This club's views aren't meant to offend anyone's views on character relationships.

This place is in honor of the characters in all games that are not in canon couples. While it is fun to think about them in relationships, sometimes it's even better to respect them the way they were in the games: Single. I, myself do not believe just because someone is "there", they have to be paired up with another. Single people are just as happy, if not happier, than those in relationships. So let's support our single pixelated characters! Talk about them all here!

I absolutely love the name and I'd be honored to join! I find nothing wrong with characters being single, point in case, Terra. She's a beautiful, lovely character who REMAINS SINGLE yet still finds love (although it is not "romantic" love, per say, it's still love, yes?). ^_^

I was thinking of making a list of the more popular characters that are single. Just so people can see for themself who is on it since many people are too into the relationships they support to really notice.

Lessee. Make sure to add Sephiroth and Kadaj to that list. :o

Actually, most characters in FFVII are single if you think about it, people just persist in pairing them up. I think out of all the characters, the ones most likely to be NOT single are Cid and Red XIII. :lol:

Laguna was in love with Raine, but after she died, he didn't go with anyone else, thus Laguna = single.

As MT mentioned, Terra stayed single, from our POV Tifa is also single, as are Yuffie, and ... most of the characters. 0_o;;

EDIT: MT just said what I was saying, almos everyone in FFVII is single. ^^;

*Laughs* Yeah, Red ends up with children and if Cid named a new airship after Shera, something has to be going on there. Much like the Cid in FFIX who named his after his wife. :lol:

I really respect FFVII for not having the whole story about who is with who. Just shows that there are things way more important.

Oh yes, this club also respects how people can still have feelings for someone after they are "gone" and they honor those feelings. Not just run off with someone else. :whistle:

Amen! Laguna, Yuna, Shuyin (to a certain extent :lol:) all stayed single with the memory of their beloved in their hearts. ;)

Yeah, Terra's a very strong character, and there was no need to give her a love interest, she's still just as awesome (and probably moreso) without one.

I know you guys covered the FFVII people already, but Vincent really comes to mind for me. He still has the memory of Lucrecia, and he's also a good character by himself.

I agree with the Laguna bit. Raine died, so he did his share of moruning (I'm sure) BUT, he stayed single. He didn't give up on the fact that Raine still loved him from whereever she was and he never gave up knowing that she knew that he still loved her.
As for Terra, I don't know much about. I never played that instalment. But it is a good club. Thanks for making it Jenova ^_^

Very well said, CG! I hate the idea that Cloud HAS to pair up with someone new in order to be happy. <_< If Cloud doesn't die in AC, I'd *much* rather see him stay single than be paired up with Tifa. :puke: I think Cloud would be miserable in a relationship with Tifa.

Reno and Rude weren't heroes, but they've got many fans. I don't see them worrying about getting into a relationship. Laguna didn't pair up with anyone else after Raine died. Dyne didn't pair up with anyone else after his wife died. Vincent's not searching for a relationship. Although I think there's potential, Barret didn't show any interest in pairing up with someone else after his wife died.

I could go on, but there's plenty of single characters out there who don't need to be in a relationship. I don't see why people think it's necessary for Cloud to be in a relationship in order to be happy.
