Please don't call her "kh singer". It makes her seem like that's all she's known for.

Anyway, I like her. First Love is one of those once in a lifetime songs. Loved it. Doubt there'll be any other Japanese/English song that will compare.

And I liked her older albums compared to Exodus. They were way better imo.

OOOOH! I LOVE Utada Hikaru...First Love is one of my favorites, followed by Sakura Drops.....hmm....I dunno, it's hard to pick my favorite....

well just to clear this up since this is a gameing forum i reffered to her as kh singer as all of us here have played that and can at least relate that way

i used exodus as an example because it is the only cd of hers avalible in us stores
(WITHOUT ONLINE IMPORTING) so it is a way for the average person to support her

But I do agree with you her older albums are very good (hence my obession w/ certain songs)

But you have to admit kremlin dusk/YMMWTBAM =master pieces

Yep that is one of the main reasons I like her so much..japanese seems to have so much emotion in the lyrics but...sadly I cannot understand it that good,so the english snippets help a bunch :D

Hm. My favorites are Deep River, Travelling (used as a commercial, can't remember if it was a car, or a cellphone), Automatic and Can You Keep a Secret.

Final Distance is heartbreaking. I love it.

"Automatic (Johnny Vicious Remix)" was the first song I ever heard by Hikki back when I was in high school... and I totally fell in love with her. She's got a really nice set of vocals (very distinct voice too), is majorly talented, and doesn't lack in the looks department either. ^^

Her music clips are very nice too and she is a great singer.
Before i go to bed,i often listen her songs to calm myself from the worries of the day.After that,i sleep very well.Among all her songs,my favorite one is Passion.

I really enjoyed her Exodus album for some reason. But my favorite song by her is...hmm...I'd have to say First Love because it was one of the first Japanese songs I'd ever heard. ^_^ I do like Automatic and Final Distance as well, great music from a great singer.

Me too, Miz. I know some of her fans slammed EXODUS, but I loved it. Yes, even Easy Breezy - silly chorus and all. I think Hikki's an amazing singer. The girl sure can hold a note. :wub: The first song I ever heard by Hikki was Automatic, and after I'd listened to it I was hooked. I really admire how she can turn her hand to so many different styles of music, her voice is so versatile that way.

My favourite Hikki songs? Pretty tough to narrow down...

I haven't listened to her English album, but I do like her Japanese songs. Sakura Drops and Passion are my favorites (and Simple and Clean).

Utada Hikaru is a fantastic singer and her songs are awesome!!! :hyper:

She's had some ups and downs. She's a great artist but it seems like her old albums are better than the new ones.

Omg, i love her songs. Im currently hooked on 'Let me give you my love' and 'Passion' the japanese piano version.
She is the best japanese singer i have ever heard, next to Koda Kumi. She rocks too :)
