Title: Not Confrimed Yey But..
Description: yunna rikku

Ally McBeal - November 28, 2005 11:13 AM (GMT)

Supposedly "Chicken Little" will be a summon. He attacks with a baseball bat. His abilities are Pitching and Cracker.(????)

Also Yuna and Riku appear to be a summon as well.(Makes sense since they're so tiny)

that' can't be true  :lmao:
source www.kh2.co.uk

Kuki Prower - November 28, 2005 11:56 AM (GMT)
Yuna and Rikku as a summon? :lmao: There's NO way Noruma would do that right?

FF_Goddess - November 28, 2005 04:54 PM (GMT)
That is so damn lame.... <_<

Sefie - November 28, 2005 10:55 PM (GMT)
I can believe Yuna and Rikku being a summon, but Chicken Little hasn't been out long enough to have been popular enough. Besides, wouldn''t something like that already need to be programmed in? The movie's only been out like 3 weeks.

Also, Yuna and Rikku may NOT be summons. Nomura hinted at there being many FF characters in Hollow Bastion and I really suspect that's where they are in that scene.

Materia Thief - November 29, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
As some of you know, there is a rumor going out about summoning Chicken Little. His attacks are as followed: "attack pitching" and "the cracker". o_0 He attacks with a baseball bat.

Also, that Yuna and Rikku are to appear. They are known as "Yuripa" in the blog.
Edit: From my understanding, "Yuripa" means in the FF world: Yuna, Rikku, and Paine. Am I correct? (Yes) In the English versions, they were known instead as "YRP."

Personally, I don't think the "Chicken Little" rumor is true. Firstly, it'll be a nightmare for me in terms of Chicken Little. >_> Besides the fact that I never saw the movie, I just never liked the concept of Disney's step into the CGA world.

From KH-2.net

FF_Goddess - November 29, 2005 07:19 PM (GMT)
Yuna and Rikku were confirmed, but Paine never was. This makes no sense. Stitch was confirmed to be a summon, but Yuna and Rikku were not. I am not going to believe this until I see more solid proof. -_-

Ally McBeal - November 30, 2005 08:54 AM (GMT)
LATEst NEWS:

The appearance of YuRiPa are small because they're part of a fairy race.
:o ....

Lynn - November 30, 2005 09:35 AM (GMT)
The post with that news also had some rather badly-translated parts, though, so I'd wait for a clearer translation first before deciding how to react over that. xD

I mean, can you really trust a translation that says Raijin will be voiced by someone called "Rio de Janeiro"? ...Isn't that the name of a place?

wilhelm - November 30, 2005 02:03 PM (GMT)
It's supposed to be Rio Natsuki, Japanese voice actor for Lulu in Final Fantasy X. (Wakka's is playing Rai as well.)

The fairy thing isn't a mistranslation, though. That's what the message boards said.

Paine, and the Chicken Little summon are confirmed now as well.

That really sucks. <_< I was hoping to see some lovely Tiduna moments!!!! Overall, this whole lot of info sounds incredibly lame. Maybe it won't seem that way when I play the game, though.

Kuki Prower - November 30, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
So they REALLY are summons!? That is just wrong! Oh my god! No Tiduna moments!?

~Fury Brand~ - November 30, 2005 04:14 PM (GMT)
Look on the bright side, at least if Tidus is in the game, even if Tidus and Yuna have no moments, two parts of a cannon FF couple will be in the game :) And if Rinoa and Aerith *are* confirmed

Lynn - November 30, 2005 04:16 PM (GMT)

...Okay, I guess now we can panic.

Thanks for clearing things up, wilhelm! For some reason, the idea of Chicken Little in the game somehow feels worse than than YuRiPa being fairies. ;_;

At this point, is it still a rumour or has it been confirmed in the magazine? A miscommunication somewhere? Somehow I still can't imagine them being "fairies" in the sense that we know them. That seems too way out even for SE.

QUOTE

Remember what we'd all heard about AC's ending? That sounded pretty lame in writing too, but I reckon it wasn't nearly as bad when watching it ourselves.

