~Fury Brand~ - November 19, 2004 10:08 AM (GMT)
Square Enix's official Itadaki Street Special website has been updated today. The update includes a character section for FFVIII to which Squall and Rinoa have been added, new battle arenas, new gameplay information and pictures, and more.
In addition a new Itadaki Street Special Scan has surfaced on the web. Amongst other things the scan shows Auron and Tidus :)
Official website Scan Source - FF7AC ReunionEdit - A site staff at Advent Children Net, Draexin, has found five new wallpapers that have been added to the official site. He gave me permission to post them over here :D Thank you Draexin *^_^* I was also able to unlock the wallpapers myself by playing the mini game on the main site but for those of you that don't want to play the mini game to unlock them or just want to see them straight away here are their links -

Thanks for the link to the official site I like how in one of the pages they placed Cloud in-between his girls making him look like a real pimp daddy! LOL
Ha ha Auron shill looks the same in Chibi form XD

Ooh, they are all so kawaii! *cuddles them all* I just want to hug them all! ^_^
I claim chibi Cloud as my own. :P
The trailer was nice especially the ending with Gilgamesh swishing arond with his sword. :D
I was under the impression that no FF9 characters made it into that game but I'm glad I was proven wrong with Vivi being in it and all. Everyone forgets FF9 so easily. *sigh*
Kuja is just too cute.

Heey! Look! Tifa's with a DragonQuest character! They MUST be in love!!!*laughs at self*
Sorry, it had to be said.
Anyways, they're ADORABLE! I claim Tidus for my very own!*snugs him*
Oh, I noticed something funny. Look at Squall's face, then look at Cloud's. Then look back at Squall's face....notice anything?
Real_Emotion - November 19, 2004 09:45 PM (GMT)
YAY!! Finally, Yuna and Tidus are MUCH closer to eachother. They are also accompanied by Squall and Rinoa. So cute!
Kaldea - November 19, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
Yeah, my fiancee noticed that Squall and Cloud have the same poses and facial expressions

I think it's awfully cute. They look like brothers that way and I just want to huggle them both until they beg for mercy. ^_^
But I'm disappointed that there is no chibi Vincent or Sephy in that game. <_<
Chibi Vinny-poo is just too cute!

All of the characters look great! ^_^
But, I do have one question... What is up with the lack of Aerith??? <_< All we have seen is Cloud with Tifa, Cloud alone, Tifa alone, blah, blah, blah. Even on the official site, in the intro, we see Cloud with Tifa and no Aerith anywhere in sight! We have been given ONE picture of Aerith and we have yet to see her anywhere near Cloud! I am SERIOUSLY getting ticked off with this game and its CloTi-ness... Pile that on top of the Tifa overload from AC and I am one annoyed ClAeris... <_<

Actually, we have seen a picture of Cloud and Aerith in Itadaki, although it was just a picture of the two of them on the gameboard. I'll try to track it down for you. However, I just heard from Clorith that Itadaki Street is actually under the Enix branch, and that she's heard the Enix games are made by outside companies. So it doesn't look like there's reason to worry about it. ;)

Oh, well, that makes a big difference, especially if none of the people involved in making FFVII are involved. These people probably don't have a clue about the love triangle...

Yep yep, I said that. ^_^ Itadaki's an Enix game, this is the first time FF characters are in it due to the merger. Plus Enix has been known to develop games by hiring outside developers. I remember reading an article on that when SE was first formed and they were talking about how different the two companies were. Squaresoft, as we all know, develops their stuff in-house.

Very interesting, Clorith. Thanks for the word on that! :D
Hey, Clorith... I'm sure you remember that screenshot of Cloud and Aerith a few squares away from one another on the game board. I looked for it last night and couldn't find it. Do you have a link to it for FF_G?
I thought that one Itadaki scan with Aerith and Yuna was interesting that showed Aerith aiming for immortality, too.
Clorith - November 26, 2004 10:28 AM (GMT)
Oh, no need for a few squares away, now they're on the same square! The scan with Tidus and Auron, she's on the same square as Cloud, looks like they're tag-teaming with this DQ princess. But the problem is the link is down. I guess FF7AC Reunion only hosts those images temporarily and later takes them down. Which means I'm supposed to be uploading them on our server... but I really don't feel like it at the moment. >.< Gah, there's a news update on a DVD coming with DQ8, I think. But I'm too lazy to run it through Babelfish and attempt to decipher it. *runs off and pretends to study*
Yup, I liked that immortality thing too!
FF_Goddess - November 27, 2004 01:46 AM (GMT)
So, do we have any idea who is actually working on Itadaki Street (the director, the producer, etc...)?
Clorith - November 27, 2004 05:09 PM (GMT)
Oh, I think it's one of the Enix development teams. Like how FF12 is still mostly handled by the original Squaresoft staff. I don't really know much about Enix, but I can look it up for you after my exams. :)

Drat! I didn't see the one where they're on the same square! I just saw one where they were a few squares away. It was one of the earlier pictures before the website came out. Well, that means there have been two pics of them together, then.
I'd love to hear who's on the development team for it when you have time to look it up after exams. And where did you find out that it's being created by the Enix development team? I hadn't heard that.
Thanks, Clorith! :D

Okay, thanks a lot, Clorith! :D
