rail a bit here,but i just like to put my p.o.v across then i'll shut up .I got ffvii a year or so ago,because i was reading a diffrent forum on a diffrent site about kingdom hearts. One thread was about who would you have liked to have seen in the game,and every one was saying Tifa,then they all started talking about their relationship,i was like wow what a love story,i have to get the game so thats how i got into it.Some people say Cloud is looking for Aeris in kh1,but i disagree.I think hes looking for sephy,and i think thats one of the reasons he's at hercules stadium. In the japanese version theres a scene of cloud running towards sephy and they start having a battle(but only in the jap version) Also when he sees aeris at the end he doesnt seem that pleased to see her does he????

I think cloud and aeris were never meant to be a couple,if they were she wouldnt have gotten killed.Tifa and cloud are way more belivable.And all this "i think i can meet her there" i feel he means as a friend,Tifa says after" yes lets meet her there" And i didnt see cloud protest.In the movie he did "meet her there" but there wasnt any romantic intentions,Aeris even asked "why have you come" which means she doesnt know what he's doing there.
KH2 its not out here yet, but from what i've heard and seen,its obvious Tifa is clouds light.Isnt she glowing (or something) like someone stuck a firework up her ass????? Okay, this guy is a moron, but here we go... First of all, Cloud is seeking out Aerith just as much as she is seeking him out. If anything, he needs a proctologist to pry Tifa's head out of his ass. :yawn:

Secondly, I have heard a lot of people say that Cait Sith's predictions are wrong, but they aren't. Cait Sith wasn't always able to tell Cloud what he wanted to hear, but he wasn't necessarily wrong either, especially when it was something important. The more fortunes Cait Sith read, the more potent and true they seemed to be.

For instance "give in to the good will of others and something big will happen" could refer to Cloud's cold exterior being melted away by the kind nature of Aerith. Cloud did not seem to care for anyone or anything until after he met Aerith. Aerith was the only one who could get Cloud to open up and care. So, what was the big thing that happened? It could be referring to Cloud falling in love with Aerith. It could be referring to Cloud caring enough for Aerith and the planet to fight Sephiroth and help save the world. It could be referring to many big things that happened during the course of FFVII. So, is this prediction wrong? No.

"Be careful of forgetfulness" is a fortune of great importance for Cloud. After all, he forgot about his life as a common grunt in SOLDIER and started believing he had been living the life of SOLDIER First Class, Zack. Is this prediction wrong? No.

"Your lucky color is... blue?" Well, Cloud did wear blue all the time in FFVII. XD Not to mention, he has amazing blue Mako eyes. So, is this prediction wrong? Well, no.

"What you pursue will be yours." This could be referring to the Black Materia, but, personally, I think it is referring to Sephiroth. After all, Cloud was chasing Sephiroth down during the events of FFVII. And he did catch up with him. Again, this prediction doesn't appear wrong at all.

"But you will lose something dear." What was the price Cloud paid for hunting down Sephiroth? He lost Aerith, the one most dear to him. Once again, we see that Cait Sith's predictions are not wrong. He didn't know what or who Cloud would lose, but he called it right.

So, if these predictions aren't wrong, then why would anyone claim that Cait Sith's prediction regarding Cloud and Aerith's compatibility was wrong? o_0 Here is what Cait Sith had to say about them:

"This isn't good. I can't say it. Poor Tifa." Why would Cait Sith feel bad for Tifa? Read on...

"Looks good. You are perfect for each other! Aeris's star and Cloud's star!" Funny, CloTis think the stars show Cloud's love for Tifa. Looks like you guys were wrong again. XD

"They show a great future!" How was Cait Sith to know what Aerith would be the "something dear" that Cloud lost? This prediction shows that, if Aerith had not died, she and Cloud would have had a wonderful life ahead of them. T_T

"Cloud, I'll be your matchmaker, preacher..." Preacher??? Did Cait Sith see a wedding in their future??? O_O

"I'll do whatever you want me to! Just call on me when it all happens!" Yep, it looks like Cait Sith believed Cloud and Aerith would wed in the future! ^_^ Don't believe me? Look at the Japanese version of this scene... "Cloud, I'll arrange your marriage, be the host, or a spy, whatever you ask! Just call me then, OK?"

Thirdly, we all know how "correct" the booklet was, don't we? :rolleyes: Tifa and Cloud weren't childhood friends, as the booklet stated, Tifa isn't optimistic as the booklet stated, etc., etc.... And where is your proof that CS's predictions were wrong???

Just because you asked so nicely, I'll tell you EXACTLY how.

1) Cloud refuses to help his begging "childhood pal", Tifa, for anything less than a whole lot of gil. The next day, he meets a total stranger, Aerith, and agrees to be her bodyguard for a date.

2) Aerith's date is default. End of story.

3) Aerith makes Cloud laugh. Tifa never does this. Ever.

4) In Don Corneo's mansion:
Cloud: No, Aerith! I can't have you get involved.
Aerith: Oh? So it's all right for Tifa to be in danger?
Cloud: No, I don't want Tifa in....

5) Cloud: Aerith. I got you mixed up in all of this...
Cloud: No, Aerith! I can't have you get involved.
Cloud: (to Aerith): You gotta be kidding. Why do you want to put yourself in danger again?
Cloud: (to Aerith): How could I ask you to go along when I knew it would be dangerous?
Cloud: (to Aerith): Wait! I'll go on alone! You go home!
*Later when talking about breaking into Shrina HQ*
Tifa: I'm going with you.
Cloud: We're going right into Shinra headquarters. ...You gotta be prepared for the worst.

6) The hand-reach scene is the only FMV of the game involving Cloud that suggests any sort of reciprocated love between him and anyone.

7) After Aerith gets kidnapped by the Turks, Tifa and Barret talk about how horrible Shrina is for destroying the Sector plate. Cloud stays quiet, and then he marchs off on his own. Tifa realizes it's because he's preoccupied with thoughts of saving Aerith.

8) Aerith: My first boyfriend.
Cloud: You were... serious? (he sounds a little jealous, doesn't he?)

9) Cloud has a dream with Aerith in it.

10) Cloud: Aerith is here. ...and so is Sephiroth. (of course he can feel Sephiroth; it's the Jenova cells)
...
Cloud: ...It's not an excuse. I feel it in my soul. (so he can feel Aerith's presence in his soul?)

11) He cries when Aerith dies. He doesn't cry when he thinks that Tifa was killed by Sephiroth. He just moves her aside.

12) From a writer's POV, Aerith's death was timed in an obvious way so that the player can feel Cloud's pain by her loss very deeply (it comes right after the Gold Saucer date and Caith Sith's prediction and Cloud's dream of her in the forest when he tries to run after her but can't). It was the same way in FF8. After Rinoa passes into some sort of coma, we finally see Squall express his feelings for her. And once we see those feelings reach their pinnacle, Rinoa (almost) dies.

13) Cait Sith: Nope. Not a thing. Naw. Can't come up with a thing.
Cloud: I remember Aerith a lot. No... not that. You haven't remembered. You haven't forgotten. That's not it... How would you say it... Aerith was right there all along. Right by our side. She was so close, we couldn't see her. What Aerith did... The words she left behind...
Tifa: That reminds me... I was the same.
Red XIII: As was I.
Barret: Me too...

14) In the official commercial for the game, the word "love" is captured over Aerith and Cloud.

15) The heroine and the hero always fall in love in Final Fantasy, and I think it's pretty easy to say that Aerith is the heroine of the game.

There are many more reasons, but those are the ones I could think of off the top of my head. We Clerises aren't as stupid as you think we are. We have MANY reasons for believing knowing our couple is canon.

Yeeeah, Ally, there've been other threads before that have copied and pasted stuff from Cloti forums, which have ended up closed-- so I think the same principle should apply to our Faithian buddies too.

If you see something they brought up that you'd like to discuss here, by all means, post about it. Just don't directly paste one of their posts word-for-word, okay? ^_^

- The Date Mechanism doesn't show who Cloud loves.
This reason always makes me laugh whenever the subject of the Date Mechanism pops up. Call me cynical, but I can't help wondering if it's because it's been proven that Aerith is the default date. I can easily see the Cloti debaters singing a different tune should Tifa have been the default date (Kingdom Hearts, anyone?).

- You have more chances to show affection to Tifa than you do to Aerith.
Or something to that extent. I don't know how this is supposed to support Cloti, as this indicates to me even moreso that Tifa was an optional date, since YOU can choose whether to be nice to her or not. Whereas with Aerith, you have less choices in determining Cloud's reaction to her-- he'll still show affection to her in many scenes REGARDLESS of your personal feelings.

Ah yes the scene where he runs to Tifa who is passed out and picks her up (not that he wouldn't be concerned for any friend, he actually picks up kadaj...... is that cannon too????) lol he picks her up, but honestly he could be looking for the people who did that to her but that still doesn't prove cloti, she is his friend and of course he doesn't want to see her hurt, I wouldn't want to see any of my friends laying out unconcious but does that mean I want to fall in love with them and be with them in a relationship

I think Cloud's more pissed about his materia being gone then he is about Tifa being hurt.
