Whats Lucky 7777?

Starlight Night - August 11, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
Lucky 7777 is when your hp gets down to that number and you always deal 7777 damage (I think). I think you also get 7777 exp from it. It only works in battles though.

Yes I have had it happen to me before.

Lucky 7777 is when a characters HP is 7777. They attack 64 times in a row for 7777 each. Then any attacks they do after assuming there HP remains 7777 does 7777 damage. Also after the battle there HP drops to 1.

I have gotten it, and if you're wondering how to do it, it can be done with the HP absorb materia. (I think that's what it is... it lowers your HP, correct me if I'm wrong.) I haven't figured it out for all of the characters yet, but I do know that Cloud at level 99 with that materia on makes lucky 7's. :)

Holy crap, you did your homework.

There's a way to get your character to do lucky 7's, but I can't remember how! It involves levels, HP Plus Materia and the cat bell  I did it years ago. It's really not worth it because by the time you CAN get all those items usually you're doing 9999
Although it is always fun when it happens accidently :D

Wingless - August 13, 2005 12:25 PM (GMT)
I've only had lucky 7's happen to me once. It was completely by accident, and I had no idea what was happening, it happened so fast. Suddenly the name-bar started flashing and Cloud went all crazy with attacks. :D The battle ended and I was like "what the heck?"

Then I found out about lucky 7's and I thought it was pretty cool. ^_^ But I never got them again, unfortunately, and I'm too lazy to work to get them. :P

The easiest way to get lucky 7's is to escape 2222 times with the chocobuckle skill, and then just use it on a level 9999 character. ^_^

Have any of you guys ever been in a battle where the enemies have lucky 7's? I've heard it can happen, but it's never happened in any of my games.

Here's a great way to get lucky 7

Make sure that your max HP is greater than 7777, and your current HP is less than 7777. Go somewhere where fights are easy, like around Midgar. Enter the fight, and cast Stop on all the enemies. Then cast Mini on one of your party members. Have the mini person take swings at another party member until their HP ends in a "77" (6677, 2477, etc...). Then finish the fight, and use Potions and Hi-Potions to get the hundreds and thousands digits to "77" also. You're all set!

This is useful when your about to fight Emarald weapon. Doesn't work on Ruby.

Whoa....I've never gotten a lucky 7... X__X Cause I played through the entire game with the help of Gameshark....

Whoa...you guys are lucky, yeah, I use the strategy guide, yin. But it has an index in the back of the book for all the secrets.
