Spoilers!



I finally (!) got to watch it yesterday (although I missed the beginning :( ) and I think that it deserves every bit of praise that it's gotten! I really enjoyed it, especially since I'm already a huge anime fan. Of course, Haku caught my attention right away, and I grew to like Chihiro later in the show. The ending left me a bit unsatisfied though; I don't want to think that Chihiro and Haku will never meet again! The 'love' between them is probably just sibling type simply because I don't think Chihiro's old enough for romance. Still, I would've liked to see it happen. All in all, I thought that it was a movie with a pretty decent plot! Comments?

Now I want to watch Princess Mononoke!

I liked Spirited Away. I actually checked on rottentomato.com, and it had 100% for a while. (Until it got...one bad review?)

But, you should definitly watch Princess Mononoke1 Its better, in my opinion.

I saw spirited away, but I stopped watching after that phantom guy gave gold away and ate people because i had to go home. well, what i saw, i liked.

Spirited away has to be one of my most favorite movies ever. It was so funny and yet so sad at the same time. I loved the [spoiler]Haku x Chihiro[/spoiler] scene. ^_^ It was so cute.

Yes I love the CxH-ness too! :fangirl: The ending made me sad though... :sad:


and the music in that movie is BEAUTIFUL!!! I should buy the soundtrack...^_^

Definitely! It reminded me of video game music, strangely enough, especially Chrono Cross. The animations were wonderful! I totally loved Haku's scene when he was getting attacked by those paper thingys. I'm surprised that they didn't cut off the blood (which looked realistic, by the way)on a PG show.

But what i do remember in the credits that the voice for Rikku in FFX1 she did a character but can't remember who it was and she did the song at the credits i think. :D

This movie was fantastic! I love the artwork. It's all so meaningful and artistic!

I have the soundtrack too! It really relaxes me. I listen to it when I take a bath! I'm not sure if that's on topic, but I'm feeling crazy today!
My favorite character was Yubaba (sp?) I think she's funny!

Lol, I loved Zeniba? O_o She was really nice. Great character.

:fangirl: I LOVE Spirited Away!!! Its one of my favorite movies! I have watched like over a million times!!! I wish they would make a sequel!!

I thought Spirited Away was a fantastic film. I loved the whole magical feeling you got from it, and the music was gorgeous! I especially liked the theme that played when Chihiro was on the train to 'Granny's'. Haku was my favourite character, he reminded me of Yuki from Furuba for some reason... Oh, you have to watch Princess Mononoke when you get the chance, it's absolutely brilliant. I love the little rattling Kodamas. ^_^

I saw Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind a couple of days ago and was sorely disappointed. It was the first film that Miyazaki made for his own studio, that's what they said anyway. I can't believe how much they changed the movie from the original manga storyline! The manga was brilliant, but the movie was...bleh. Spirited Away is so much better, even though I can't really tell why I like it so much.
