With the NA release coming soon (right?), I'm just wondering who here is still waiting for it to release to see it, and has not seen it yet/been spoiled of it and is awaiting the release? Anyone who has seen it still going to buy it or decided not to buy it after watching it, OR decided to buy it only after watching it? For those who hasn't seen it yet, has the hype died for it or are you still excited as ever? Must be painful waiting this long when everyone around you has seen it eh :lol:

I have actually seen it with subtitles, but I am dying for the NA release to come out, because some of the subtitles are questionable. I want to know what the official translations are! And we gotta wait until 1-10-06!!!! :mad:

I still haven't seen it yet, and I live in the UK, so I'm still waiting a long time for the release.

I've been thinking. Long before the JP release, we knew who the VAs were, but so far, we've gotten any official information regarding the VAs for the NA release.

I've got the Japanese version, so I'm stuck with it until it comes out in NA. I really hate it when they push it back. I wish I would have found out sooner. I'm still going to get it when it comes out over here. If it ever will with the luck that we're getting now.

Exactly, Taco! :huggle: There are some great English VAs out there and I don't see S-E haphazardly picking just anyone to dub AC when they were so careful choosing the JP VAs.

I've watched it with subtittles and I have the first press version from Japan too, but I'm still waiting for the NA release so I can buy it with official translations! You never know, they might change "I'm not alone." to "I love you." like they did with FFX. :lmao:

Grr! It makes me so mad! I was gonna get AC for my birthday! It was supposed to come out three days before my birthday, and now all I can do is wait!

I've seen it, and I'm really looking forward to the NA release so I can buy the official version. (Gotta agree on the subtitles, both sets of fansubs I have are questionable!) And I'm kinda looking forward to the dubs to see what they do. It seems like at least part of the push back might be to get the dub right, so I'm hoping for a pretty decent one that I can watch at times when I really want to concentrate on the visuals in the movie.

And on topic, a family friend's burning it on a CD for me. I'm not waiting for it come out. O__O I've waited too long. I was all planning to get it on September 13 (or 14) and then I find out it's delayed.

So now our family friend is kind enough to burn it on CD for me. ^_^

She said "Thank you." :P The Japanese do not say "I love you" the way other cultures do. They would rather show their feelings through actions.

I just think the message Yuna was trying to give at the end was different. (FFX ending spoilers?) They probably made that difference mainly because of the lip movement, but in the japanese one, it was more like she was saying goodbye, accepting that he had to leave, rather than the english one where...I don't know why she'd say that then and there. "Thank you" would make more sense to Tidus's reaction too.

Anyway, does anyone know exactly why they are delaying it again? I was looking forward to getting it on the 29th.

Hopefully, they're doing it to get some really good English voice actors for AC. That's the only forgivable reason at this moment for any delay. <_<

Although I do hope they'll include a Japanese version with English subtitles in that release. Not just because Sakurai-as-Cloud makes me weak at the knees, but I REALLY don't want any changes be made to the Japanese script just to fit the mouth movements. The thing with FFX is an example of that, which I abhor (even though it worked out nicely for Tuna fans xD).

A while back I dl'ed the japanese version of FFX's ending and noticed Yuna saying "Arigatou". I was like, is that how they say "I love you" in Japanese? Then I figured out she only said thank you and was wondering why they changed it in the English version. :angry:

The Japanese only say "I love you" at special occasions with their partners. They feel if they say it too much then it loses the feeling of the phrase and doesn't mean much.

However to us, if Yuna had just said "Thank you" we would think that Tidus deserved a lot more from her and she could of been seen as cold hearted as we use it a lot more than the Japanese.
