A bunch of members are talking about being torn over whether to view spoilers or not. I'm starting this thread for people who do NOT want spoilers.

In this thread, you can ask questions about anything you're wondering about. Questions will be answered very simply, without giving any detail. For example:

Q. Will Cleris people enjoy AC?

A question like that can be answered with a simple yes, no, or *squeee* :fangirl: YES!!! :cleris:

If people would like it, I could also write a spoiler-free summary of the plot. Something like this:

It starts in Midgar. The orphans get kidnapped. Cloud goes to the Sleeping Forest to rescue them. The SHM fight Cloud there. Vincent appears. Vincent tells Cloud about Geostigma.

All answers and the summary can be written in hidden text so that you have to highlight the text in order to read it. Then people can read ONLY the answers that they're curious about.

Would this be helpful to people who don't want spoilers? :unsure:

A word of advice, stay away from the spoiler forum here. It's not the same place it was anymore. Now the spoilers are out of Square's hands and the entire plot itself is being rocketed around by a bunch of crazed Venetians! :sad:

We don't have a full report yet, and some of the information we're getting seems to be very unreliable so far. So I can't answer any questions yet! :lol:

I read the latest interviews with Nomura and the VA for Cloud and Tifa on AC.net though...I was a bit bummed that they had the VAs for Cloud and Tifa but not Aerith. :-(

Just to let you know... we still don't have a full report yet. We've heard some comments from different people, but some of it sounds unreliable.

We got one report from Variety which was pretty funny. They hated the movie and knew nothing about FFVII. They referred to the SHM as "biker boys", Jenova as a "genetic mutant", and Bahamut as a "dragonlike monster with samurai armor". :lol: There wasn't a whole lot of detail in it. We only learned one new piece of information.

Yup it's true, Maaya Sakamoto was Aerith's VA for the japanese version of Kingdom Hearts, as well as Advent Children and probably any other compilation of FF7 that features Aerith. :aeris:

About ALL we've heard about is who appeared at the screening last night. We've learned a bit about Nomura's interview after the screening last night, where he talked about the VA's. (There is spoiler information about the characters - so don't look at it! :lol:)

We've only learned a few parts of the plot - what happens to the SHM, what happens to Geostigma, something about Sephy, and something about Cloud. We've learned nothing about what happens in the LT. So we don't know very much yet. :sad:

Um, still nothing? XD I want details. Please tell me Cloud and Tifa don't "end up together" persay. I had a dream last night that they got married. :(

We know the general idea of what happened in the movie (from some member sources) and what happened in the end. We're just waiting for some reports to come that are slightly more detailed now. And just so they can verify what some people said about the plot.

That really depends on personal preference. :lol: Some people are ok with it and some people hate it.

I think Jenova is right. Different people are having different reactions to the plot. I was very disappointed in some aspects it. In my opinion, Aerith, Sephiroth, and Jenova were shortchanged. There are some good battles with Sephiroth, but the way he comes back is stupid. <_< I also felt that the solution to Geostigma was cheesy and lame.

But that's just my own opinion. Other people are much happier with it than I am. :lol:

I feel the same way that Anastar does. <_< I don't even know if I want to buy this movie anymore.

I'm feeling a little better now that something was clarified. I had the wrong impression about one scene.

But I still don't like the Sephiroth, Jenova, and Geostigma factors. <_< I think they were done very poorly.

I also would have liked to see Aerith get more screentime.

Seii was giving reasons why we shouldn't be bothered that Aerith doesn't have much screentime.

Seii - I don't think the screentime that Aerith had was used effectively. Perhaps that "bonus" scene would change my mind if I knew more about it, or if I knew more about the hand reach scene. So far, I've heard very little that makes me like the way Aerith was used in the short amount of time that she was given.

Okay, we've learned a bit more. It's sounding better, but I'm still unhappy with a few things. Sephiroth, Jenova, and Geostigma were used in a very lame way, in my opinion.

We've learned a bit more about the LT, and something was clarified for me. Cleris people will be happier than I first thought, but I think the Cloti's will continue to argue.

On a scale of 0 being terrible and 10 being excellent, here's my ranking:

Plot = 5
Action = 9
Interesting? = 4
Sephiroth = 2
Jenova = 1
Geostigma = 0
LT = 4 or 5
Aerith = 5
Cloud = 6
Zack = 8
Tifa = don't know enough yet
Vincent, Yuffie, Cid, Barret, Red, Cait = don't know enough yet
Rufus + Turks = don't know enough yet

So far, that's my reaction to it, but other people feel differently. Madame Batolli, Jenova, and Seii are happy with the LT, Aerith, and Cleris. FF_G is unhappy with the LT, Cleris, and Aerith. Slowerthanaverage isn't happy about the SHM or Sephiroth. She's okay with the Cleris part.

No one likes what was done with Sephiroth, Jenova, and Geostigma. :lmao:

But I like the cleris-ness, and even though the clotis will continue to argue, I see what Square was doing, so I'm fine. I'm sure the action is good too, and the Zack-ness really isn't that bad. ;)

Me and my fiance are really excited about it. He spent the last week making me promise not to spoil it for him and as soon as I mentioned one little name, he cracked and insisted that I tell him. :lol:

Hell, I'm tempted to give the Cleris bits another 10, myself. It's turned out almost exactly as I'd expected it to. I think SE did a fair job in regards to the LTD.

Aerith apparently looks even better than her KH counterpart. I am now torn as to look for screenshots of her face or wait to see her in the movie itself. >.<
