Konami is gonna release it soon. It's called Rhapsodia and it's a Tactics Suikoden game. It's after the events of Suikoden IV and the main character is called Kyril and together with his friends he is trying to destroy the Rune Cannons that played a big role in Suikoden IV.

You get flashbacks with Hero IV and Snowe and all the rest some Suikoden IV characters like Kika, Lino En Kuldes and some others return.

AND Konami already announced Suikoden V in the making...it's gonna be set in the Queendom of Falena and most likely the new True Rune will be the True Sun Rune.

I haven't heard of a True Sun Rune?

I've only played Suikoden and Suikoden II, number III was cancelled on its released in Europe.

I did always think that Luc was a female! I really did! He just looked so much like a girl!

Yeah too bad Suikoden III was canceled for European release, but I got the import version :D

I'm such an RPG freak, and I've played so many different series (including all those old-school ones like Lufia :P )... but one of the only series I haven't touched is Suikoden... *slaps self*

Luc- sarcasm= :fangirl: .
Jowy- lots of people hate him but I don't. I absolutely loved him before he turned "evil"-so gentle, contemplative, but a bit disturbed. And even when I was fighting against him, I found him really intriguing! He had good intentions but he lost control of them somewhere along the way
Tir McDohl- for a character who doesn't talk, this guy sure gets a lot of fangirls! Maybe it's because they've romanticized his pain and his immortality :P I heart Tir angst fics!
Shu- teh hawt strategist! There's something about his commanding tone that shivers me timbers :lol:
Flik- didn't like him in 1, loved him in 2. Poor guy, first he loses his true love now he always getting chased by deranged women (including me! heheheh!)
Viktor- he's cool...reminds me a lot of Han Solo for some reason :P

Luc, Tir, Kyril and Flik are my favorite characters. Flik in Suikoden I was lame in the beginning, but I liked him in the end when he pointed his sword at Sanchez and stayed with Viktor at Gregminster Palace in the end.

Suikoden II is so overpriced! Its too expensive for me to buy! I have the Suikoden III manga, the first volume but that's it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Luc turn to the dark side in III?

Sort of...you'll first see him as a badguy, but once you know his intentions, you'll see it's not that bad.

Nice to see others who appreciate Jowy/Nanami! ^_^ My rationale behind this is that besides Riou, Jowy is the boy she's gotten closest to while growing up and going through adolescence...and he's very good-looking and we've seen Nanami react a lot in the prescence of good-looking boys so...heheheh. Why not? Good looks + emotional attachment= possible attraction! She could have carried a torch for him! Plus she calls him "my Jowy" during the Greenhill scene :lol:
And as for Jowy...feh, married schmarried!(sorry, just had to say that :lol: ). He does travel the world with Riou and Nanami after all...there's room for development... ;) *starts thinking up fanfic ideas*

Viki was awsome, I liked the doubleness in Suikoden III, the young, but wise Viki full of sarcasm, while the grown up was really naive and dumb. So funny!

Futch was really great in part III though his role wasn't too big like in the first two Suikodens. I really liked the story behind the whole dragon losing and regaining thing. I always thought he and Milia had something, but it seems that Milia had someone else after she was promoted to Captain of the Dragon Knights and apparently she gave birth to Sharon (who is also in Suikoden III), who got a golden dragon after Suikoden III.

Damn...Futch looks SOOOOO much like Flik...didn't you notice. Just compare Futch from Suikoden III with Flik from Suikoden II.

IIRC this was the part Jowly and Riou infiltrated the camp to find out how many food rations the enemy have. They got caught, and Jowy made his friend run off and allowed himself be captured.

It was a touching scene, Riou, Nanami and Pilika waiting for Jowy at the gates (and sadly, in this part of the game, Jowy joins the "dark side", so to speak). Nanami tells Riou the story when he got lost when they were little, and that Jowy actually cried, in which she hastily said not to tell because she promised.

I cried when Nanami died in my first game (didn't got my 108 stars). Damn Konami for messing me up. >.<

Oh! So did I! She was one of my favourite characters and I had her in my party all of the time. Its been like four years since I last played II.

Didn't anyone else find Luca Blight a pain when you had to fight him three times and THEN enter a dual with him after the third fight? The first time I beaten him in those battles and then I lost the duel! Argh! I was screaming!

But he was a great, truly despicable villain. Took 18 people to defeat him, what do you think of that, eh? :lol:

The Final boss was a cinch to defeat compared to Luca Blight. He was truly difficult to deal with the first time around ...