Anti-R - November 30, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
Heh... I like Chicken Little, think he's cute... because my sister and I had a history with poultry when we were young... anyways, Chicken Little is also voiced by Zach "JD Dorian of Scrubs" Braff, who happens to be one of my favorite characters of said TV series, which I happen to be a slave of.

YuRiPa being a summon is surprising... and quite ironic, really.

No, the summon thing was a misconception from a Japanese site. Someone gave them info about summons and YuRiPa (two seperate things), and the site owner mistook it for them being summons as well.

QUOTE (Lynn)

They said it came from an interview in a magazine (Hyper Playstation 2 IIRC, and I think the same thing was mentioned in Dorimaga as well).

So, they're NOT summons? IZ TEH CONFUZED... :ermm:

Kuki Prower - November 30, 2005 07:58 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm confused now. So are they characters or these fairy things we've been hearing about?

wilhelm - November 30, 2005 08:13 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (FF_Goddess @ Nov 30 2005, 08:39 PM)
So, they're NOT summons?

No.

Putting it in a convenient little timeline:
- The webmaster of FFXII Expo gets some information about a Chicken Little and Stitch summons, and YuRiPa
- Webmaster mistakenly takes it as meaning YuRiPa are summons as well, when it was a different topic, and updates their site. This is when it's taken up by English fansites as well
- The person who gave the info wrote to them again, saying that they'd made a mistake, and the webmaster corrects it
- New magazine articles and interviews confirm that YuRiPa appear, and say the reason they're small is because basically they're appearing as fairies in the game. Going on the second hand info I've got from Japanese BBS, I don't think they're mentioned anything about them being summons, just that they're in the game as characters, albeit fairy ones

Real_Emotion - November 30, 2005 09:48 PM (GMT)
YuRiPa fairies...?? I don't like the idea of my beloved Yunie as a fairy. I had thought she and Rikku had appeared small because Square just made them younger... but... fairies??!

And the Chicken Little Summon?! Disney iz teh publicity whores! <_< *pouts*

Oddishness - November 30, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
This all sounds REALLY strange. Fairies??? I didn't want fairies...I wanted Aerith...

Anti-R - December 1, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
I do believe in fairies. XD

Fairies from Hollow Bastion? 0.o;

FF_Goddess - December 1, 2005 06:46 PM (GMT)
Fairies...? <_< Honestly... :bored:

Wilhelm... is there any chance that the word "fairies" is a mistake? They look so much like little kids, like Selphie, Wakka, and Tidus at Destiny Islands...

Dorimaga info (edited)
by Tomogirl on 29 Nov 2005 @ 10:46 pm (www.kh-2.net)

The interview with Nomura revealed...

• The appearance of YuRiPa are small because they're part of a fairy race.

• The Japanese VAs for Fuijin and Raijin are Kazuya Nakai and Rio Natsuki. (Both VAs from FFX.)

• Sora is holding Stitch in Hawaii in a summoning process.

• The mystery form is said that the use of frequency is low.

• Yensid is the King's master going according to the movie (Fantasia).

• You will encounter the book of Pooh by Yensid.

• The 100' Acre Woods can be enjoyable and has improved greatly. It'll be like a ride in Disneyland. (In Tokyo Disneyland, their Pooh ride is in a gigantic honey pot that moves by magnetic force. It's different than its American counterpart which is a rocking seat.)

• The Oganization member isn't a boss character therefore, he can't go to a world by himself, due to the fact that he's always moving around here and there. It isn't simple either.

• The members defeated from CoM don't appear.

The current playable character, BHK, has a sad and painful story.

• The King is a character who is more than what we imagine him to be and he's delicious as usual. (Ahhh.. I don't think Nomura actually said that meaning, but that's what the translator got. "Delicious!")

• Kairi moves in seperation. (?)

• While you are flying in the gummiship, Chip and Dale will give you advice. Not in the form of text, but, actual voices this time.

• A new mystery arises within this game's storyline. It's up to you to solve it!

Dorimaga: Will Riku be found this time?

Nomura: It is the best point in the story. (There, I think that's what he meant.)

