Cloud x Aerith > Final Fantasy VII > Mission One

Title: Mission One
Description: Prolonging her life.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this anywhere else, but each time I play Final Fantasy VII I like to set out with a specific goal.

My newest is very unusual, and while it may sound boring, has actually kept me very busy. I call it Mission One, where I must do everything that can possibly be done on Disc 1. Why? Because I like having Aerith in my party and the game really does start to suck after she dies. So far, I've been playing for 33 hours. I have Cloud, Nanaki and Aerith all at level 45. Nanaki has his fourth limit break, Cosmo Memory. Aerith has her fourth limit break, Great Gospel, as well as her best weapon (Umbrella).

She's not only the best magic user with the most helpful limit break, but oddly enough she's also the strongest attacker out of my entire party. I have no idea how this happened but she usually does on average 900HP of damage with her Umbrella as opposed to Cloud's 350HP hit (Yoshiyuki) and Nanaki's 400-700HP hit. Cloud is ready for his fourth limit break, Omnislash, but I'm still not very well acquainted with Battle Square. Getting the Umbrella for Aerith was a pain in the ass. You need to score atleast 5,000 at Speed Square. I played this a few dozen times until I flew out of there with 5,030 points tonight. That has to be one of the coolest mini games, I had fun every time I played but scoring over 5,000 was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in any game. Last week I forgot once I got to the Temple of the Ancients that there was no turning back so I'm glad I saved another copy. That's the last place you get to use Aerith, even if she does get her Princess Guard weapon, I decided that it would be best to skip the place entirely and get her ultimate weapon even if it was near impossible. Atleast I can use that one for as long as I want. Proud to say that I finally did it. Now I'm using her to max out everyone's limit breaks and level up. Once you get to the end of Disc 1, it's hard to find a decent spot with strong enough enemies. My favorite level up spot on this file is the Wutai area. The crow-like monsters deliver a nasty Lightning attack that drains over 300HP from each party member. I refrain from attacking them and give X-Potions to my teammates to keep their HP up, while their limit gauge maxes out. This is how I got Cloud and Nanaki both of their Level 3 Limit Breaks.

I'm disappointed that I can't return to the Corel Prison, I wanted to find some Cactaurs (killing just one will get you 10000 gil). Didn't learn about this until after I got out of there though. Suckage.

I also hate that there are so many places you can't go yet, and eventually I'll have nothing left to do but level up (slowly). But my goal is to have everyone at atleast Level 75 before I head into the Sleeping Forest. After that, the rest of the game will be very easy. After Mission One, I'm going to have to decide who my 3rd party member will be. I will always have Nanaki. Yuffie has some cool limit breaks but I personally don't like her. Tifa is just lame and I don't like her limit breaks. I also have no intention of using Barret, Cid or Cait Sith, so it's either Vincent or Yuffie. I like Vincent a lot but his limit breaks aren't as cool as Yuffie's IMO. It's going to be a tough decision, I don't think I even want a third party member at this point. And that is exactly why I hate the last two discs, I don't know who else to throw in my party once Aerith is gone. And the only two things I'll miss are the Snowboarding mini-game, Icicle Inn and The City of the Ancients 'cause they're both so pretty and fun to explore. I plan on breeding Chocobos, visiting the Cactaur Island and the Ancient Forest sidequest but none of these can be done on the first disc. *sigh*

Like I said, eventually once I have everyone at a very high level, I'll progress with the game. But for now, I'm going to do everything possible on the first disc. It's been a real exciting challenge so far and sadly I don't think I've had this much fun in a long time.

*sulks off*

Haha, yes...I've been planning on doing this now that I'm replaying FF7 again.
I try to keep Cloud and Aerith together as possible and level her up as high as
possible before I reach the Sleeping Forest scene. I still haven't gotten Aerith
use her Great Gospel cause I never got to her to level up her limit breaks that
high. When I first played the game, I wasn't really interested in limit breaks...
just thought they were cool.

My parties were always either Cloud, Aerith, and Nanaki or Cloud, Aerith,
and Yuffie. But after Disc 1 and into Disc 2...it was all mostly Cloud, Vincent,
and Cid or Cloud, Vincent, Yuffie (Yes! Vincent x Yuffie!).

I hardly used Tifa cause to be honest, I think her limit break sucks(not to
be mean) and I only use Barret if I feel like I need to level him up. Don't be
mistaken though, I think Barret is a cool character!

Well, Aerith was my strongest magic user, then comes Cloud, then Yuffie.
When it comes to physical strength though, it was Cloud, Aerith, then Vincent.

I did the same thing lol you know why? cuz I luv Aerith!!!! she died my most powerful character too (I leveled Cloud Aerith & Nanaki to lv 99  )

and Hey the best place to level up is not the Wutai Area but the little islands in the mideel area just keep using the tiny bronco going past the temple of the ancients go around the fort condor area and there's a little canal that'sll take you to a path which let's you go to the other side of the continent and you'll reach the beach of one of the islands... get off and you'll see mideel in the distance...it sux though cuz you can't go there <_< ...yet. and that's where you get the best EXP and Gil.......not to mention that if you use steal or mug on those purple chinchilla-like monster they'll give you X-potions ;)

oh and go buy weapons in Wutai those are the best until you reach the Temple
