Hey. I just wanted to see if anyone else noticed any mangas that have a FF character(s) added in. I wish i could post the pics of these but I don't have a scanner. :( Sorry.

As I was re reading some of my sister's Love Hina I noticed that in Vol. 3, at the bottom right corner there is a couple that looks like Squall and Rinoa! They are behind Keitaro (the main guy). They have blank faces but the guy has the same hair as Squall, he is wearing black pants and a long sleeved black jacket w/ fur at the top, and a necklace hanging down! The girl's body is being covered but she has Rinoa's hairstyle! When I looked at it I was like "...Hmm...AH! That's Squall and Rinoa! It must be!" lol. There is also a guy that looks like he could be Zell in Vol. 2. The guy, again, has a blank face but his hair is very similar. It may or may not be him.

As I was looking up Ragnarok the manga, I found a site that said the FF Tactics peeps were in it watching fights at an arena. There wasn't a character like Ramza or Delita, but the white mage, monk, etc. Good find! (She also found the PPG! Lol.) Sadly, I can't seem to find that page anymore.

The huge one however is the manga Faeries Landing. There are so many FF appearances in it! They have Tifa wearing a jersey that says Cloud Strife <_< (Sorry, I don't like her.) The main girl transformed into her. There is also on a new chapter page I pic of the main guy dressed as Vincent and the main faerie, the same one, dressed as Yuffie and Tifa, tho I don't get how she can be both. (Yay!Yuffetine! :yuffie: :vincent: ). She appears as Tifa a few times. Zack makes an appearance and Reno is in it a lot. They describe him as a "Flamboyant faerie." Lol. The cast of FF8 are seen as well. Squall, Rinoa, Selphie, Zell and Quistis are there. I didn't see Irvine tho for some reason. I quickly scanned them at the bookstore(I don't actually own any yet) but I didn't see someone like Cloud or Aeris. ::Weeps:: :cry: There are two ppl that look like they could be but they are brother and sister! Plus she's blonde and evil. I hope that's not her. She is rivals w/ the Tifa one tho. Hmm. I dunno.

Besides having FF charcters Faeries Landing had appearances from Sanji, Zolo, Sakura(CCS) Heero, the dude from Evangelian, Wesley (TMM) and one kinda looked like the glasses wearing guy in Street Fighter. I'm sure there was lots more but I don't read too many diff. titles.

Did anyone else find a FF character or other in a manga? (Besides cross overs like KH and Tsubasa). Please share! :gift:

Well, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean that they got permission from SE to use the characters or that they actually are the characters?

I'm not quite sure how it works when you put other ppls work in your own manga, but I thought that as long as you don't use their name it was still legal. In Faeries Landing's case, They changed the characters names. The Reno in it isn't really Reno. I'll try to explain this clearly. The Reno in the manga isn't a Turk or from the FF world. He, and as far as I know,all the other FF and other characters, have made up names by the creator. I think he/she did this to not get sued ( tho I could be wrong). When any character appears he/she has a diff. background b/c in this story some are faeries, ex. Reno and the girl who transforms to Tifa.

If u mean the latter, they are pretty obviously them. I saw a cover art of the reno guy and he has red eyes and is a redhead w/ the same hairstyle. It's very clear when it's from a diff. manga series by looking at them. :)

The story is about a guy who finds a faerie bathing ground. He meets a faerie bond to the earth and they become connected or bonded or something so he has to help her. She informs him that he will have 108 doomed relationships! :o Lol, poor guy. It says he's girl shy too.

I also forgot to mention that my fave character from one of my fave anime/manga appears: Vash! Very breifly tho.

I kinda meant both. :P I've seen one manga that constantly has little references to other manga but nothing big. I'll try to read Faeries Landing if I see it; should be interesting to recognize the characters. :D

Really?! How cool. I'll have to scan through the mangas again next time I'm at Borders.

Another possible Squall sighting is in Othello vol.1. Technically it is a cosplayer in the manga, but they look like they are cosplaying as Squall. The person is seen on page 124 and 131. The person's back is to us both times, but the person is wearing a fluffy topped long black jacket and the hair style is similar. I don't know for sure if the person is dressed as Squall or just in similar gothic lolita style outfit that looks like his.( All the cosplayers are wearing gothic lolita style clothes).

There's an extra in one of the beach scenes in Sorcerer Hunters that looks JUST like Aeris! There's also another extra that looks a lot like her. I didn't think anything of it, until I found out that the artist is an FF nerd xD