Dorimaga: Who is the boy of mystery? (BHK)

Nomura: "Play his true colors by all means... " (laughter)

Last bit of info...

• Hades talks often this time. He is terrible and strong.

• It is possible to revert, or expect, the Beast back to his human form.

• To battle with the magic carpet is interesting.

Source: 2ch message board
Special thanks: vilaeth for correcting some of the translations, and Mike, for deciphering the "beast" bullet point.

^_^ I understand the sentences better now. One of them was pretty obvious. ...... *bangs head against the wall many times* >_< Oiiii.
Extra edit: -_-; I should practice on deciphering broken translation that seemed almost obvious.

Nomura finally talks about Riku :fangirl: Best point of the story! :hyper:
BHK has a sad past :( Well, comforting point is, I'm sure BHK will have hoards of fangirls at the end of KH2 :P
The king is delicious! :lmao: I told ya King Mickey rules  (translational error? Maybe wilhelm can give a better explanation lol)

Sefie - December 2, 2005 01:36 AM (GMT)
 FAIRIES?

Anti-R - December 2, 2005 04:31 AM (GMT)
Mickey Mouse is delicious. LOL... Nomura and his strange bentos...

OK, YuRiPa are from a FAIRY RACE (kinda like Elves in different cultures, they're usually referred as fairies too). But before we go off the lid, maybe we should see this in the game, maybe it's not as stupid as it sounds.

Luna-Nayru - December 2, 2005 04:33 AM (GMT)
...Fairies.

...
...
...

...BWAHA! GOD DOES LOVE ME! *dances* That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. And Squenix will make it rock. I mean, would PAINE put up with being a FAIRY without inflicting some...PAIN? Come on, you can't deny that watching them fly in fro the YRP pose will be awesome. Except...they'll be fairies. Well, I'll just say I'm interested to see how Squenix will pull this off.

And don't nobody go hatin' on mah Chicken Little! Poor little guy gets no love.

Anti-R - December 2, 2005 04:43 AM (GMT)
I love Chicken Little... well, his voice, actually (Zach Braff fangirl), but how can you hate him with his cute little glasses and his giant head?

Agreed. Let's not readily assume the worst, people (which, I realise, sounds strange coming from the Queen of Pessimism that is myself...)! I'm gonna wait until we know how this works out in the game itself, or at least to get a clearer scan first.

They could be from a magical fairy world? *gets bricked* Doesn't look like all FF characters have to come from Hollow Bastion, though.

He knows who the fangirls are waiting for. :P

Aww, poor BHK. I'm quite certain he's already developed one heckuva fandom by now, anyway. Dual-wieldiness is smexy. And a convoluted past will only help that fandom take over KH2!

QUOTE
Kairi moves in seperation. (?)

According to KHInsider, it means Kairi will be doing some moving around on her own. Perhaps she'll have her own storyline that coincides with Sora's later on... and maybe she'll have Selphie, Wakka and Tidus travel with her!

Thanks, wilhelm! Life would be so much better if I could magically learn to read Japanese within 90 days (as this book I have claims I can <_<), but as it is, I keep having to depend on you. :huggle:

Hehe. Chicken Little seriously amused me because a lot of the characters reminded me of people I know. Foxy Loxy was ingenious. She's just like my best friend--watch the movie and you'll see just what kind of insane people I hang out with. :lmao:

Oh, I would just flip if that happened. To see Kairi kick some tail with the help of Selphie's nunchaku, Wakka's blitzball, and Tidus's good ol' Brotherhood sword would make my life complete. I'm dying for at least Kairi to be playable. It's just so inevitable that it will happen in KH2. I mean, a "story of her own" would not be complete unless they got rid of her good old damsel in distress image and let her in on the action. I'm still a believer that it's Kairi who says, "This time...I"ll fight." ^_^

Fairies are my homies. :bikey:

Do you mean this one from 2003?

Which, by the way, I love very much. The one who played Peter really deserved a huge glomp, he is so pretty!!! :fangirl:
I didn't like Wendy in this show too much as well, my main problem is that she could have been prettier :hide: Peter's prettiness overshadowed her
