i'm not sure is SE meant to do this but...

When you go back to Midgar and go to Aeris' curch (after Aeris dies), you see her ghost near the flower beds. After an ancients death, as explained in the game, they're supposed to go to the promise land where they can find surpream happiness. Seeing Aeris' ghost near the flower beds, does and is that supposed to be a clue of where the "promise land" is? Then, in AC, you see Aeris at the end of movie in a huge flower field. SOOOO..does the scene where you see her ghost supposed to hint the whereabouts of the promise land and where Cloud could meet her?

Hmm..now that doesn't sound right..how i worded all of it...but u guys get wut i'm trying to say??

please comment and tell me wut you think =).

THe ghost is nothing more than a glitch, apparently.

Not definitely. This is from the FF7 Citadel:

Are these 'ghosts' just glitches, or were they deliberately added by Square?

Kind associate nofaith investigated the intricates of FFVII PC by accessing the Debug Room. Inside the Debug Room, he discovered a few peculiar options, displayed below.

Debug Room

If 'After Aeris's Death' is selected, the game will teleport Cloud to the Midgar Church, where you will see a polygon of Aeris tending the flowers. Should you try to leave the church, the polygon will stutter before vanishing permanently. What we can conclude from this? The 'ghost' of Aeris was deliberately added by Square.

This brings us to our next question. Why are there two versions of the 'ghost'? That, we do not know. It could be possible the PSX and PC versions of FFVII contain different ghosts. However, I have received reports from PSX owners they've seen Aeris tending the flowers, so this theory is flawed.

The only other theory is the 'ghost' appears in a position corresponding to how well you treated Aeris. If you treat her well, she may appear adjacent to the flower bed. If she is treated normally, perhaps she will only appear in the aisle. And if you treat her with contempt, perhaps she doesn't appear at all.

In conclusion, Aeris' ghost is not a glitch. It's purpose though, is unknown. Was it simply added to pull the emotional strings of the player, or did Square had something else planned? Whatever it is, the ghost is definitely no accident.

My thanks goes out to nofaith for this discovery.

The Citadel goes on to say that you will also see the "ghost" before Aerith's death if you go back to the Church in Disk One after Tseng kidnaps her. However, the image being in the Debug Room really seems to indicate that the image was purposely added by Square. I know that I thought while playing the game that Cloud really missed Aerith after she was kidnapped by Tseng. So if I went back to the Church after she got kidnapped in Disk One, I would think that an image of Aerith tending the flowers simply meant that Cloud was thinking of her. After her death, people would interpret the image as her ghost.

As for the Promised Land, Aerith ended up in the Lifestream after her death in MotP with the souls of humans like Hojo, Zack, and Dyne. That would make it appear that the Promised Land is in the Lifestream.

I dont know...the promise land being the life stream...i suppose that sounds accurate enough since the life strema is made up[ of peopleshave they die, but i dont know...maybe the promise lan dis more complex then we all think, maybe this game actually gives us adivce of rlife in general, to not worry, to love, and to never get up no matter. That even in the end after we die we all go to our own promise land, what we find the happiest place on earth, and maybe for Aeris it was the church, who knows...thats just what i think.

i think in this FFVII though it wasnt my favorite, i think that they were trying to give gamers advice about life...ya know. Thats just what i think.

but the ghost isnt a glitch...i know its not
