I really think the anime sucks, compared to the manga. I could give you a ton of reasons, but I'm so lazy.... xD

I like the manga better then the anime too. I think the manga is more detailed and has a better plot. I do want to see the movie sequal too the series though. ^_^

What is this series about?

The plot is almost the same, except it goes by much faster. A lot of scenes in the manga do not happen, and lots of stuff about the Homunculus and their leader is differant.

I like this anime. It is something different and it's cool that they have the seven deadly sins in "human" form. I wish they would show more Hughes, Roy, Risa and his subs more often. I haven't read the manga yet. I heard from a Roy+Risa site that Roy is quite different in the manga. Are Roy and Risa closer in it? I hope so. Roy+Risa! Hughes was always so funny, the dork. :D Envy must die! :mad:

I have all the manga + all the anime + the games.
So far I haven't seen the movie ;_;
And I too think the manga is way better than the anime.
And I...like Envy ;_;

I like the anime much better than the manga. But it's still good ^_^

I've got two volumes of the manga and five volumes of the anime. I really like it, but I've heard it goes downhill around episode 20 (which is the part I'm at in the anime).

Envy doesn't die in the anime, and won't die so soon in the manga. Lucky bastard! xD


The anime sucks. Why? Makes no sense. Pretty pics and good fights... so? What about the rest? What about a reasonable plot? Everytime I remember the pairing ScarxLust I feel like puking and kicking someone. Luckily Lust died in the manga much before you could even think about it!! o_O And Envy being Ed's bro? Puleaaaase... Oooh, the drama! :rolleyes: And there's a huge lack of RoyxRiza, and, much worse, no EdxWin. That's just unforgivable.

And homunculi wanting to become human? o_o MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAA!! If you couldn't die and had awesome powers would you want to be a miserable human? Yeah, right... The poor things want love, oh, the poor sinners... -_- *laughs her head off*

I'm sorry, but could you please not post spoilers (especially not right in the first line of your post) in a thread where many people have stated not having finished or even gotten very far into the series? I would really have appreciated not knowing what you said in that first line.

All that I know, is that the animation is very, very smooth. I only caught a glimpse of it when I was at my cousin's house. :angel: I wish I could have seen all of it! :sad:

I think what i want to say about edwa\rd elric will be best explaied with DG's aim profile, unfortunatly she's not here I'llnust say.

SweetJanie could you please share some cute Roy+Risa moments w/ me? How are the homunculi's order different in the manga? Why do they all seem to be against Greed in the anime? I cried at two events in this series ( from what I've seen so far, lol), and one was something that involved Envy's doings, so I'm bitter about it. <_< :cry: I don't mind if other ppl like him tho. i don't like his voice actor. Sounds like a woman and I thought he was a woman until they said it was a guy. oh well. It's still a good show.

I watched this anime once on Cartoon Network, but I thought that it was a bit too... violent, I guess. I didn't find the plot that gripping either, but I thought that the animation was sharp and well done.

Yeah. I really love the manga more then the anime. there needs to be more Roy+Riza in both the anime and manga though...

Its not all the manga though, but its updated everynow and then with new chapters of it..Its up to 52 now I think..

Thanks for the manga link, now that I'm watching the series, I'd love to compare it to the manga. Naturally for me, the manga is always better.

XD I do love the episode when they are on the island (flashback episode) and they have to kill the rabbit. Too funny...

And the anime, is totally incredibly sad. I've cried like 5 times or more! This is not good for my eyes!

I loved the part with the rabbit too. Made me laugh, and my mom for that matter. :lmao:

I wish my mom would watch anime with me. She calls it Japanese "sh*t" I was like :o That's so mean! I love it.

I think the end was really unsatisfing though....I mean...geez!! I do love Rose though! She's so wonderful! And Lust...dunno why I like Lust so much...even Gluttony and Wrath were really too cute for words.

It has the door (that took Ed's arm and leg) and has writing on it...at one part of it has writing that says Sephiror 2, Sephiroth 3, Seph 4, and a Sephi 5...

I thought it was interesting....I was like, "whoah, its sephiroth!"

Ugh, I'm a bit pissed at my brother. I had just bought the entire series and had gotten less than halfway through it. Then I come home to find that he lent all four DVDs to this friend of his who is notorious for never giving stuff back.
Grrrr. I was up to the part where they find that Marco doctor guy.
I absolutely wub Edward, though. He's one of the most magnetic anime protagonists I've ever seen. And Al is just adorable! Heh, you gotta love a big hulking robot...with a tinny kid's voice :lol: I wonder what he'd look like in present human form...bishie I'll bet!

Present human form Al, eh? I've seen him. They are making a FullMetal Alchemist movie, its called The Conqueror of Shambola I think. Its got Al, in human form. He's pretty cute actually. His hair is longer, kinda like Ed's but not in a braid, and he's got Ed's clothes I think.
