There's a rumor going around that SE and NIntendo have settled their differences and are working on a project......which happens to be a remake of FFVII for the Nintendo DS.....Originally FFVII was meant to be for the Nintendo 64 however Sony bought it off..... thus it is easy to remake the game's code in a DS format following the sequence of the 64........

Hmm, methinks its a rumor. I'd rather not see it remade for DS...or even ported over, which would be worst. If it'd be remade, it'd be remade for PS3.

Heheh, sorry, I'll be honest, I didn't read the thing. But with the news alone, I hope doesn't happen. I know one final fantasy is being completely remade for the DS...um, FFVI I think.

EDIT: Oh, and the 'that SE and Nintendo has settled their differences...' makes it seem even more like a rumor being disguised as real, seeing as they have settled their differences a long time ago with Crystal Chronicals, Tactics Advance, Dawn of Souls, and the other FFs coming out for GBA/DS. (III, IV, and VI)

and yeah...FFIII and IV are being remade as well that much I know is official

I'm, sorry but I really think that's a whole load of bull. The remade VII on DS? That's just not possible because the DS doesn't hold the qualities for a proper VII remake and I'm sure Noruma would want to use the more powerful machine the PS3 for something like the legendary Final Fantasy VII.

I read in the newspapers that FFIV for the Gameboy Advance is being released today or this week. I never even heard of it before this though. Anyway, I hope FFVII isn't going to be made for the DS; it's such a Playstation game!

I know...... but I have 2 disagree with some of you who said it CAN'T be done....it surely can!!!! FFVII was meant originally 4 the N64 .....however sony bought it off ;)

Which one? The original or american version. :unsure: If its the American version, Well, that still kinda sucks because I love FF4, 6 and 7. I don't like seeing it go portible and stuff like that.

I kinda think the world of Video Gaming is declining these days because of all these sequels and remakes and stuff like that. Its like no one has an original idea anymore. Take a look at Mario Baseball and Mario Striker. They were good games but they shows that Nintendo is already downfalling. I know there are some good games out there that are original but its not like..."WOW!" sort of thing. <_<

Well, I guess its on how the game is made. It can be good or bad, depending on how the company works on it. I actually enjoy playing Mario strikers,not a big fan of baseball though.
I dunno but I don't think it shows that Nintendo is on their downfall. I think it as more of a bargain of trying to see how the audience will react to it. Good or bad, the company will still take the remarks and either strengthen their position or not.

FFVII for DS is probably not a bad idea. If it does come to DS, I would totally support it. The way SE is ripping FFVII the original apart is no surprise because what they see is cha-ching in their pockets regardless of how fans/gamers feel about it.

I would like to see FF7 on PS3 with the amazing graphics on a bigger screen than on a DS. I hope SE does remake FF7 (with VAs and improved graphics)...on a PS3!
