Title: Yubiwa
Description: A Cleris song :D

Hades' Daughter - September 19, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure if someone already posted this song up, but I was watching Escaflowne (the movie) again the other day, and when the credits rolled up at the end with the song "Yubiwa", I was sqeeing. :P

The words greatly reminded me of Cleris, especially with what happens in AC. I've bolded out the lines that I feel are extremely good references to CXA. Yup, and the song is also sung by Maaya Sakamoto. *worships her*

English Translation of "Yubiwa" (Ring):

1)
As my tears keep overflowing,
I can’t see your last smile through the blur.
Don’t go! Don’t go! Stay here with me.
Light breaks through the sky
.

I’m so insignificant but
I loved you with all my soul
,
More than anyone.
Thank you for…all of the
Precious feelings
That you gave to me.

“At that time, I just…watched for ages as the vapor trail vanished.”

2)
Don’t forget
You’re not alone.
Even if we part,
Our hands are still linked.

3)
It was my first love
When I first learned of sadness like this.
Even if something fades away,
Something will live again.
The smile you gave me as we parted,
Was your message for me to triumph.

4)
Someday surely we’ll meet again
And be together.
No matter how far,
We’ll stare into each other’s eyes.

Bet all our hopes and dreams.
Let’s promise each other
That we’ll hold on to the intensity of that day,
And live in the future that
Blooms in tomorrow.

BTW, I couldn't help but imagine the words being something of a little conversation between Cloud and Aerith at the end of AC (first part = Cloud, second part = Aerith, third = Cloud, and 4th = Aerith again) :fangirl:

What do you guys think?

Ahh!!! YES, when I saw the translations to this song, I immediately thought of CloudxAerith!! Maaya is wonderful, isn't she!? :cleris:

Those lyrics are indeed very Cleris! :cleris:

I've concluded that just about any Van/Hitomi song will work for Cloud/Aerith considering the basics of their relationships are rather similar. Both relationships share the theme of being connected even though separated physically.
