I Am
By: Lynn
SPOILERS: Advent Children

Author's Note:
This is the tiny project some of you may have heard that I was working on. ^_^ Basically everything involved in making this was a first-time effort for me. I combined the lyrics and song from two sources: Will of the Heart from the anime series, Bleach; and a recitation of the poem, Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep by Mary Frye.

The poem goes as such:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there
I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there
I did not die

I first saw that poem on a layout featuring Aerith, and haven't stopped linking that piece to her ever since.

Comments? Criticisms? Desire to kill me for butchering AC, Bleach songs and a beautiful poem like that all in one go with my amateur video skills? I accept them all!

Oh, such an beautiful idea. We are really lucky that you managed to get your footage to work. I absolutely love how you did it, with the quotes from the movie, the song and the poem atop one another (I don't even know how to do that).
You put lots of things in there and they fit perfectly. The poem fits very well. I have read that one somewhere before and you're right, it links to her somehow. And now that AC is there it fits even better, because it shows her being around, being "always there". You captured this idea perfectly with the hand reaching scene with "I did not die" lyrics.
The one thing I can critizise is that I thought the recitation would have more emotion, the voice sounds a bit cold for such an beautiful poem... maybe this is just because I have problems understanding spoken english, though  .

However, I love the idea to put these different sources together, the poem is beautiful, and you made it all work out beautifully. Very well done...

Thank you so much, Stern and FFF. :huggle: You have no idea how much I appreciate your feedbacks!

@Stern: Ah, you're making me blush.  And dangerously considering making another video!

The recitation of the poem was something I'd found online. I wish I'd had enough skill to make it a little 'breathier', more echo-ey if you know what I mean. And I'm glad you found the pieces to fit together; I was worried that the song chosen wouldn't mesh nicely with the tone and lyrics.

Thank you so much for your feedback! :huggle:
