I wasnt updated with news a long time, so I dont know if the DoC OST was already released in Japan.

Hope someone could upload the OST for us, when it's released :)

The DoC OST will be released on Feb 15th and costs $31.60. I've already got my limited edition reserved at CDJapan. The OST is 2 discs, and includes 'REDEMPTION' and 'LONGING' by Gackt. Also, the Limited Edition will come with a special case which can hold the 2 OST discs, Gackt's 'REDEMPTION' single (and DVD? dunno), and the game. ^_^ I hope that helps you. I think pre-ordering is still available through www.cdjapan.co.jp

Can you please rip it after you get it for me and those who dont have the money to buy it :) I'll be very grateful if you could :huggle:

Don't fret, Lady leBlanc. Once the OST is released, uploads for it will follow very quickly. The fandom is very fast when it comes to these things. :P

If you really can't wait, though, how about just asking Amathala for specific songs when she gets the CD? I imagine ripping an entire OST can be quite time-consuming.

Yeah, since there are 71 tracks on it >.< OMG....I can upload REDEMPTION and LONGING for you guys if you want it though, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow. I'm about to pass out LOL

That's true that ripping the CD can take more times, especially ripping the japanese CDs, they are incredible well protected, I know what I'm speaking when I remembered 2 years ago I was trying to rip Ayu album for a friend: I wasted 2 monthes and had tried more than 10 different rip-programms, the result was my PC crashed down like a PING PONG.... :mad:

I got my OST today. Later on I'll be scanning the cover of the OST box...it's got a picture of all the characters from FFVII and from DoC (baddies included), except for Aerith (I didnt really expect her on there anyway >_>). It looks kind of like the BC poster, everyone is anime style as well. I'll give it a listen and let you know what I think.

Overall for this OST not having been done by Uematsu, it's really wonderful! They use a violin often, and I think that's what I like the most about it, LOL. Some of the songs are slow and sad (fitting the theme), but the battles or characters songs are mostly upbeat.

They really did a great job on this one. No Aerith's Theme in the Lifestream song though :( That really sucks, but since it's not Uematsu doing the music, I can understand why it wouldn't be in there.

"Trigger Situation" sounds like the main theme playing on the site but some parts of it seems to be different~ I'm not sure though, could be just me~ XD

I'd rather wait till I own the game, and not listen to the soundtrack prematurely, but from what I hear from friends, it's excellent and has a real "Vincent Valentine" feel to it. I've heard nothing but praise for it so far, and it looks like Nobuo's absence won't sink an OST, like it did with X-2 (in my opinion, anyway :P ).

I must be the only one here that is against downloading soundtracks. If you want it so bad, go buy it...

That's what I did, and I think I stated at the beginning of this thread that I didnt want to upload all of it. Sorry, but this is hard earned money that I spent on an OST as a treat for my hard work. Other people may feel fine giving them away, but SE isn't going to make money by people downloading them and keeping them. And yes, I buy ALL the Japanese CD's that I can get my hands on, anime as well (I dont listen to mainstream US music anymore).

I knwo I understand what you 2 feel and your effort of supporting SE, but I think there are many people trying to do the way they can in order to support them too, even if they dont have the money.

It's ok if you dont share, it's faire. But the love of "poor" fans can starve to death....

Excuse me for not sharing with you, but I have a full-time job and I bought this with my money that I spend 5 days a week working to get. I would appreciate it if you would leave the comments about being "poor" fans out of this, as there are some people who might really be poor. It's not my fault that you dont have the money to purchase it, and since it is MY OST, it's MY decision whether or not I put it up for you to download it.

Lady leBlanc, I understand what you're trying to say, as I download fansubs and whatnot myself. But bottomline is that downloading something just because you can't afford it doesn't excuse the action. The simple rule is if you can't afford something, you don't get it. If we download something, we might as well own up that it's because we want to have our cake and eat it too, instead of trying to justify it.

Amathala has also already expressed that she didn't want to upload the whole OST, which is perfectly understandable seeing as how she paid for it with her own money. Let's respect her wishes and leave it be.

Links have been given to places you can download the songs, both as an album through BT and individual songs through direct links. That should be enough.

With that, how about we move back on-topic and discuss the OST itself? This really isn't the thread for debating original vs. downloads.

I dont get why u are angry at me, and I didnt even mad at you :o . I say I nderstand why u dont share, but I didnt say it's your fault not to share. I understand that you have to work hard for those OST. yes, its your decision not to upload, it's ok, I didnt say you were mean or stingy.
