Anybody watch/read or at least heard of Full Moon wo Sagashite?

It is an AWESOME anime, it's so touching, and is so sad at times.

Lots of Japanese music, it just rocks!!!!!!

(And for those of you who are reading this, the anime only came out in Japan. The manga is currently out in America--but I'm not sure where else.)

I prefer the anime over the manga. The voices and music was awesome and it was just so good!!!!

I prefer the manga over the anime. Currently the manga is more hard hitting than the anime. It's much darker and sadder than the anime.
^_~ I currently own 4 volumes of Full Moon Wo Sagashite. T_T it's now called Full Moon O Sagashite so the translation doesn't say Searching For The Full Moon.

I loved the FMwS manga (never seen the anime). It was unexpectedly dark and many times it made me tear up.

All of the shinigami had such [spoiler alert for random FMwS manga volumes cause I honestly can't remember what story was featured in what chapter] <<sad pasts... Izumi's past in particular tore me up, although Mero-chan's was no laughing matter either. Seeing her clutch her wrist as she remembered the way she slashed it made me want to cry, as did seeing little Izumi/Rio standing in the middle of the traintracks, ready to give his life so that his mother could be at peace (when in truth, all that he wanted was for her to love him)>>. I really, really love the way that Tanemura-sensei narrates her manga. It really tends to pull on my heartstrings whenever she gets into the angst.

On a lighter (or maybe not-so-light note, considering...), Eichi x Mitsuki is my OTP.<3

Yes I just got the 4th volume.....This series can be so sad......

The anime is much more cheerful than the manga, but the manga seems a bit more developed and I like the ending much better, although I think both have their merits. I didn't read the American release, but I read the whole manga series, so my OTP's are a tad different than yours Key. xD

I've never seen the anime or read the Viz-released manga either, Matekko. ;) I thought the ending for FMwS was a bit rushed, but I liked it nonetheless. The very last part where Eichi-kun << reaches desperately from the sky to Mitsuki with tears in his eyes actually made me lol though because it looked so random and out there.>>.

Really though, I like all the pairings in the manga (even Takuto x Mitsuki though I woulda preferred Takuto x Meroko... hell, I like Izumi with Mero-chan too). The way Tanemura-sensei maps out relationships, it's easy to fall in love with several at once.

My one gripe with the series would be that all the girls look alike. With anything Tanemura (have the same problem with Shinshi Doumei Cross too, although not nearly as much as I did with FMwS), I seem to have a problem with discerning characters by just their faces--especially the females. @.@ Sometimes Meroko, Mitsuki, Madoka, and even Ooshige-san look the same.

Ah, I see, I apologize for assuming--but I guess, my OTP's are different regardless. I absolutely love Izumi x Meroko and am fond of Takuto x Mitsuki, but I think Eichi x Mitsuki is absolutely adorable as well. I'm not really much of a fan of Takuto x Meroko, except as unrequited, unfortunately. D:

I do agree about your point on relationships however. Although, I must say from other series, I am quite a pairing whore. :lol:

I don't have many gripes with the series, although I do agree her art style can get a bit--repetititve. XD

Ah, Full moon ! I loved that series. The anime is awesome. I even bought the dvd collection off Ebay ^__^;;. I loved the couplings and the anime was great! I loved the music. My favorite songs are Eternal Snow, Love Chronicle, Smile, Myself, Mero mero change.

Izumi x Meroko is the best! (Right next to Takuto x Mitsuki of course!) Ooshige x Wakouji was really cute too. But personally I preferred the Meroko, Izumi thing. I even liked the one-sided Takuto x Meroko. ^__^ This series is truely a great one. I loved the ending of the manga. It made me cry so much. I read all the manga online already and have bought the current four volumes that have been released here. Hehe, Full Moon is so amazing and the artwork was beautiful! :D

The music is awesome in the anime!!!!!

The manga is sooo much more depressing...but it's still awesome, as well as the artwork...

*waves at AmayaSaria* Mitsuki was so hard to figure out in the manga. It was really surprising when I read about Eichi's...yeah..I don't want say it since I think some people might have not read that far..-_-;;. But it was sad! :o

Yea the manga turned out WAY different than I expected. I saw the anime first, then noticed the books out in stores, so I bought them. It sooo much sadder, and Mitsuki is a little bit more negative in this one....

So yeah.... :D

But I LOVE the music from the anime. I wish they had those songs in the manga....the manga songs are alright, it's just not the same....

I should buy the soundtracks for this too....I need money....::sweatdrop::

The manga that was translated and dubbed out was ok, they just got the song name wrong. I downloaded the scans off Bit Torrent and saw a big difference. >_<

Izumi and Meroko are such a sad and cute couple.

One of my favorite scenes is when Mitsuki sings Myself and Takuto gives her those wings...I get willy chillies everytime!!!!!!!

I remember one time in the anime Takuto gets mad when Mistuki was talking about Eichi so he flew off. While he was flying, he was shaking his fists towards the sky saying, "Eichi, Eichi, Eichi!" Even though it was in Japanese, he sounded like he was Italian.... :D

LMAO, it's so cute though. Those two are completely adorable. xD
