Ehm, I actually made a rather long post but before I could post it someone decided that it's maintance time. :lol:

So long story short, I complained how we Europians never get to see anything good and all the TV shows we get here are the kind I dislike. I feel like such an outsider here, in this akward, closeminded culture we have here. :rolleyes:

But so far I've liked all the anime we actually get to see here (which isn't much). Neon Genesis Evangelion, Magic Knights Rayearth, Sailormoon (it's such a cute show :P ) and I even watch Dragonball Z even though I'm not really a fan of it but it's not like there's much else to watch. <_<

The first ever Anime I've ever watched was actually Transformers, then it was Princess Knight (which I miss so much as the tv station stopped it before finishing it :( ) and the list goes on.

I practically grew up watching Transformers, Thundercats, Jem and the Holograms, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I.Joe, Princess Knight, Sailormoon, Dragon Ball etc... eventhough not many are Anime.

Ah ha! Finally someone else who likes that movie. I find the ending extremely sad but yet so beautiful just like the ending of FFVII. I really do not understand how so many hate Spirits Within. Perhaps they wanted it to be based on one of the games, I suppose there's nothing wrong with that. But it didn't bother me at all that they wanted to create something completely new. ^_^

I enjoyed The Spirits Within, maybe not the greatest movie ever but still good. But I wasn't expecting or hoping for 90 minutes worth of summoning and special attacks. If I wanted that I'll go play FFVIII :P Still, a cactuar or two would have been nice (come on, you went to a deserty wasteland! You could have snuck one or two into the background!).

MARMALADE BOY - oooh, I sooo hate this story! I hate how everyone ended up with the wrong pairings, how the story is so blooody annoying, and how can a mediocre, dumb school teacher compare to the most caring, most smartest guy in school. Watching this anime is like getting a slap in you face.

CHOBITS - "Chiii!!" "Chiiiiii!!!" You get my point.

HACK//SIGN - the one with the young girl being stuck in a virtual world as a male character. Yeah, with lots of dialogue, only a fraction of action, and then more dialogue. Did I mention a LOT of dialogue? It was tiresome to watch. I only liked the part where Balmung entered the scene, but that was only for a second.

STRANGE DAWN - Strangest anime ever. It starts in a weird midget world and the only introduction of the main characters were one line - "We came from another universe when we were at school". Then the story goes on about them trying to find their way back to their own world, with the help of the midgets around. Hmm... the midgets played a bigger role than the leads themselves. And when the leads finally returned to their world, the series ended abrupty like that.

No character-building, plotholes everywhere, boring characters, too much dialogue... and lasted only for 13 episodes. Sad.

LIKES:

Hot Gimmick - Shinogu... yum.
Peach Girl - Such a great story with a nasty villain, a sympathetic heroine and KILEY!
Sensual Phrase - I was quite disappointed with volume 2 after the fabness that was volume 1, but it's still a sexeh manga
Pet Shop of Horrors - I like D. He's so graceful. And Orcot is amusing
InuYasha - Sango rocks, Miroku is my boyfriend, and InuKag is cute.
Ayashi no Ceres - It's a really absorbing storyline. Also: Yuhi, Toya, Aki... oh my!
Fruits Basket - Cute.
Excel Saga - Insanity, but amusing insanity.
Paradise Kiss - I loved the ending. It wasn't typical of shoujo, and I loved that. Couple this with a fantastic story and gorgeous art, and how can anyone not like it?
FAKE - Ryo's kindness. The sexiness of Dee. And the cute Carol and Bikky side-romance! :wub:

DISLIKES:

Between the Sheets - I could see what the author was trying to do with this manga, but unfortunately Happy Mania does it better
Kare Kano - I hated this manga. I disliked Yukino, Arima was typical as far as shoujo love interests go, and I found the storyline irritating.
Chobits - I cannot believe four women wrote this. Or that any woman would enjoy reading it.

I read the manga before I watched the anime. At first I did like Miki/Yuu but then it got so -!! Gah, the ending, talk about overdose of fluffness (sp). All the pairings here are wrong, but Meiko and the teacher was the worst, she deserved better.

Thank you. I hated the manga a lot as well. I have no idea why my friends make a big deal out of it. I only read volume one and the main girl character is just .. God! Did she have to be some 'fake'?! Worst manga I've read in my life.

I hate voogie's angels (sp), oh beyond suckiness. Err anime that I don't completely hate, just bought the dvd and wasted my money upon: Cowboy Bepop , Spiral, Tokyo Underground. Cowboy Bepop, VIOLENCE. Spiral.. I bought it because I thought Ayumu was cute, but then Hiyono annoyed me a lot so I only watched till episode 3. Tokyo Underground was uninteresting.

I love GTO too... but so far I haven't seen the anime but have only read the manga. It's a bit-- no, it's REALLY ecchi, but beyond the fanservice is a beautiful plot with wonderful character developments.

I also love the little 'crossovers' in the manga (Pokemon mask, Sailormoon costumes, Evangelion posters in a character's room... these sort of things). And the humour's totally random and wacky. Just love it.

Dragonball is probably one of the worst anime in history. I only appreciated the Cell Saga and that was just because Mirai Trunks was hot. Every saga follows the same format:

1. New enemy
2. Gokou and Co fight the new enemy in a bash fest that lasts for,oh, 30 episodes or more???
3. After a defeat, Gokou goes into a training session that lasts for, like, two weeks worth of episodes
4. Gokou fights the new enemy again only this time, the new enemy has gained some sort of superpower. This lasts for about a week's worth of episodes with two of them getting one over the other every episode.
5. The enemy dies. Which takes another two episodes
6. They celebrate! But then a new enemy is born and...lather, rinse, repeat

Damn waste of TV viewing time :angry:

Hm... I like Giant Robots anime...

Really, I kid you not... From SEED Destiny to RahXephon to Evangelion to Mazinger Z ^^... I've been playing a tacticslike Japanese mecha crossover game, and am addicted to it. Therefore, I make it a point to watch old to recent mecha anime as many as I can get my hands on. The downside of this is that I don't watch other genre anime anymore.

It's so awesome. It is short with only like 24 or so episodes. :(

But it makes up for that with great characters (I love Milly :lmao: and I will never forget Wolfwood :cry: ) and good pacing (starts out really funny but slowly gets more serious)

Damn, I remember an anime that I detested. Ninja Resurrection!!! Plotless, and I mean plotless, piece of crap. Unecessary violence, with blood and guts flying all over the place. I mean, the violence wasn't even artistic, like in RK or X/1999. It practically made me puke!!! Some cute, innocent kids get their heads chopped off and the villain holds them up, like they're f_ckin trophies or something! And then the only likeable character's limbs all get chopped off, after which he is violently raped by a crazy woman with a decaying body. Oh yeah, great anime. I take back what I said about Dragonball Z, Ninja Resurrection is the worst anime that I have ever had the misfortune to receive for Christmas >_< :puke: >_< :puke: >_< SICK!

*gags* NO MAY AND ASH!!!! *sheepish smile* Sorry to anyone who likes that pairing. Lol, Misty and Ash are ever so much cuter together IMO. But lol, this is kinda off topic, so I'll stop now ^_^

Uh oh..it's like the Cloti vs. Cleris, the May/Ash vs. Misty/Ash...lol!

*Misty/Ash over here since Pokemon first came to be* They're close to my heart...and I stopped watching the series once Misty went bye-bye. :(
