I looked this anime movie up on the 'Net and was surprised to see that very few people know about it and love it as much as I do. It's such a sweet film that gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside the whole time :wub:

It's about a girl named Shizuku who notices that all the books she checks out from the library have been previously checked out by the same boy "Seiji Amasawa". She gets so used to seeing his name and wondering about it that she soon falls in love with it and paints a very idealistic portrait of this "Seiji Amasawa" in her mind. But soon she meets a good-looking but very infuriating boy who, much to her dismay, seems like he might be the very same name she keeps seeing in the library. Later she befriends the boy's grandfather and gets to know the mysterious boy better...

If you haven't seen it then I highly recommend it. It is particularly inspiring to those who want to be writers and find love at the same time ^_^

I haven't seen it (I wish I had), but I HAVE seen "The Cat Returns", and I heard that Baron, the main character, was from "Whisper of the Heart".

Yup...he's the Grandfather's special antique statuette and the later inspiration for Shizuku's fantasy stories. I was surprised to find that they actually gave him his own movie!

They're finally going to dub it in English, with an all-star cast, so I have a feeling you'll be seeing it soon! :D

oOoOoO! i've seen it before, and the ending is so sweet!! its also interesting how they make violins. :lol: but still, i like Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa (is that how you spell it?) of the Valley of the Wind better. But my mom really likes WOTH.
