A thread in the venting section began to drift off-topic when the subject of porn sprung up, so I decided to move some of the key comments here if anyone wants to continue the discussion. ^_^

Too true! Fanfiction.net has some very disgusting things on it, I know! I've read quite a few actually because I don't pay any attention to the ratings they give, but some writers that are female have a thing for writing yaoi, or stories with a lot of sex.

As to the rest, I only have a few things to say. I, being a girl (and only 13) pretty much hate it everytime some porn pop up jumps onto my screen, or when some late late late night porn show pops up on TV. I went on a link once, and anime porn was everywhere. I clicked that off pretty fast! Another time on the internet, I clicked a link and there were thousands of pop-ups. Simple to say, that bugged me a lot. I have some pretty strong morals, even if I am only 13. Ill post later im at school bell about to ring bye!

I agree and disagree. ^_^ It is wrong, as we, as humans, our nature is to sin and do wrong. We all do things wrong, because our conscience is there telling us that we are. However, you can hate porn. Porn, in my view, is wrong and disgusting. But hey, those are my views, if anyone else has a different opinion I respect that. :) Looking at uncovered men and women is wrong in God's eyes, so if you hate porn, you hate that wrongdoing, or that particular sin. I hate sin fullstop. So I guess you could say that I hate porn. ^_^

Hating porn doesn't mean that it isn't tempting. Temptations can be huge; to satisfy human flesh. <_< But our tired old bodies still have the ability to say no.

Quite true, and yes, quite true! :lol: Girls can be just as bad as boys, and both genders can hate it. But some girls and boys let hormones rule their lives. Take Ikky for example. :whistle: Joke. :lol:

Like Trisha said, when ever I go to a website, and there's a porn advertisement, I almost scream, and quickly click away or refresh the page before my parents can have a chance to see. Parents assume the worst; mine do anyway. :lol:

I hate porn myself. I'm the "tasteful nudity" type. The rest is pure garbage and I don't see how anyone could get turned on watching it. I mean, it's the same as watching the Discovery channel with animals having sex. I don't see what is so great about it.

But then again, I could just be speaking through my lack of need for it. :lmao:

But seeing animals having sex in National Geographic is quite interesting. I love this episode where this many male bees chases the queen bee, as soon as the winner does his deed, so to speak, he loses his stinger so its sperm would stay within the queen and he drops dead on the ground. It was SO cool.

Anyways, porn is just that... crude sex that it almost looks painful. It degrades both male and female involved in there, IMHO.

I don't watch porn, but I do like to read sexy stories. :angel: I guess it's because porn films leave absolutely nothing to the imagination, whereas with reading novels you can let your imagination run wild. I like that. And when the writer's got real talent, I think novels can be far, far more of a turn on than porn.

I view porn as something that we should not watch. Porn is degrading the people in it. All it shows is that the people in it just needed some quick one-nighter or something and then decided to share it with the world. Its nothing but trash I think. But, beings humans, we are tempted to watch it, seemings its simply human nature.

Novels, fanfiction, books, stuff like that is sometimes ok. I read a new book recently and there were some sex scenes, but it was one of the best books I've ever read. Fanfictions, well they are a differant story. Some will have sex in almost every chapter, and that can get annoying, even if the rest of it is really good.

Just you you MB, I DO like to read stories that have sex in them. It all just depends if the writer is good and the plot is. Its hard to find some good things but I find that a good writer can create a really emotion and passionate sex scene. Fanfiction, its hard to find them, there isn't much good yaoi writers out there! :lmao:

Being gay myself, I like yaoi and shounen-ai, especially when it involves my favourite pairing! Sexy Truten action! ^_^

I don't expect to find sexy stories, yet they do amuse me at times. :sweat: I just don't get easily turned on; it's just real interesting how the writer's imagination goes further. Porn is just like... fierce actions, nothing passionate or affectionate or ANYTHING. :ermm: I admit, I love romantic stories, and I find porno rather cheap and just straightforward entertainment for hormone-crazed animals.

I will admit that I watch some rated R movies that have that find of stuff in it, but if you think about it, it's never for that long. And I will read the sexy fanfiction because I love to laugh at them, but some of them are actually good. lol. But I hate porn! Most of the girls are fake and some of the guys... I have nothing to say because you never know how a guy really swings. Same with a girl. Please take no offence to that if you are that way, I meant no harm.

I just read the first topic, and I feel as a human scum, hehe. Well, anyways, it is normal if girls hate porn, due to her psique, since it is in some ways,different from guys, and viceversa.

As I've already said, I don't like porn, but the fact that I don't like it, doesn't make me hate it, but there I'm just talking for myself, and not for anyone else. But besides myself, I know so many guys (friends of mine or guys I just know) with different perspectives regarding porn, and none of them showed that anyone of them hated porn, disliked maybe, but not hate it.

Also, in most cases, a guy won't just tell a girl, he likes porn, it is a bolded rule in the un-written book of the rules of attraction, or simply common sense, if you don't want to be taken or remembered as a perv.

I hate the fact that it's so accessible! I don't want to see my 13 year old brother watching porno on my mac.... :puke: *shudder* I mean, for adults to watch porno movies in their bedrooms alone...that's their business, I really don't have a problem with that. But so many young kids are exposed to pornography and it bothers me...

Actually Zhakeena, by definition that is impossible. Pornography is supposed to be the unartistic depiction of human beings in such a way as to incite arousal. Or something very, very similar to that. I know the unartistic part was important, the rest I'm a little hazy on. I read it in Dave Egger's A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. Good book by the way.

On another note, artistic nudity is most definitely possible, and there is a varying degree of dignity even within the realm of pornography. I can't deny I watch and own some pornography, but I'm never particularly happy about it, nor do I really think the industry is much of a good thing. Particularly with it's implications on the sex slave industry throughout the world.

However some urges are harder to resist than others.
