I'm surprised there isn't a Barret Wallace Club, so I decided to make one.

Welcome to Big Shot, the Barret Wallace Club. Dedicated to who else? None other than that dirty mouth bad ass with the mechanical arm, Barret Wallace.

Sadly, he is one of the most under appreciated characters ever and no one ever shines the spot light on him. :sad: He's a great character with such an amusing personality and an interesting background story. He is completely dedicated to his cause, which I find very admirable. He's a huge dude with a mouth of a sailor, but is still the giant cuddly teddy bear Marlene affectionately and proudly calls 'Papa'. :wub: He's one of my most favorite characters and I hate how he seems to be pushed aside and forgotten as one of the 'family members' of Cloud and Tifa's exclussive 'family' <_< or how people don't consider him to be of worthy note, just because he's not some pretty boy bishie. BARRET IS TOTAL BISHIE MATERIAL! And, I pitty da foo who dun think so. :P

I love how Barret raves about seeing Marlene again during AC. It's so cute. He may be a rather intimidating looking guy, but when he's around or thinks of Marlene, he turns into quite the softie. :fangirl:

Anyone remember when he was reunited with Marlene when Cloud and co. went back to Elmyra's house? I swear that scene was so cute. Barret snuggling her so affectionately! And Marlene says something like this: "Papa don't be sad(or was it 'papa don't cry'?). Your whiskers are hurting me." :lol: So adorable!

I wanna join! Barret always ssems to caring towards Marlene and willing to fight for her and his friends ^_^

His relationship with Marlene is so touching and one of my favorite parts of the game and now the movie :) Now that Dyne is gone Barret is and always will be her papa, in fact she probably considers Barret more her papa than Dyne because she was very young when she got seperated from Dyne and Eleanor and probably didn't get much of a real chance to really know her parents :sad: But she has come to know and love Barret as papa.

As for Cloud, some dad he'd be, I mean come on he didn't even know what to think of Marlene in Tifa's story :P

I can see Tifa being her mama though *waves a Barrifa flag* :wub:

Apart from his relationship with Marlene in the game another thing I really like about Barret is his relationship with Aerith. He was so grateful to Aerith for taking care of Marlene and iirc he didn't hesitate to go to help rescue her from Shinra. Remember when they are escaping the building and all the guys with guns come? Barret tells Aerith he'll protect her and she does a cute little pose and says thank you Mr Barret :lol:

What I love about Barret is what a human character he is. He isn't perfect, he has flaws, some flaws which run quite deep. But he's still a good man nonetheless, and he has good intentions, and is very loyal and loving to those he cares about. Honestly, how can you not love the guy?

I know, right?? :wub: Barret is VERY human indeed!! He's the shweetest RPG man I know, inside his rough image. I just ADORE Barret with all my heart!! :D

And again... Barret is shoved aside... well... it's not only Barret, but the whole group as well. Vincent, Yuffie, Cid, RedXIII, Cait Sith, Aeris, and Barret... They are all part of that family as indicated by the group picture at the end of the movie. <_< But, Barret is still not considered part of the family just because he isn't in the 'family portrait' with Marlene, Cloud, Denzel, and Tifa. But yes, I don't understand how people could think that Cloud is replacing Barret as Marlene's father. Cloud cares for Marlene, but not in the same way as Barret does.
