All I know is that it isn't Tifa. Nomura said that he "isn't interested in any superdeformed females". :lmao: So, my best guess would be Aerith. :aeris:

Amano didn't design the characters in FFIX. He just drew extra pictures of them like he did for the other FF games.

What about Yuna tho? She was so fun and a very important heroine, and got her own sequel. We dont see Rinoa with a sequel. Besides, look at her, she doesn't look like any of the other main FF heroines. All the other girls have dark hair and dark eyes, while Yuna has pretty brown hair and two different colored eyes. I think it's Yuna. I like Yuna too ^_^

The character designs in FFVII are Nomura's. Sakaguchi and Nomura were involved in the plot of the game.

I've read everywhere people saying that Nomura's favourite FF female is Rinoa, but I can't, for the life of me, find its original source. :lol: Not that I'm trying to prove/disprove it, but I was curious where it all started from.

I think it said sumthing like he only created Tifa because if the player does not get Yuffie(since she's optional), then there won't be any female chracters left in the game. :aeris:

I've been reading everywhere that his favorite female is Rinoa too. I think it's kinda funny that his favorite is also one of the most hated :lol: And Aerith is the favorite of either Kitase or Uematsu, I can't remember which. I'm pretty sure it was Kitase though.

Hrmms...can't remember if Nomura was talking about FFVII only or his favorite character in general, but I thought he mentioned Aerith. I think he mentioned that when he was talking about how "replacing Aerith with Tifa" had been just a joke.

He did mention the "replacement" thing in the EGM interview. I'm not sure if he said anything about it in Dismantled (or maybe that's where the misunderstanding was made? Ah, I've got all my info mixed up... :lol:'').

As far as I know, however, Nomura's never officially stated who his favourite FFVII female is. The closest he came was saying "he doesn't like super-deformed females" when EGM asked him about it. :lmao:

Could it have come from Velvy? According to her friend, Nomura said his favourite FFVII female character was Aerith. They apparently asked him at a convention/meet-and-greet or somethng. I recall moaning in Devotion what a shame it was, that they didn't tape record it at the time. :lol:

I can't remember exactly where I read it, Lynn. I'm so positive I read it somewhere though. At the time, I was kind of thinking to myself "does that mean Nomura likes Aerith more than Cloud?" :o

I also recall some Clotis arguing about it too...something about how just because Nomura's favorite character [from the game?] was Aerith didn't mean Cloud loved her.

Well im not really sure, but he did state that in FFVII that his favs was Cloud, Aerith and Red, so for the girl fav thing, i think Aerith would be my best guess <3 :aeris:

But im not saying he likes her overall, just that Aerith is his fav girl in FFVII.
