I don't know if any of you guys noticed, but Cloud is wearing a pink ribbon on his right bicep in KH2! :woot: Here is a picture where you can see it really clearly:



What could it mean? Yuffie also has pink ribbons on her shuriken in KH2. A lot of people are freaking out thinking that Aerith has died, but I don't think S-E would pull a stunt like that. Plus, the fact that the pink ribbon has moved from Cloud's left arm, where it would be hidden by his sleeve, to his right arm, where it is clearly visible, could mean that the ribbon is there for a different reason. For example, rather than wearing pink ribbons to honor Aerith's death, like in AC, Cloud and Yuffie could be wearing them because Aerith has been kidnapped or has gone missing. Does anyone know if any of the other FF characters are wearing them? Aerith knew all of the ones from Hollow Bastion. :ermm:

Anyways... thoughts? Theories?

Those pink ribbons have to be related to something concerning Aeris and Cloud's side quest. Maybe Aeris has some secret important ablilty or knows something important and the organization kidnapped her with Sephiroth's help? :ermm: Or... maybe Aeris mysteriously disappeared and Cloud is trying to search for her? He has to find his light again! And in order to find her... he has to confront Sephiroth? Oh oh oh! *jumps up and down excitedly* Aeris is cursed and Cloud must find a way to break the curse. :fist:

Maybe that's Cloud's sidestory? To rescue his light from the evil Sehpy! I mean think about, since now Cloud and Aerith have been reunited, we were told that Cloud was having his own sidestory, nothing related to the KHII side story. And since maybe seeing that picture of his and Sehpy, maybe Sephiroth has kidnapped Aerith because he knows that's how he'll get to Cloud!

I figure it's just something to remind him about Aerith. Like how Leon has the wings on the back of his jacket like Rinoa does on her duster, Cloud has a pink ribbon.

In AC Yuffie had two pink ribbons one on her upper left arm and one on her weapon, now in KHII she only has it on her weapon. So I don't think Aerith dies or anything, I just think Nomura prefers the design, much like how Aerith's necklace was slightly changed from FFVII to KH and AC.

Well, in the commercial where Yuffie shouted "abunai!", no pink ribbon strapped in her arm.

In Devotion, Clorith posted a picture of Cloud from KH2. It was not of very good quality, but it really didn't look like Cloud was wearing a ribbon at all. :huh: So, I tried cleaning up the picture I have and it still looks like he is wearing a ribbon! :blink: What do you guys think? Ribbon or no ribbon? :unsure:

It does look like a ribbon when you think about it...but if you looked away for a few minutes and then looked back at it...it kind of looks like a cut. Got to remember that he's fighting Sephy here :unsure: But that could just be me...

Yes, the pink ribbon was on his left arm in AC. I thought maybe they had changed it to the right to keep people from freaking out thinking Aerith had died. :P I don't know why he is wearing the sleeve... :unsure:

Good eye, Clerith-son! :o I saw the bandages and automatically thought it was the Buster Sword, but the latest screens shows it looks different.

As for why there are all these changes, I stand by my theory that it's simply the design Nomura prefers. I think the AC outfit, simply said, looks cooler with that sleeve on, and that it's why Nomura's using it in KH again. In AC it was a plot device; in KH2 it will be simply for aesthetic purposes. xD
