Description: by Tim Burton

Have you seen this movie? Yesterday I found it very poetic (excepted for the asticots :P), it even made me cry at the end...
Don't you think that the Corpse bride Emily and Victor are meant to be?
It reminded me of Cloud and Aerith in a way...
I'll never see a butterfly the same way I did before ;)

Oooh, I love that movie! :woot: It was sweet. I started to cry, a little, at the end too. And as for your question about them meant to be, I don't really have a clue. I think they should, I think they shouldn't, not just because Emily's a corpse, dead. o_o

I think it started out promising, but the ending left me...blah. :/
A lot of the songs weren't very catchy, imo, but the character of the Corpse Bride was probably my favorite. She had a lot of dimension to her, while Victoria was left rather 2D in my opinion, at least compared to the Corpse Bride. I don't really know about whether Emily belongs with Victor as I think both women were important to him in many ways.
I do think, though, that Emily affected him more. XD

Tim Burton + Johnny Depp + animation = Good
I might have to go and see this one sooner or later. I know my sister loved Nightmare Before Christmas and I didn't have anything against that movie either...hmm...gave me a good christmas present idea. ^_^

Same here. I almost freaked out/screamed, though, when I heard the first song. :lmao: I was scared when I heard them singing. Seriously.

I loved Corpse Bride.
I thought Victor and Victoria were meant to be. Victoria believed Victor's story about marrying a corpse even before she saw Emily. She was the only one who wanted what was best for him, and he for her. Tis love.

Hmmm, I liked According to Plan (the song at the beginning) well enough, but the next song that takes place in the Land of the Dead with all the skeletons was just waaaaaaay too long for me. All through it I was thinking, "Can we get on with the story, please?" :D
I'm also a Victor/Victoria fan! Like I mentioned in another topic here, I am a sucker for first love/crush couples and I was very happy when they ended up together in the end, as most movies would usually have him end up with Emily. I liked the part where she was just watching Victor marry Emily, without yelling "Stop!" or something. Alright, it might have just been shock, but I believe that she wanted the best for him, and was even willing to see him marry someone dead, if that was what he truly wanted.

Songs were good to my POV. It's not the "disney alike song" of course but it explained the story and feelings of the characters (especially with "Tears to shed") very well.
I agree that Victor and Victoria love each others. But Victor actually loves the Corpse bride or else he wouldn't have accepted to die for her (even if he was disappointed by Victoria's wedding). He wanted to marry Emily at the end and keep his promise...
Emily has less to lose compared to Victoria but it doesn't mean that she and Victor weren't meant to be.

I loved the Corpse Bride, and even cried at the end. This movie has rekindled my love for all things Tim Burton. The message at the end grabbed my attention, and the beautiful designs made me love it even more. I LOVE THE BUTTERFLY.
But I don't think that the Corpse Bride world would match with the CloudxAerith pairing. Just me though.

I just watch Corpse Bride today and already fell in love with it. I can see both pairings have potiential, even if I'm a little inclined towards Victor/Emily, but I also like with Victor/Victoria, Victoria won't be miserable in marriage. :)

That's true. I want them all to be happy! Always! ::passes out rainbows::
