Ok, this has been bothering me for a while...

Most people (especially clueless CloTis) say Tifa's eyes are red. Something that I completely disagree with. Her eyes are supposed to be brown but the color on the game shows that they are an extreme brown, almost a red color. Vincent is the only playable character that has officially red eyes. <_<

And thankfully AC proves this. Her eyes are brown!

Mmm, I might support Cloud x Aerith but I still like Tifa very much. It's not her fault she has some silly fans. ^_^

But her eyes do look bit red but they aren't. I would say that they are more like chestnut red/brown that might look red in certain light. I had chestnut brown hair a while ago sometimes when I looked myself in the mirror it looked as if I had deep red hair. Colours can be tricky sometimes. :rolleyes:

Also as I've encountered it from other fics, writers describe her eyes in the following way:
1. Crimson
2. Wine
3. Cherry eyes
4. Brown

Yes, Tifa is very pretty. In certain light, her eyes do look a little red, but in reality, they're more of a cinnamon color, I think.

I read an interesting article one time about Tifa's eyes being the color of Meteor, while Aerith's eyes were the color of the Lifestream. :rolleyes: Even if her eyes aren't really red, I liked the idea behind it. :lol: Her eyes are definitely brown in AC, though.

Are Vincent's eyes red in AC? None of the screenshots that I've seen show a distinct color in his eyes.

I saw some screencaps at Daeya.org where you could see Vincent's eyes really well and they were definitely red. :wub:

Hmmmm, interesting. I hadn't really noticed that. I'd always thought that the red was to add a little color/spice to her design. The character designer for Neon Genesis Evangalieon gave Rei red eyes just to make her design more interesting, so I always thought Tifa's were along that line. I hadn't thought about them being the color of meteor.
I also wonder, why change the color of her eyes? It's now a light golden brown, when before it was DEFINATLY a very red brown(actually, it was bright red in the game and brown-red in the art). It's a huge change, so why?

Well, in my opinion red is a very passionate and strong colour (that's why I often dye my hair red ^_^) while green is more comforting and caring (haven't dyed my hair green yet...maybe one of these days for cosplay purposes). :)

They suit him very well, they give him this more dangerous and un-natural feeling. :D

I'd prefer brown for Tifa anyway. It's way more natural and it suits her more. She hasn't been tainted by mako in any way, etc. But with Vincent, he has been altered in all kinds of ways. The red suits him. Especially with how he can transform into different kinds of monsters with no self control. So I don't see why Tifa should have red eyes when it just isn't her.

Her eyes are brown, but with a small, red tint to them. It's just to make them stand out, I think. It kind of adds a little glare on the rest of her eye, and makes it look reddish.

I agree that they are brown, the red is simply to make the color look more warm, my husband and mom both have eyes that color, where in the light they show a reddish tint. So I never thought red because I'm so used to seeing that color, lol.

And staying on-topic, yes I prefer to think of Tifa's eyes as brown. It's a warm, natural colour, and I think it suits her. It's only the characters who've been altered in some way or aren't human who have unusual eyes (Mako eyes, for instance). I agree with CG that Vincent's red eyes represent how abnormal he is, how he's been altered. Tifa hasn't been tainted or altered, so I think her eyes ought to be a more ordinary colour. ^_^

i thought it was weird how in the game her eyes seem really red, but yeah they are meant to be brown, my eyes are brown but they have a green tint on the outside of them so maybe tifa's eyes could be a mix of colour.

Never gave much thought on Tifa's eyes.n_n; I always thought in the begining her eyes were more of the color red, until I saw the trailers for Advent Children. I agree, brown fits her a lot more then red.n_n

Noruma-san's original drawings of Tifa show she has brown eyes but you can see a little reddish glow in them, but they are pretty much brown.

Its funny that Cloud has a strange glow because he was exposed to Mako, and Aeris has a strange light in her green eyes... Maybe clotis say Tifa's eyes are red because they want to make them 'unique' or 'special', like the two MAIN characters, imo. :cleris:
