Alright... I don't know how many of you would remember this... And hey, maybe it just happened to me but...

Okay... I'm going to ask you to do a littel FFVII flashback for me...

Location: Wallmarket (I think thats what it was called) In front of the Honeybee Inn...


Was I the only one who got jealous when you get out of the Honeybee Inn for the first time everyone surrounds Aeris... (This isn't the jealous part yet)... When you talk to everyone... They just have a comment about Aeris or whatever... Now go to Johnny(You see him several times in the game if you actually pay attention)...

He says thank you for the flower and 1 gil to Aeris...

OMG! She gave him a free flower and the 1 Gil that I gave her in the beginning...

Come on... She charges me 1gil for a flower... Yeah I know its not much but come on... She gives some other guy a free flower AND the gil I gave her... I swear I felt like I got slapped in the face by Aeris...

Anyone remember this part and/or felt any sort of jealously towards Johnny here?

Hmm. No, I wasn't really jealous.

I think Aerith felt that Johnny needed the flower and gil, to get his self confidence up. You can tell he had low self esteem from the beginning, unlike Cloud. So I think Aerith was being a sweetheart doing that for him. It wasn't out of true love or anything like that. :)


And besides. Aerith was trying to make a living in the beginning. So naturally, she charged Cloud. But later on when she's in your party, she had axcess to a few thousand gil (depending on how much you fought before the Wall Market). What's one gil to give away for her now? :P

That's how I saw it, too. Aerith was just doing that because of Johnny's low self-esteem so that he could get his confidence up. IIRC, I think Johnny was buying the flower to give to one of the girls in the Honeybee Inn. :unsure:

Aerith was charging all the other guys about 500 gil for the flowers. :lmao: She just felt bad for Johnny and thought he needed some help.

It's not like Aerith was flirting with Johnny. If anything, Tifa did that with Johnny in Costa del Sol when she made Cloud leave because she wanted to talk to Johnny alone in his apartment. :whistle2:

yeah johny was a real lozer so i think i wouldve done the same if i saw him lol :P

but yeah...I dunno but I never likedthat Johnny guy he was such a loser ..and word fighting Cloud didn't help one bit...<_<

I did find it funny though when Cloud found Tifa and Johnny talking at Costa
de Sol and Tifa asked him to leave so she could talk to him. A CloTi friend of
mine said that at this time, Cloud was jealous...but I don't remember seeing
any hints about it.

No, he wasn't jealous. :rolleyes: And, actually, I found it funny that Tifa would ask Cloud to leave when she was talking to Johnny, her real childhood friend. Just goes to show that Cloud wasn't considered part of her little group. :whistle:

Why would I feel like I got slapped in the face by Aerith? :blink:

As for Johnny's character, it can't be that bad if Aerith liked him and wanted to cheer him up.

i thpught it was sweet....i think that aeris knew jonny was clouds friend, so she gave him a flower and a gil because of this....and in costa del sol, i remember that tifa said:

cloud, please, i want to be alone with jonny, we are talking about our childhood

so....cloud was not a friend or what?

Technically, no. Cloud was NEVER part of Tifa's group. That is stated in the Lifestream Event. Tifa was the one to admit it, I believe, that they, "Lived next door to each other, but didnt know one another that well." So no, they never were childhood friends, nor were they childhood sweethearts. I'd say you have to know someone to be their friend.

Awww be nice to poor johnny, and he did those things when he was young as you can see he isn't like that anymore towards Cloud. I feel bad for the poor guy myself lol

I would consider that MY one gil... She gave away the gil I gave to her... I got jealous of that.

I agree with that. When it comes down to it, Johnny was a loser in pretty much all areas.

She might have also just did it to show up the other guys that were hitting on her. She charged some of them outrangeously.

He goes into a Brothel, takes Aerith with him, and manages to look sexier then Tifa AND Aerith to Don Corneo.

Yes, poor Cloud indeed. On my first playthrough as an owner of a copy of FF7, I purposely made him dressed up REAL good.

On-topic: I don't feel jealous of Johnny, as I see Aerith being nice to him since she can tell he have low self-esteem and helped him by giving the flower and 1 gil.
