Now we have most likely all heard that supposedly Aeris wasn't going to die, or that there was going to be a way to bring her back in the original plans for FFVII, well, I've been looking aroundand found out quite a few things that differed from the original ideas to what became the game we know.


I couldn't find any relyable source saying that Aeris was going to be brought back from the dead, but there were quite a few rather reliable sources syaing that originally she wasn't going to die in the first place.

There's more too it than that though. Aeris not only had her role, she apparently had most of Tifa's as well. Aeris was supposedly Cloud's childhood friend in the original draft.

Tifa was mentioned as a secondary character much like Vincent and Yuffie.

Vincent was first desgned to be a vampire hunter. After that, he was changed into an alchemist.

One of the major plot points was the idea of a demon chasing an angel across the world. (metemorphically speaking.) The roles of the demon and angel were taken by Cloud and Sephiroth. This is also another reason why you see them both sporting wings in Kingdom Hearts.

The FFVII Ultimania Omega being released on 9th September is supposed to have something on the original scenario from during the development.

I haven't heard about quite a lot of those things you mentioned, though. Where did you find out about those?

I know for a fact that Vincent one is a rumor born from his appearance. No such thing as vampires in FFVII. :unsure:

And don't trust everything you see online. I don't believe anything FF unless Square themselves say it's so.
