Title: One More Character
Description: To be in AC
Anastar - December 4, 2004 05:44 AM (GMT)
Wilhelm just told me yesterday that Famitsu magazine has said that there is one remaining character to be revealed in AC. That character will probably only have a very small part, but who do you hope it is?
My first choice would be Elmyra... I'd love to see a scene where Cloud goes to visit her. My second choice would be Bugenhagen - I've always loved that old guy, and I can easily picture Nanaki having a flashback of him in the movie. I'd also love to see Ifalna.
How about you?

I'd have to agree with Elmyra and/or Bugenhagen. It would be great to see either of them in the movie even just for a minute or two.
Andina - December 4, 2004 07:13 AM (GMT)
Well, I have hard time picking just one of the remaining characters that aren't in the movie. But I suppose it would have to be Ifalna as who here wouldn't want to see what Aerith's mother really looks like. And unlike many others she might actually be very useful to Cloud and everyone else (if she could communicate with them somehow...) as she knows very much about the planet and even Jenova.
But more than anything I just want to see what she looks like, and a nice scene where we could see Aerith with her mother would really make me happy. ^_^
Aprillis - December 4, 2004 08:14 AM (GMT)
I donno... Elena? I'd like to see her in CG form...
But it's most probably Elmyra or Bugenhagen.
~Fury Brand~ - December 4, 2004 10:26 AM (GMT)
Thank you for the news Aly  You too Wilhelm :)
Would could it possibly be though? Who would they wait so long to reveal? Unless it's someone they just decided to add in recently
I agree with all the choices that have been mentioned in this thread, I'd be happy if any of them appeared :) I'd like to see Cait Sith/Reeve too though :)
Tifa Lockheart - December 4, 2004 01:47 PM (GMT)
Wanna see Lucrecia...
or Elena...
:( *sniff sniff*
nomadff7 - December 4, 2004 03:17 PM (GMT)
I agree that I would like Elmyra to be shown, I was disappointed in FFVII when they never showed her again. (I wanted to have Cloud talk to her after Aeris was gone, that would have been a very moving scene, I think). But I know that my sister wants to see Elena in the movie, that was one of her favorite Turks. I would also like to see Rufus Shinra, but I doubt he'd be in the movie. I just want to see what he would look like. But I'll probably like whomever they decide to put in there. Oh, I just thought of someone else. I'd like to see Shera too, I liked her in the game with Cid. Hmm... maybe there will be more than one character to add, because there are so many I want to see! ;)
Buhon - December 4, 2004 07:55 PM (GMT)
wow... will the AC surprises never end?
I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else here, there are too many bit characters from the game that I'd like to see (Buggenhaggen, Elmyra, etc. etc.).
Maybe they'll fool us all and have it be Dio... or Mukki... hmmm... yikes...
Kaldea - December 4, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
I too, would love to see a scene with Cloud talking to Elmyra. Like him asking her more about Aeris's past and stuff. But I dunno. What I could see is Square bringing Hojo back if only for a flashback as well. But my guess would be Reeve or Cait Sith.
SweetJanie - December 4, 2004 10:32 PM (GMT)
I'd like to see professor Gast. Here are my reasons:
1.He knows a lot about Sephy and Jenova and probably the planet itself
2.He's Aeris' father :)
3. "Cloud, there is a way to make my daughter revive..."
"Really?! Then tell me!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!!!"
"Oops...I forgot..."
"...;__;...."
.........Ok, forget the last one :ph43r:

I suppose you are right about that, dear. All of the other main characters have been confirmed to be in this movie already, so it would make sense that Reeve/Caith Sith will also make an appearance. It wouldn't be fair if he just gets ignored...*sob* :P
Anastar - December 5, 2004 12:53 AM (GMT)
Well, the reason I didn't think it would be Reeve/Cait Sith is because he's been confirmed to be in DC and appears to have a central part in it. I figured they had decided that Reeve/Cait Sith would work better in that setting. Perhaps it will be him... but I'd rather see Cloud visit Elmyra. If he's living in the Church, he's not that far from her house - unless it was destroyed. Something tells me it wasn't destroyed. There was something magical about that house, just like the Church.
Kaldea - December 5, 2004 02:27 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I would love to see both Reeve and Elmyra! It would be awesome to see her house with the waterfall and garden in such beautiful graphics. And Cloud could visit Aeris's room and step on that squeaky floorboard one more time.
And I know they would make Reeve so hot in those graphics. Square is gonna have a tough job trying to satisfy everyone! :ph43r:
Aprillis - December 5, 2004 02:58 AM (GMT)
Wooo.... Hot Reeve.. :ph43r: :ph43r:
Must see that!

I would love to see Aerith's house done in AC graphics with the waterfall and the flower garden!! And I would love to see Cloud speak with Elmyra about Aerith. I so hope they do that!!
Since there are so many bit characters - like Bugenhagen, Elena, Lucrecia, Ifalna, Gast, etc - that we'd all love to see, but they don't have room in the story for all of them, I'm hoping that Square will do just a facial portrait of those characters to put at the end of the movie during the credits roll so that we can see them all in AC graphics.
Sefie - December 6, 2004 06:02 PM (GMT)
Elmyra or Iflana. But I'd prefer Elmyra. Just like everyone else, I want an emotional scene with Cloud and Elmyra talk about Aeris. He could apologize, and they could get talking about what they loved her for. It'd be so nice*sniff*

