Well, I've only seen the first 4 episodes, so I am not sure which pairing I support. Both IchigoxRukia and IchigoxOrihime both have their appealing sides. ^_^ However, I am leaning more toward IchigoxRukia lately after I actually watched the ending credits. Orihime is shown surrounded by her friends... Ichigo is shown alone... Rukia is also shown alone, but she is holding a long red ribbon. What the ribbon is attached to isn't shown. However, in Japanese culture, a red ribbon can often symbolize a connection between two soulmates (e.g. Aerith's ribbon). I don't know what happens later in the series, but it seems Rukia may have a deep connection with Ichigo based on this.... :hmm: *Closes ears to spoilers* :shh:

I'm actually beginning to become vehemently AGAINST IchigoxRukia, but I'm on the phone right now so I'll post my reasons later

I haven't watched Bleach in, like, forever-- but if memory serves me right, Ichigo and his Shinigami business have something to do with the red ribbon. I think it's revealed later, so keep watching! ^_^

Personally, I think the anime leans towards Ichigo/Rukia and Ishida/Orihime, even though it followed the manga quite closely plot-wise (well, before the fillers came...). I've read posts before of how smaller manga scenes showing how much Orihime liked Ichigo were changed in the anime. The manga may be more neutral, though I haven't read past the beginning of the Shinigami arc.

As for pairing preferences, I don't have any. I guess it helps that my focus is more on single characters like Ishida, Renji etc.

I also find Bleach pretty unique in that there's no real main heroine. I mean, sure, we open up the series with Rukia, but Orihime feels like a serious contender for main heroine at times too. Plus she fits the whole "magical girl" archetype so well. Now this is the way to have "two heroines", SE. :razz:

And the art is bloody smexy. :lust:

The more I read the manga, the more I like RukiaxIchigo honestly, so Sefila, you wont sway me! :P I feel like Rukia and Ichigo have a stronger connection personally, and please, don't tell me that I only like it because I "hate" Orihime because I like both girls. :rolleyes: *was told this once*

I noticed the same thing in the ending credits of the anime too, and the second ending screams it to me as well. Actually, I liked IchigoxOrihime until I got to know the characters more, and I just don't see them working out so well. Anyway, I guess I'm not shocked by there being a lot of Clerises that like IchigoxOrihime, afterall, tough guy, cheerful girl. lol

As for couples... I won't post my reasons now (maybe later) but there's only one couple that I can't see happening: IshidaxOrihime. Maybe in the beginning of the series it can seem that this one is possible, but according to the current plot...

You'll have to forgive me a small rant guys, or maybe enlighten me.
Why the heck do all the characters even LIKE Rukia? She disrespects Ichigo more than she ever does anything else with him. We never see ANY downtime between these two, just fight, fight, fight fight. I mean, in the episode where she's trying to leave and is flashing back on all these "touching" moments, every single one is a fight! I've never seen anything beyond working together between them, and she isn't even very nice during that!
Furthermore, why was Kon so heartbroken over her leaving? All she does is stomp on him! I've NEVER seen her treat him well!
And why does Orihime try so hard to be friends with her? Well, that one I can see a bit more. Orihime's ridiculously nice*Admires her*

At the present, I think I´m open-minded with Bleach pairings (I don´t dislike IchigoxRukia neither IchigoxOrihime). But I have a little more preference towards IchigoxRukia and UlquiorraxOrihime (yay, at first I thought it was a really strange pairing, but after chapters 247-49 and 262 in the manga, I couldn´t resist xP. And Ulqui deserves some love :P ).
I agree with Lynx about the IshidaxOrihime couple: at one moment I thought there could be something between them, but since then there hasn´t been any development into their relationship. Nothing. sooo....

About Rukia... I see it like a RanmaxAkane or LinaxGourry type of relationship. They usually don´t fight seriously, it´s more in a comical way. And I think Rukia is likeable (I love love LOVE her moments with Orihime... I miss something like it between Aerith and Tifa :cry: )...

I agree Aerith_kun, Most of their fights are more comical than anything, and I respect how strong willed Rukia is. I doubt Ichigo would have agreed to help her if she hadn't been tough on him. He seems to respond well to a more aggressive attitude to get him going, and he knows that she does care about him. Despite being someone who does argue and act more like she's one of the guys, she also is a very kind person who can be very gentle and is willing to put her life on the line for others whenever she has to.

About Kon, if it wasn't for Rukia, he'd have been killed, it was because she was willing to risk any trouble with the soul society over not having him destroyed that he's still around. Did you see the part where Urahara was going to take him back? Well that's why he adores her so much.

So basically, Rukia is a complex character, and I respect her a lot. She's different from Orihime, but I think both are equally kind. I hope you start seeing her good side!
