I acknowledge that they're cute, and Anastasia's fangirling over Kurando is certainly very entertaining to watch, and they're pretty much canon as far as SH pairings go... but I still can't quite seem to look at this pairing as much more than something cute.

Other than the fangirling (yes, she fangirls over him in-game :giggle: ), there wasn't much development for their relationship. Kurando and Anastasia share small bits of occasional conversation, but that was pretty much it. It's a bit like pre-DC Yuffentine in that regards.

But then again, there wasn't much development for any pairing other than Yuri/Alice in the SH games, so I suppose they were one of the luckier ones (unlike *cough*Nicolai/Karin*cough*).

Oh, don't worry, I don't hold my dislike for Malon X Link against all the fans. Most of you have proved to be very sweet and logical. I just can't take the rabids. And yes, Zelink is flooded with them, too, just like every other pairing on the planet. :P

And my reasons for disliking Malon X Link are primarily that I think they were more... friendly acquaintances than lovers. She was fun to be around, but the fact is that they really didn't know each other that well. After so little interaction, it wasn't surprising to me at all that she barely remembered his name after seven years. Plus, I thought Zelda was one of the most developed characters in the game, and she really had a lot of depth to her that could have been explored more, but what the game showed was sufficient enough for me. I just think she works better with my vision of Link's character. That's pretty much why the war exists--we all see Link as we want to see him, and my Link happens to be quite perfect for the princess. ^_^

Malon X Link is DEFINITELY not the worst fanon pairing in my mind. (Zelda X Deku Tree takes that title. WTF alert. :lmao: ) I used to be a fan, but I just thought Zelda made more sense as Link's love interest after playing through the whole game. Malon and Link will always be friends to me, though Marin X Link does kick ass. :D
