In FFVII I'd really hafta say in the church, although they'd need to do a few fixin's. Or maybe someplace outside...yeah, some purdy flower field.

He'd offer the ring to her while just saying her name, looking down instead of looking at her. After hesitating, he'd probably just say very simply, almost in a whisper: "Would you marry me?"

Then again, he might just hand her the ring and say, "..............." :lol:

It would have to be a small wedding with only Cloud, Aerith and their closest friends. I could go into details but that would be too romantic and I hate to be romantic as it gets me all teary. :lol:
But let's just say that what I have in mind is something incredibly simple but yet unforgettable and far more beautiful than anything you could create with any amount of money.

As for the proposal itself, I imagine it something like this:
Aeris cocked an eyebrow as Cloud took her hand, and led her out of Tifa's bar. She and Cloud had gotten as close as she always hoped they would since she had come back, and she couldn't have been happier.
"Where are we going?" She asked as they headed down to her church. Dry leaves crunched under their feet as they walked. Cloud's hand felt clammy, it was one of the very rare times he didn't have gloves on. He was definitely nervous about something.
He turned to her and gave a smile, and squeezed her hand.

They entered her church. It was beautiful. The sunlight streamed in through the stained glass windows, casting rainbows on the floor.
"My church," She said with a smile, and noticed the flowerbed. Yellow daffodils were in bloom. "Oh, Cloud, you grew them for me?" She gushed and ran over to them.
Cloud shook his head, "Marlene's been taking care of them. It's not why I brought you out here."
Aeris looked up at him. "Then why..."
Cloud walked to her, and took her hand again. "Aeris..."
"What?"
He couldn't quite look her in the eye.
"What?" She whispered.
He cupped her face gently, and stared into her green emerald eyes. "Marry me."
Aeris gasped, "What?" She repeated for a third time.
"I never had anything before, but I've always wanted something, and that something is... it's you. It's always been you." He said more clearly.
Aeris closed her eyes, and a small tear escaped from them, trailing down her cheek. Cloud wiped it away gently. "Aeris?"
She opened her tear-filled eyes, and smiled widely. "Yes," She whispered, "YES!" She threw her arms around his neck and sobbed into his shoulder. "Of course I'll marry you," She whispered. She lifted her face up, and kissed him, sealing the statement.

Awww, all of the details are making me feel all sappy. I just got engaged a few days ago, so this situation is my reality! lol When I picture Aeris's wedding dress, I picture it being very simple, kinda like her dress in the game. For Aeris, you wouldn't want a dress that distracts from her natural beauty. I'm thinking silky material with spaghetti straps, with no elaborate details. :wub: lol I keep getting distracted by thinking of my own wedding, it's hillarious the way I keep staring at my ring, like it'll suddunly disappear. But yeah, back to Aeris, everything she'll wear will be pretty simple, her hair will probably be down, nothing elaborate, maybe a few flowers in her hair. That's all the details I've got for now! :D

Both Cloud and Aerith are far too special to go to a place that is filled with tourists. It needs to be a place where they can be alone, just the two of them. Nothing fancy or special, just a calm and beautiful place with as few people as possible.

If it would really have to be a populated place then I suppose Wutai would be a nice place to go. But I would still prefer something different, like...the Sleeping Forest or even the Forgotten City would be better. Remember that where Aerith died, it looked like some beautiful forgotten city (thus the name :rolleyes:) made out of crystal or some other incredible material. They don't need to take much with them, just a blanket and something to eat. ^_^

Actually, talking about a fanfiction of Cloud and Aerith getting married. In an Epilogue in my fanfic "The Uncanny Mission" on fanfiction.net, there is a scene where Cloud and Aerith are in a triple wedding with two more couples.

The wedding was held Aerith's church and the honeymoon was at Gold Saucer (I didn't add much about the honeymoon actually).

Aerith's dress: Hmmm... I'm thinking of a long flowy dress with no straps. Maybe a pink ribbon tied around her waist, with several pink roses tucked into the knot. (You know... the ribbon knot!) And her dress is a delicate white with a pink hem.


Aerith's flowers in her bouquet: Delicate pink roses (Aerith doesn't seem to be so serious) that match her pink ribbon. Hmmm... maybe some tulips too.


The Wedding: Hmmm... bride and groom in a little gazebo with a priest (can you imagine... CID!?!?! MWAHAHAHAH!!!!!!), and attendees on wooden benches nearby. Ribbons wrap around the gazebo and some pink roses are formed into little bouquets at the sides of the benches.

a.) Maid of Honour: Elmyra...

b.) Entourage: Elmyra, Tifa, Yuffie, Kairi, Marlene, Denzel, Shera... others... can't think of any now. >.<
