ooooh I remember reading about this game in a magazine, but never had enough money to go out and get it.
Is it any good?

yes its good i mean not the best it kinda reminds u of dark cloud 2 and final fantasy and actually the boy that u control in that game Jack he's personality reminds u of sora and cloud..and Ridley she reminds me of aerith and paine cause she is kinda cold to Jack at first cause she is the best knight/prinsess lol but then she starts to like him and its cute :fangirl:

Weirdest. Game. Ever.
I didn't like how they said you could interact with everything, but you kick stuff to obtain items. That was crazy...<_<

For which game you are talking about...? :lmao:

They're talking about the Square Enix game Radiata Stories (I'm assuming XD~).
I got to play this a few weeks back and... it's cute but I found it a bit hard to get fully into as the cinematic sequences are SO LONG (and there are an abundant amount of them too). So long in fact that it doesn't allow for much casual playing before hoping off to work and whatnot. It's like the new Xenosaga in terms of long, frequent cinematics.
And that Ridley Silverlake is a fiesty one, ain't she. I guess the creators were fans of Alien since her mother's name was like... Sigourney Silverlake (yknow, Sigourney Weaver... Ridley Scott...). XD~~

 One of my favorite games ever.
So much extra bosses to fight its insane. The final boss you can beat easily at level 55, but the HARDEST boss in the game is still insanely difficult to beat at level 99.
You can build up an army of people, basically. You can get hundreds of people to join you, though you choose four to form a team.

What I liked about it so much is that halfway through the game theres a plot point where you can choose to either follow Ridley and join the non humans or you can decided not to join her and stay with the humans. This is because there is a war between them and it completely changes the story (Except for the main plot / ending and twist of the game ) And I still haven't gone through it twice to figure out waht happens on the human side. heh :D
My current team is Jack, Ganz, Valkyrie and Gil. I can't use Ridley because of the ending plays out, but they are all level 93-99 and I haven't even beat the hardest boss. :P
After you beat the game and pick continue instead of a new game plus, you unlock a place called dragon lair, or something like that. Theres somewhere like 12 extra bosses. Here, let me name them.
Fire Dragon,
Water Dragon,
Wind Dragon,
Earth Dragon,
Gold Dragon,
Ultimate Dragon (Man is this guy strange)
Jacks Dad,
Valkyrie,
Some magic user guyy with glasses (Man I need to play more and remember there names)
Big brute guy with all glowing stuff on him,
HARDEST BOSS IN THE GAME Ethereal Queen,
Well theres 11, unless im forgetting one. But I started playing that place at about level 60, and going through there beating all the bosses its now all my characters are higher than level 90.
But, the jist (Jist?) of it is, I LOVE THIS GAME :D

AHAHAHA YAY THERE IS A THREAD FOR RADIATA STORIES!1'1'1'11!!!'11one
I LOVE this game. Okay, granted, I'm just about two quarters into it - where I've spent the past few nights running around recruiting random characters - but GODDAMIT this game is so WEIRD and FUN.
It is soooo annoying that there's so very many characters to recruit, and the time system (though realistic) can be extremely frustrating when you have to recruit your next character at, say, 3 AM and the current time is 6 PM and you're left with nothing to do.
Levelling up takes so frickin' long too, which is something I'm very lazy to do :P but the battle system is nice and simple, and I like being able to switch attacks. ^_^

Hmm, unlike Xenosaga - the cut scenes in Radiata Stories doesn't bother me at all - in fact I quite enjoy them, because they're all so FUNNY. :hyper: :lmao: And the voice acting is Perfect! Who loves Clive's voice acting AHAHAHA. Besides, you get a fair bit of time to yourself once you join Theater Vancoor, so it's not that bad?
Anyways, I just LOVE CLIVE!!! He's so frickin weird and funny I can't stand it. :lmao: And who loves Anastacia?!?! AHAHAH that woman looks like a whale, I tell you!! She belongs in the ocean, in the wild. :lmao:
And what abou Ridley?!?! :lmao:
Jack : "Wow, this guy's kinda weird."
Ridley : "He's not kinda weird. He's completely cuckoo."
:lmao: :lmao: I love that girl!!! Oh god, her sharp tongue. I haven't heard someone use the word 'cuckoo' in AGES!!!
But I really love this game - engaging storyline, interesting characters, and the backdrops are gorgeous - sort of the old-school 2D hand-drawn types, simply lovely! It feels so classic and old-school - reminds me of the good ol' RPG days when there were swords and magic and travelling by foot around the world, and exploring huge towns -- AND TELEPORTATION PIGS. You gotta love the teleportation pigs.
Yin LOVES this game, yes. Not putting it down anytime soon.

That game is fun. And it's cool that you get Valkyrie to join you from Valkyrie Profile. I also have that game. Expensive, but it's worth it.
