Title: Put A Pop Song In Ac

If you could shove an existing popular tune in AC, what would you do?

I'd use Europe's "The Final Countdown" for when Cloud gets his game on and decides to fight with all he's got. Cloud looks at the buster sword stuck in the ground as the camera slowly zooms in with the music fading in. Flashes of Sephiroth's hateful face and Aerith's smile as the opening swells until the intro climaxes and Cloud grabs the sword. He races off towards Midgar to save the day. Cut to Midgar where the other heroes are giving it all but know they can't hold on much longer. The SHM are having a jolly old time as they wait on the eve of victory. Suddenly Cloud shows up, just as the exhausted heroes are about to blasted by Bahamut. He leaps in the air and takes the sucker down. Bahamaut crashes to the ground at the false climax. The drumbeat comes to a still. Cloud and Kadaj lock their stares. The chords stab with every cut back and forth between the two, Kadaj takes off like a wimp and heads for the church to get his precious box. Cloud looks at his comrades, who all nod for him to go after him, perhaps letting him know that they'll follow in the airship shortly. Cloud arrives at the chruch where Kadaj is waiting. The final stabbing chords finish the song, and he walks through the doors into Kadaj's ambush with nothing but an unsettling silence.

It would be hilarious and awesome at the same time! To make it less cheesy, I'd opt for the London Symphony Orchestra version (yes, once upon a time they played orchestrated versions of 80's songs, LOL)

And of course, I don't know the order that the scenes in the trailer will appear in, I'm just using my imagination. :D

I don't think I would want ANY song from an 80's hair band in AC. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Don't get me wrong-- "The Final Countdown" is awesome and I do like Europe, but... not in AC.

I honestly wouldn't mind hearing "My Immortal" by Evanescence playing during one of the scenes of Cloud brooding over Aerith. That song reminds me of CloudxAerith more than any other song...

I think that "The Final Countdown" would be great, but for a Music Video not for the movie. I was thinking of making one myself, after I got the movie.

I'd love hearing something like "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" while Cloud is riding Fenrir alone, and thinking of all his memories with Aerith. That would be so overwhealming.

YES. GREEN DAY FOREVER.

Pop should NEVER touch AC. EVER. POP NEEDS TO DIE A HORRIBLE PAINFUL DEATH.

Green Day or Incubus. *Nods*

Yeah, I prefer classical music, but then the lol-factor would be missing. I was torn between Eye of Tiger and The Final Countdown. I still hope we get some kind of Rocky-ish moment from the movie when Cloud rekindles his fighting spirit :D

Back to the subject of classical music, Vaughn-William's "Lark Ascending" reminds me of FF7, (there was actually a fan who remixed the main theme of FF7 to sound like it. Jeremy Robinson, very talented remixer.) despite being 15 minutes long, I think that "Lark" would fit with movie very nicely.

Putting something Welcome To The Jungle by Guns N' Roses during the fight scenes would be awesome. It'd get you all pumped up.

Looks like there WILL be an 80's song in Advent Children after all! Check out the front page of adventchildren.net.

I AM TEH PSYCHIC

No where near close to hair band rock or Rocky music though, thank goodness.

I think it sounds absurdly upbeat and carefree. It's practically like putting "Jump" by Van Halen in the movie.

Awww, I like hair band music to a point.