A sweet scene it would be, dear. But considering how short this movie is they really do not have time for something like that, especially as it would involve a character that is not important to the story.
Unless of course they would make only last a minute, but that is hardly enough as I bet those two could talk about Aerith for weeks. ^_^
Anastar - December 6, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
I would love a flashback of Cloud going to Elmyra after the end of FFVII... if Cloud went at all, it would most likely be to apologize for letting Aerith die. But while apologizing, he may admit to Elmyra that he loved Aerith. I really doubt that Square will do that, but I'd love to see it.
Square may set it up so that Cloud has to go to Aerith's house for some reason... or if Elmyra runs the orphanage, he may have to see her about the children.
In the scene where Cloud drives the sword into the ground, he says that he decided to live someone's share, meaning that he decided to live his life in a way that would honor someone who had died. If he is referring to Aerith there, taking care of the orphans would be one way of honoring Aerith and remembering her. It would make sense for him to be doing that with Elmyra, so I hope Square works her into the plot that way.
Yukari - December 7, 2004 04:11 AM (GMT)
It'd be nice to see Elmyra, but since I'm a Reeve lover I'm hoping it'll be him. I know he has a central part in DC, but it wouldn't be fair to ignore him in AC. I'd like to see Elena too, she's conspicuously absent from the Turks gang. It wouldn't be the same without her. And if all else fails, I'd LOVE to see Mukki stalking Cloud and taking great delight in reminding him of the Honeybee Inn bathtime scene. Maybe he could be delivering something and run into the 'Young Bubby's Group'. :ph43r:

Yeah, it will be cool to see Elmyra again. Reeve ... I'm not sure but ... how about Cait Sith? Hopefully we could see Bugenhagen as he should still be around eventhough he's about 100 over years old. Yeah... almost forgot about Elena, she shouldn't be left out as she is part of the Turks.
Sefie - December 7, 2004 08:07 PM (GMT)
*Furrows brow* wait wait wait wait, didn't Bugenhagen die?
Kaldea - December 7, 2004 09:53 PM (GMT)
They implied it. We don't exactly know for sure but what do we know for sure about FFVII?
He died to me though. Makes more sense in the story.

Well some have to die for good, they can't just bring everyone back from the dead or death would be meaningless in the world of FFVII. Old man Bugen died of old age, if you went to Cosmo Canyon later in the game with Nanaki. But I think it was possible not to go there, and in that case one could think that he didn't die.
Shuro - December 7, 2004 11:16 PM (GMT)
I would actually like to see Hojo... Though I sincerely doubt that's going to happen now. ._.

I wanted to see Hojo as the WCM. That would have been far more interesting than Rufus as the WCM. Hojo was really behind everything that happened in FFVII. I was rather surprised they didn't include Hojo somehow.
However, I'd still rather see Elmyra. Bugenhagen could easily be in the movie in flashbacks, too.

Are we SURE that Rufus is the WCM? I mean, they called him "Mr. President"... But does that mean FOR SURE that WCM is Rufus?
Sefie - December 8, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
Well, Rufus' voice actor is in the list, and having the WCM reffered to as "Mr President" along with that...I'd say it's for sure.
Oh good! I could've SWORN that Bugenhagen died if you went back to C.C! It's nice to know someone else knew that as well...

Who else could it be? Like Sefie said Rufus' voice actor is on the list. And the only one who was ever called Mr. President in FFVII was Rufus' father, (who was impaled by Sephy) and he most certainly is not important enough to be brought back to life in AC. :P
And on top of that, what we see of the WCM reall looks like Rufus.
There really isn't anyone else who it could be. Unless of course they have elected a new president.
Of course I would love to see Hojo in AC, but he is one of those characters that died in FFVII. But, as we have seen those who seem to be dead are often alive.

Tseng was killed in FFVII in the Temple of the Ancients. I am not sure what happened to Elena.

Well we think that Tseng died, but nowdays you never know...
But sweet Elena (my favourite Turk) should be alive. So needless to say I have been very disappointed that she has not been with Reno and Rude in those few screenshots. *pout* <_<
Perhaps Geostigma got her? Who knows, but I do wish she is still alive and is shown in the movie. I just love her hair so much. ^_^
Aprillis - December 8, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
Well, Tseng was stabbed by Sephy and then was left to be crushed under the shrinking Temple of the Ancients, but you know what? I hope he's still alive!

After their last encounter with Cloud the Turks were very much alive. Unless something happened after the events of FFVII that is still a secret to us then she should be alive and well.
Carmencita - December 8, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
I heard a rumor sometime in the not-so-distant past that Reeve and Elena are dead during AC's timeframe. But Reeve is very much alive, so I'm hoping Elena is, too. :D
I also wanna see Scarlet. But I'm not sure if she's alive either. (Kyah)
Seeing Elmyra would be cool too...

If you ask me, I don't think Tseng is dead but maybe just badly injured. I dunno why but I still think he lives. He may have been stabbed but I don't think he died. Who knows, maybe Advent Children may enlighten us on what happened to everyone.

Hopefully those rumors aren't true as Elena along with Rude and Reno did escape when Cloud and the rest battled them for the last time in Midgar. If Reno and Rude survived, so did Elena. That's what I believe. :D :)
Hopefully Reeve didn't die. As , if there is no Reeve, there's no Cait Sith. Talking about Cait Sith, is he gonna be in Advent Children? :ph43r:
Scarlet... hmm.... I dunno if she's alive but I'm sure she survived somehow along with Heidegger .

That was said in an interview with Nomura, I think, and it was reported at AC.net. I'll see if I can dig it out. (All of the links to their articles got changed after their site got hacked. I had all the articles bookmarked, but now I have to dig them all out, which isn't easy on a phone modem. :() They said that Elena would be in BC rather than AC in the same article.
