The Paris Film Festival will start in two days. It's being held December 1 - 3, and Coral - one of our members - will be there! We hope to hear a lot about it from Coral!

There's also a DVD coming out with the first issue of a Japanese magazine called Young Gangan. The DVD will be about the Compilation of FFVII, including AC, BC, and DC. Information on Itadaki Street will also be included in the DVD along with some other games.

So what are the chances that we'll learn something more about Aerith? They've been very quiet about her up til now, but they have to keep her fans interested in the movie. As far as I know, this is one of their last chances before the release of the movie to give us more info on Aerith, besides in the Japanese magazines. Do you think they'll *finally* give us some more info, or are they going to leave us in the dark? :unsure:

Unfortuantely I don't think Aerith will be their top priority. But I hope they will finally release us a new trailer, one where we might finally see Aerith, a moving one that is, still pictures do not please me! I know we saw Aerith in a way in one of the trailers, in that flashback where Cloud was laying her to rest in that pond. But seriously, you can hardly count that? <_<

So I would say if they release new screenshots and/or a new trailer I am quite sure we might see Aerith, or at least part of her. They like to show us only parts of her and I think that trend will remain until the movie is released.

Well, you know the interesting thing about that clip of Cloud laying Aerith to rest, which appeared first in the Jump Festa trailer? That was seen shortly after Nomura said that a female character would be the next character to be revealed. Up until then, we had only seen Cloud and Sephiroth.

Tifa wasn't seen until the following May and the first picture of Marlene was seen shortly after Tifa.... so Aerith was actually the first female character to be seen in AC. Even though it wasn't much of a picture, we still saw Aerith first. :rolleyes:

Thank you for making this thread Aly, I've been thinking about the Paris festival for a while now and now I have the chance to write down my thoughts :) One of the things that I most hope is that yes that more pictures and Aerith's role in the movie will be revealed there. Some Cleris moments and maybe even some footage would be nice too :)

*squee* The Jump Festa this year is going to be on December 18 and 19, and AC is one of the titles that Square will be showing there along with DC and BC. Even more hope that we may learn something more about Aerith! :D

unfortunately I haven't seen more Aerith. It seems that it's the same "special version" than in Venice and Montréal.

Did you see the pink ribbon on Cloud's arm in one scene? We've heard that there's one scene where it's visible, but no one's shown a pic of it yet.

We've all been curious about the part where Aerith says, "Let's go... Cloud...." and then a drop of water falls into a lake or something. Can you tell us more about that scene? (I think that's where Cloud is shown with the pink ribbon) Did it seem to be a flashback?

And yes... did you see Sephiroth? What was your impression of where Cloud has been living?

I don't think you see any new Aerith in the Young Gangan trailer from what I've seen, it's basically a short version of the TGS trailer (although it does seem to have some new narration from an unidentified man).

New narration? Is this narration from a character in the film, or from one of the creators?

Have you seen and/or heard the AC section of the DVD, wilhelm?

I won't be getting my copy until next week, so I was only going on what FF7AC Reunion said about it. It just calls it 'a man's narration' without mentioning who it is (probably because it isn't known). It might just be a narrator like the English trailer. or one of the characters/the character they haven't revealed yet (there is apparently at least one character who hasn't appeared or being mentioned in the credits left, according to an interview with Famitsu PS2) doing a narration like Marlene's.

Famitsu said there's one more character to be revealed? :o Fascinating... I hadn't heard that before! Thank you! :D It'd be difficult to predict who that would be.

There are two trailers for Advent Children on the DVD. One is a condensed 1:38 version of the 4 min. TGS trailer. The second is the E3 2004 English trailer.

The condensed 1:38 min trailer seems to have a new narration and Tifa's role is limited to one scene (where she and Marin talk about Cloud in the church). At least Aerith appears.

As for the DG trailer, it's basically the same that was shown at TGS, but with a few different scenes.

Just to clarify, the narrator guy seems to be just that, some guy they got to narrate. He does the whole Compilation of FFVII section (introduction, AC trailer and Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus doesn't have any extra narration).

The narration mentions "the deathS irreplaceable friendS" who is the other friend?

I asked Wilhelm about the translation of "friends" and he says that the word can also refer to companions, comrades, partners, etc. (I lost the list of words you gave me, wilhelm... those are just the ones I remember)

Ahh, I just have to mention that I absolutely love Aerith's voice in the new trailer. Her voice actress has such a sweet voice that suits Aerith very well. ^_^

They better get someone as sweet to play her English voice, or else... :angry:

I agree... her voice is just perfect for Aerith. I hear the same VA has recorded songs in English, so I wouldn't mind it if she was the English VA for Aerith. She may have a bit of an accent, but that wouldn't bother me at all.
