I don't think so. It makes absolutely no sense to me. It's not to say that Cid and Yuffie are unimportant, but that's... come on, that's Aerith. Aerith. xD

It would've been different had she not appeared in KH at all, but she did, and I see absolutely no reason to take her out and keep Cid and Yuffie in. I would've been more worried had she been in that scan, actually, because that would imply that her role is restricted to rebuilding Hollow Bastion. *wants something bigger for Aerith that's preferably related to Cloud*

When Nomura said "some", he may be referring to Tidus and Wakka, who may not reappear. Or Nomura might not want to spoil any surprises they have in store for the KH cameos. :P

And yes, Yuffie and Sora are adorable! I shall be slightly rabid and draw conclusions from how Sora initially mistook Yuffie for Kairi in KH as potentially Yuffie/Sora! :fangirl:

I posted the translations for those who were wondering what was going on in those scans. It looks like Yuffie and Cid will be Sora's gateway to the TRON world.

I know there's no mention of Aerith just yet. This gives me hope that she will have a role bigger than staying behind in Hollow Bastion. :aeris: I would completely die if she were really travelling with Cloud and Leon, though!

I think if Tifa WAS in KH2, she would have been introduced either before, or in this scan. Aerith on the other hand, well... given the way they marketed her for AC, and given the fact that she was in CoM (which leads into KH2) and given the fact that Leon, Yuffie, Cloud, and Cid (all the characters Aerith interacted with) are all back, it makes NO SENSE for Aerith not to appear. No sense at all. I'm with Lynn here. My anticipation for Aerith has shot through the roof.

Even the TRON world is likely the "surprise" the Buena Vista site was talking about (Buena Vista apparently produced the movie before it was absorbed by Disney).

I think AC!Cid wore something extremely similar to what he wore in FFVII, so I guess he didn't get many changes in KH either (if any). Aerith's AC outfit is basically her FFVII outfit, so if we're lucky, maybe we'll get a new variation of her outfit in KH2!

something has been bothering me...if you look closely at yuffie's shuriken, she has a pink ribbon tied around one of the handles. what might this imply...i don't know. i just hope SE won't do something drastic and have Aerith get killed by Sephiroth (again) in KH2. that would just suck major ass.

regardless, Aerith is obviously going to be in KH2. She was in KH and KH:CoM and since Nomura said that characters from those two games would reappear in KH2, so i really wouldn't worry about not seeing Aerith. the only thing i'm worried about is in what kind of scenario do we see her?

having tifa in kh2 would be.....iffy. we need more lovin' for all those other FF characters (presumably FF10 or 8). hell, i would rather have Rinoa appear in KH2 than Tifa, just because Tifa's presence might ignite another LTD debate <_<

KH2 is set to be released in Japan in December. However, I pre-ordered it from Amazon.com and the ship date is listed as March 2nd. ;)

I am still unsure about this whole TRON business. It looks rather lame. :unsure:

Anyway, I'm not that interested in KH2 honestly. I'll play pretty much just for Cloud because I don't care much for the Disney characters or Sora. What I would like to see is Tifa and Aeris having their own little scenes together. :lol: But Tifa being in this game would feel like fanservice a bit.

I'm not sure if Cloud will definitely have a ribbon under that sleeve, though. It could just be that Nomura thought his outfit looked cooler with the sleeve on and decided to keep it for KH2. :P And now I've started wondering whether he still has that shiny claw from the first game.

Anyway. One theory I saw was that Aerith might've lost her heart to the Heartless, hence the side-story involving Cloud. It's an interesting theory, although I feel too important a story for cameos. But if you can get Auron in your team, I guess Nomura might be letting up slightly on the strictly-cameo rule.

There's a lot of concern over whether Aerith DIES again. That's just BULL in my opinion. Square would be committing Aerith-fan-suicide if they did that. XD And they're *not* that stupid. Sides, everything points towards Aeris being in KH2, the sites all confirm Mandy Moore is voicing Aerith again, and Maaya as well. o_O I don't think we have much to worry about as far as Aerith being IN KH2, more like, what will her scenario involve? And is Tifa in KH2?

Although I hear a lot of rumors about Rinoa being in Kh2. Maybe Aerith and Rinoa will go off and do their own thing? It's not far-fetched, remember the Itadaki art of them together? XD But if Tifa's in KH2... what if she's... Leon's love interest? :o She looks like Rinoa! It's possible.

Agreed, I see the possibility of Aerith actually dying in KH2 absolutely nil. Instead of having the "OMGNO!" effect it had in FFVII, it would probably garner a "OMGNOTTHISAGAIN... ¬_¬" response from FFVII players. I suppose non-FFVII players might feel slightly more surprised.

But still. SE would probably save that shock factor for a main character. I don't think there's any chance of Aerith dying.

Tifa, Aerith and Yuffie should go off together and form their own "YuRiPa". Why should only Cloud and Leon get to go world-hopping? :P

I've seen only two actual sites post a VA list-- IMDB and http://www.worthplaying.com, which is what most KH fansites are using as their source. Interesting that the latter says SE released the list, but that there's no VA for Cloud when we know that he definitely speaks.

I think Square Enix thinks they can stress up the Aerith fans and get away with it, coz all will be forgiven once Aerith appears. We're too nice to them, I say. :lol:

I hope they'll give her an update on her wardrobe. The pink dress is nice, but it'd be great to see her in something else. My friends all say that she dresses like a kid in AC.

I think the fifth character has a good chance of being Vivi, Vivi's really popular and I doubt there'd be any complaints if he were in it. But, we don't know who the last of the 5 characters are until we see KH2. Also, Nomura said there'd be more than 5 FF characters, but it wasn't said specifically whether he meant there'd be more new FF characters or that there would be more than 5 when combined with the old FF characters. >_< I doubt they'd kill Aeris again, Aeris-lovers all around would kill themselves and S-E.

Ah...I don't know much about Tron :/ , but this looks exciting. How old is Tron?

Tron is a movie from 1982, about a computer programmer who gets absorbed into his own game. He then ends up having to take part in different gladiatorial-style games for... some reason that I've forgotten. xD; Probably something to do with defeating the main bad guy or having to return to reality.

I've heard someone call it the "Matrix of the 1980's". :P

From what I've heard, the movie itself didn't do too well, possibly because not many people could relate since many didn't have computers and video games back then. But the games that sprung from the movie did much better.

Disney has also evidently been trying to revive the Tron franchise for a while now (they're supposedly remaking the movie right now), and they probably inserted the world into KH2 to build up some anticipation. And it's working. I've seen posts by people who are intending to watch the movie just because it's coming out in KH2.

Speculation has it that Tron may be a world of mini-games.

(...if only I could recall chemistry details right off the bat like this, I'd be a happy happy student -_-)
